Shan, push for a scan but if they won't do it, can you get a private scan asap?

Just to ease your mind. A miscarriage at this stage would mean debilitating cramps and huge blood loss. This is far more likely to be due to the increased blood volume and an irritation somewhere inside. Its highly likely there's been a bit of a bleed in your vagina somewhere that's clotted well, but for whatever reason, the clot has broken up and moved and the source of it has bled a bit more, hence little clots and fresh red blood.

Please try not to panic, no cramps is a very very good sign. If you have a doppler, leave it well alone though, they should not be used for this scenario. If you want reassurance, go to A&E or to a private clinic.

Sorry to jump in on your situation shan. But just been for a wee and had bright red blood on wiping... I have been pretty sore and itchy since yesterday and wondered if I might have thrush. Can thrush cause bleeding??

If youve itched too much could have made yourself bleed. I've never herd of it making you bleed on it's own though. Go Hosp if you're worried hun x

Normally I'd say call your midwife but ladies, just go to A&E if you're worried. Early bleeding they are hesitant to check out but second trimester, a quick scan is an easy way to calm fears xx

Not a lot she just said wait and see if it gets worse or not and hopefully it is just a blip. Starting to get aching pain which I told her and she was like well if bleeding gets worse ring 111 they can do more than we can..

Seems to have stopped. No idea why it started at all. The clots scared me. And being 14 weeks I thought I was done with this. They told me if I bleed to bring a pad in and they'll look at it first before deciding to scan or not. A&e would send me round to triage as maternity is in the hospital. OH phoned them back as I was so upset and they said they can't speak to him about it despite me saying he could speak on my behalf. Dickheads. I feel like shit

GG thanks for the post just saw it. I'm holding on to that but my mc at 10started with bleeding before any pain started so I can't help but freak out. Looking for private scan fuck the hospital seriously. I know that seems so self absorbed and over dramatic but I feel like the only people I can call to help aren't really that fussed. xx

Jem I hope you're okay. 111 are useless and so is she. Thrush can cause bleeding I'm sure btw. Lie about the bleeding I should have xx

Oh Shan, that's disgraceful. Do they know about your previous mc?

Jem...all I've ever been told is that of it's pain OR bleeding, they'll want you to wait, but if both, they'll sort something. Fuck your midwives, call your local epu directly and tell them you have cramping and bleeding or just take yourself to A&E.

In my file GG but she said I'm on the green pathway. So angry with them. I hate feeling helpless. Found a scan they have reassurance scans and dating scans. But only a dating scan available do you think I'm okay to book that one and just pretend it's for dating? Can get it for Sunday xx

I agree with gg jem. Pain qmd bleeding but hopefully gg is right and just stress.

So at my scan they said I was 13+4 so today I would be 13+6. Which I worked out and if that's the case, I would have got a decent line on a 25miu test at 5dpo. Which is actually ridiculous. :/ so when my midwife brings it up I'm gonna tell her it's completely stupid. Meh. Gonna stick with mine iknk when I ovulated because I couldn't move of the sofa with the pain I was in with it (the day after we dtd for the first time aftr dd was born aha)
