*** June 2015 Mummies ***

I was convinced my baby was transverse as I have a lump at both sides of my bump, but just back from the midwife and she says nope, head down still, the lump on the left is his feet/legs and the lump on the right is his back. i guess baby is a lot bigger than I thought haha

Yeah i had a go at perineal massage....was a total waste of time. I understood the logic of what to do, but couldn't physically do it. And won't be asking OH to do it lol! Tho I'm sure he prob would if I did...but i'm just gonna have to wing it! You need to do it twice a day for 6 weeks apparently!

Yeah was the tearing that Becky had that made me freak slightly. Gosh she had a tough one! Don't think i'm gonna read anymore labour stuff now until my own D-Day!!

Yeah my baby went transverse for a day around 32/33 weeks. Wasn't comfy and my tummy looked weird. Baby made their way back head down and has stayed that way since. I can tell cos when baby has hiccups i mostly feel it in my bum or very low down lol!! I'm just hoping baby isn't back to back...!

I got a leaflet from Nct about
Perenial massage, has a diagram about what to do and I was so shocked! I must be a complete prude! Ewwww, makes me feel a bit squeamish if I'm honest. Will give it a go though at some point, but not sure I can reach!

Been to see midwife this morning, bubs is finally head down! So pleased :) Was previously lying oblique since 27 weeks.

Hope you're all well! Jealous of those on mat leave already, I'm finishing 22nd May and spending my days training up my replacement :) xx

Yeah Pismo when I googled it was like oh:shock:

Charlie hope you are getting plenty of rest.

My baby is still really high, hope bubs drops at some point.

I've just got up! Packed rest of babies things in hospital bag! This is my first official maternity day really because of bank holiday. Feel a bit lost to be honest! I'm gonna be productive and get some cleaning done. I want to get nursery finished too. Still yet to build babies wardrobe. Someone was gonna come today but after hospital last night I just wanted a day to chill at home alone :)

Really can't quite believe how far we have all come! So excited!!!!! Xx

Charlie I feel the same- a bit lost!! Hubby working 1.30 til 9.30pm today, been in town shopping now home and don't know what to do with myself!! Gonna be loooong days til baby comes!!

A random lady told me my bump is 'a funny shape' today, I was tempted to retaliate with 'so's your face' but went for the more mature stifled grin. The cheek of some people!!

Some people are so rude aren't they! You have a lovely bump!!!

I'm cleaning now, I find it a bit more enjoyable knowing I'm not in work in the evening so I can enjoy the tidiness before OH comes home and makes a mess :) haha

Baby had a quieter day yesterday except for one big movement which I put down to a turn at the time, just hope it wasn't the wrong kind of turn! I'm sure it's just a funny angle but will demonstrate to DH tonight lol.

Is anyone else suffering with really bad stretch marks? My stomach is like a road map, it's awful and I'm so good with my oils and creams, there's not much more I can do.

Had my breastfeeding class today and there were a couple of women in there who's babies had already been born at 31 weeks so they'd come up from special care to listen the class - mega scary! I seem to feel quite ill in the middle of these classes as it's all becoming so real, definitely don't think I'll be reading many more labour stories! x

I'm suffering with stretch marks mainly on my hips at the back and some on the side of my bum/thighs. Don't have any on my bump yet though. I've been using luminesce on them and they are fading! :) very expensive but it's doing something for them! Xx

Karen how rude! You should've said that to her, hilarious!

No stretch marks for me which is something Im grateful for. But baby is definitely still transverse, 100%. Coming up 33 weeks and never felt a single movement above my belly button. Really starting to worry that this might be where he stays.
I am very very uncomfortable. :( :(

Aw no Rachy! I really hope he turns, have they said when they'll assess what to do?

My baby is making really weird movements and with every move I feel like I'm going to let out a bit of pee. Talking about letting out pee, I couldn't believe how compressed your bladder and bowel gets during labour!

I have a few stretch marks in my hips but my stomach is telling me I'll be in one piece swimming costumes for ever more! I'll look up that stuff Charlie x

After reading Becky's thread I've been googling 'clitoral tears' I have to say this is news to me, I didn't know it was possible

Haha I was confused by it too buggy!

Standing on train holding on to the handle on the priority seats. The people in the seats are staring at my bump but no one has given me their seat. I know I should tell them to shove off out of principle but I am actually ashamed for them! x

Belfa - You should get yourself a baby on board badge (hoping that those people just don't want to offend!) so that people are certain before offering their seat :) My friend uses one on her commute into London and she hasn't stood since!

Sat at the desk at home on my birthing ball. Got to admit, its really comfy. Finding it harder and harder to get comfortable at night now too...

xx

I think those badges are for London / England thing, don't think we have them up here :(.

It's interesting because I then went to starbucks as I've not slept 2 nights in a row now and the queue was really long and a nice man got me to sit down whilst I waited. It's funny what must go through people's heads when they someone who may need a seat x

Yea, just googled them and all the ones I found had the Underground symbol on them. Do you commute into work every day Belfa?

Cant believe another June mummy is in labour! Its all go from here - Were all going to start popping like balloons :D

x

I got offered a seat on the work bus this morning. Normally get random baggage handlers staring at us. Made me day. You can also get priority seat cards down south.

I need help ladies - Its my first wedding anniversary on the 9th (cant quite believe how fast this year has gone!) and although funds are low I still want to do/get something special for OH.

I have a couple of ideas to begin with but would love some more - What did you do/get for yours?

As it is officially our paper anniversary I was thinking of getting him something along those lines - a book and a print from our wedding day.

xx
