*****December Babies*****

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas but am guessing it varies on how busy they are etc. I am going to be induced as baby is too big due to my gestational diabetes. I go back on 28 November and they will then let me know an induction date. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas on how long after that it is likely to be?

I'd guess it would also depend on how busy they already were for pre booked inductions. Xx

I feel really iccy tonigt been sick and feeling generally nauseas now :( boo xx

Awwr doob, go and get in bed.. :) I've been feeling poorly all week.. Feel like I've got morning sickness again..
Sholou, my friend got induced at 38 weeks when she had GD but she had her induction date for about a month.. I guess it depends on your area. X

Just watched one born every minute. Wow that programme has a whole new angle now lol xx

Thanks Sosie. I watched the one born with that man who has a right go at his wife for declining a c section when she really wanted to have a natural birth. Think it's the first series, I wanted to punch him and then I wanted to punch OH who said but you've got to understand he's stressed too he doesn't mean it. I 'suppose' i get that but told OH if he did that he wouldn't be anywhere near the delivery room! X

Lol. My OH said what I say goes so he better remember he said that. He said he's going to make me laugh the whole labour. God help me! Xx

I suspect my OH will be in a state of shock the whole time lol x

I'm being induced and find out my date on Wednesday so will let you know. I was told I'll be induced at 36wks but I can see it being a few days over as they probably need to get a space for me or something. Eeek so scary!

LOL I can just see him doing a stand up routine whilst you're trying to push!

Not looking forward to induction, heard mixed things about it. I think I will be calling for them just to get baby out if it doesn't work!

Im also not looking foward to my csection. Waiting for the phone call this week for date. Think ill be jumping every time the phone rings lol Ive heard alot of people say a planned section is a calm and nice experience. But its the surgery part that scares me! Also the afterwards with the scar and keeping infection out. I'll let you ladies know when i get the date :) xx

I think a planned section will be fine, it will be scary but you really can pace yourself with it and know that once it's started your baby will be with you shortly. Also even though recovery is said to be longer I've heard from a lot of people it's really not that bad.

I'm scared of induction too, the fact that they say contractions are more painful and it could go on for days :( also more likely for an assisted delivery, really don't want to see those forceps coming at me or get cut. Ughh. :(

I could opt for an elective section but as both babies are down my consultant wants me to try naturally, I can really see it being like a 4 day contraction filled painful experience, but I guess if I think the worst anything better will be a bonus :oooo: argh

A friend of mine had a planned c section she said its most calmest thing ever and pain after isn't bad just take pain killers regularly. My three nephews were born by emergency c section (as was I!) my sisters advice is to make sure u have strong pain killers before u stand first time

Baby is being very quiet, I've been awake a lot in night and not felt her move, getting a bit worried

Im the same hun bubs must be sleepy. Ive woken up again with a headache so cant sleep. But ive had 10 movements/ wriggles from her so not that worried. Has bubs moved since posting? Xx
