*** June 2015 Mummies ***

Sorry Pismo, we've just got our 4th coming up so we've never really done all that much. We have tended to opt for doing something/saving money other buying presents. Might get him something next year though.

When we get to our 'paper' anniversary I might get him a sort of gift certificate for an experience day, that'll be on paper I suppose. He's in to cars and motorbikes so something like that he'd enjoy

Yes I get the train every day though it's just a 15 / 20 min journey each way so not too bad.

I'm afraid I don't think we got each other anything though we did go away for a couple of nights. This year we both forgot and it was only our 2nd year .

It's Wispy who's in labour (MUST get my bag sorted!!) x

Ok, I saw that but I didn't realise she was a June mummy, i couldn't see her on the front page!

Just noticed my ticker says 34 days to go, that doesn't sound long at all!!

I'm allowed a sweep at 39w, they don't want me to go over with this one so I'm pleased about that. Was overdue with my first and I really don't want again.

That's terrible about the train belfa! But like you say, they should be feeling the shame but it's amazing when people chose to be oblivious to others around them!

're; baby moving, I too am now feeling big, quite painful rumbles and turning which lead to very weird sensations on my bladder! I am one step away from those Tenas!!

I think I will get him a token something - Then maybe go out for food. Unfortunately our land lady hit us with our quarterly electricity and water bill this month so that wiped out any savings that I had planned to put towards a night away. Still have a bottle of champagne that we were going to open on our first anniversary that'll have to wait until LO is here :)

29 days to go here! Really doesn't seem real...

Looking back its all gone so quickly yet at the time it seems to drag.

Pismo we only celebrated our first anniversary last month. Bought hubby a personalised card off moon pig.. and we went for a nice Chinese meal and bought ourselves a wedding canvas of ourselves as haven't got one yet.

Thanks :) I was thinking something along those lines. All of our wedding photos are still on the memory stick :( waiting until we move house to get them printed and hung on the walls.

I'd like a nice big picture from our wedding day. I'd really like a family portrait done too.

I was just thinking the other day, my hospital bag is pretty much done but I haven't sorted any 'easy/freezer' meals for the first few days. Not sue whether to try and cook big batches and freeze stuff or just buy ready meals. I got ready meals from Waitrose last time, they were quite good, can be pricey though, unless you catch them on offer.

I think we'll live off frozen fish, chicken kievs etc with frozen veg (and probably chips...) for the first few weeks. Every time I decide I'm going to do batches of chili etc. we never remember to defrost it x

Oooh I have my second anniversary and been racking my brains for a present idea!! Want to buy soon as anniversary is two days before due date so a little close!! We're going for food next week for it. It's meant to be cotton for second.

I've bought OH a Father's Day present already off little one! Is that lame?? Lol!

I will probably stock up on easy to cook freezer stuff too. The steam bags of veg are fab! I may do a couple of batches of spag bol, chilli and other big batch meals (suggestions on a postcard!) for when I feel like DS needs some proper food.

Buggy - I'm waiting for this LO to arrive and will probs book a family photo shoot in a few months (when I'm looking a little less bloated)

x

No karenb not lame! That's just being organized and cute!!
Every time I come on this site I feel so unorganized at reading how everyone else is so organized! I think I'm beginning to feel slightly overwhelmed and panicky at what is left to sort and buy. It is a little different when it's not your first (this is our fourth!) but I really am going to have to get mine and the hubbys ar** into gear! Must plan a subtle attack on him this evening.....although they're mainly jobs for me to sort, wash all baby clothes in soap flakes, put away said clothes, make up snuzpod, start packing hospital bags, huge 'cook off', buy car seat, fit isofix.....oh gawd this list is endless....arrghh!!

I've been thinking about Father's Day because I know our little boy will Defo be here by then! Exciting! Xx

I'm going to do a huge batch cook soon, my mum might help me as otherwise I prob won't bother. My butchers do a deal if you buy 5lb of fresh mince you get 20% off so thinking of doing that to make a huge chilli and put in tubs! gonna make some burgers and freeze! a massive mac n cheese, yum! And maybe a spag Bol or something and then a few pizzas in freezer etc..

I've also been thinking about Father's Day. I will choose a card as soon as I see them in shops (can't be long) and wanna get a load of I love daddy stuff.

Ah got days off until weekend, work is getting tough now but they are being really good, 5 more shifts I think.

Ooo busy thread. I am trying to catch up.

Ahhh another June mum having their baby! We will beat May at this rate lol ;-)! Actually that's not funny...

Was at 36 week appointment this morning. Not the most exciting! Baby head down still, but not engaged yet - tho close. Was over an hour waiting before I got seen :(! So was in a bit of a bad mood before I eventually made it to work by lunch - BUT arrived to the most amazing balloon and confetti and gifts all over my desk!! Received a huge voucher for Mothercare along with a beautiful basket with nappies, wipes, piggy bank, teddy, sponges, bibs....I was totally bowled over!! Couldn't believe it. Feeling very loved - and a bit overwhelmed. Can't believe I only have 2 days left!

We have started doing bulk cooking! Emptied the freezer of all the old crap we were never gonna eat (and might have killed us haha) and put in a good 5 portions of bolognese on Monday!! Hoping to do a chilli and a beef stew too! Maybe some soup!

Oh you're nearly fully cooked Coletteypie!! How exciting!

My baby's been quite quiet today, I don't know if it's because I've hardly had any sleep again. I got some lemonade at lunch and he had hiccups with that but not been getting the big rumbles I usually get. I'll need a lie down when I get home anyway so will see what the activity level is then x

I'm nervous as early babies seem to run in my family.. Oh and fast labours... as long as I get to enjoy some of my maternity leave first.

My baby is also quieter but the movements are different, baby had some hiccups too this afternoon after some chocolate and cold water. hubby feels them but if I lay down can see tummy moving but not necessarily feel it, any idea what that means with position etc???

Mines actually the same Lucy. I have just eaten a twix in the train (thankfully there was a seat ;) ) and there's something odd at my belly button though I can't quite describe it. I think he's definitely lying a funny way x

Glad you managed to get a seat this evening Belfa!!

Will be googling a list of meals to batch cook over the next few days... Then I'll get all my ingredients and try to cook as much as possible in one day. Don't know why I thought I'd get bored on mat leave, seems I haven't stopped really.

When is fathers day? Should really get organised for that too :) Will be OH first official fathers day (had DS with an ex - although we always celebrate OH the day before to make sure he feels special and appreciated).

xx
