****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

You are very lucky Jem. I can't wait for news of your scan ;)

PB - I feel your pain. What an awful and ridiculous thing to say. Reminds me of MIL offering to buy a sofa bed for the nursery so that she has somewhere to stay and me and Dan instantly saying, "Yes, no problem if it's just you and no dogs, easy enough to bring the cot into our room while you're here, lol. She was not amused that he plan to sleep with the baby was foiled hahaha!

I can't believe we'll be 21 weeks tomorrow Shan. Where is this time going? I've just finished the new menu for the pub and about to go off shopping now to get the last of the bits I need for it. Feels good and I can properly advertise the place now that everything is running more smoothly.

Did absolutely bugger all yesterday and I feel so full of energy again today, it's fab. No idea how though, ended up having jumbo cod and chips last night at 9pm and I finished all fish and all chips, which is a lifetime first for me. I'm clearly taking nutrition really seriously! Haha.

Anyway...I have to say this as I hope I can be a fair and just person...MIL did call last night for the first time since we told them about the baby at Christmas. They all did sound very excited (about time) and were asking what they could buy to help us. In 10 years, it was the first conversation Dan has had with them in which nothing snidey, sarcastic or mean was said and when Dan put the phone down, he was in utter shock at having just had the first ever civil and even pleasant conversation with his family. Fingers crossed it becomes more regular...It was such a nice change seeing Dan happy after talking to them, not on the verge of tears.

Like they say, leopards don't usually change their spots, but my mum is so different with DD. She was honestly the worst mother ever, I hated her. We don''t have a mother daughter relationship even though she phones now every day almost. The only reason she sees DD with how she was is because she was mentally ill and unmedicated growing up. So I try to be understanding. But she changed with Ivy, like a second chance. Shes just learned to knit and knitted baby a blanket. And shes making Ivy a quilt thing so she "doesn't feel left out". You really never know. I hope for your sake they wise up a little

I actually cant believe its 21 weeks tomorrow! xx

Well boring day for me. I've done nothing today! Even ordering a takeaway for dinner cause I'm just not up to it. My back is easing though which is a good thing. A little sciatica in one leg but hopefully that pisses off too.

I'm realising that the amount of stress I've been feeling may be getting me more than just a little down. So many things going on with family and it feels like everyone comes to only me with their issues for help. Which is all good but lately its just a lot. My grandad had a stroke, my mum had one of her episodes last week and I had to call the police out to check she hadnt been an idiot since she lives in Omagh, and I live in Scotland. I had to lend my brother £200 because he couldn't afford his rent and told nobody and my father in law may have early onset dementia. I hate stress or drama and sometimes it all just comes piling up

When I thought my disk was going again I just though "are you fucking kidding me?" I hate moaning and I've deleted two posts so far for whining. I'm going to try giving myself a good kick though. xx

Jem worrying is natural - that's what mother do - get used to it xx

Shan that sounds like a lot to have on your plate! It must be hard to be the one everyone counts on. I hope things get a bit more quiet for you now x

Shan...don't delete any more posts. Honestly. We all deserve to have a place to vent and rant freely and it really is cathartic to do so.

Sounds like a genuinely shitty time and you totally deserve to feel sorry for yourself. Xx

Oh shan sounds horrible. I'm so happy you gave up work so you don't have that on your shoulders too x

So, looks like we're having a May wedding. £300 all in at the registry office and a bit of a party at the pub afterwards. Then we'll do a fake ceremony with my beautiful dress in September for all the family and friends that we won't be able to invite to this real one.

I'm so happy. I'm actually really glad I'll be huge by then because I'll definitely look like a pregnant bride, not just a fat one, lol

Thanks ladies it's so nice to have a judge free forum honestly. I'm okay now. OH has some neurology appointments too which I need to get through. Baby has been nice and active today, like a little reminder that I need to stop stressing and sort myself out for her xx

please vent here shanivy it sounds like you have a lot on your plate. much better getting it out

last week (or maybe the week before) there was a discussion of growth spurts, I wonder if I'm having one. I've been super tired the lat few days and today I felt really swollen down below and tonight in the shower my nipples were really enlarged with big blue veins. all over my boobs has beenmore veiny but my nipples were freaky. I just wonder if I've suddenly had a boost of blood flow. don't remember this with DD

Good luck with your scan Jemrose! I hope it all goes well

aw wow GG that's fantastic! so happy for you

yes I'm definitely going to read up on it after my stressful time last time. I friend recently did it and had an amazing experience following a horrible first Labour. I just need to buy some books
