Chart Stalkers February 2008

Have discarded them.

I've had the cold for about a week. AF should be due next sunday.

hmmm.... and  again!

It's a bit like trying to do a jigsaw puzzle with all the edges and corners missing! :rotfl:

Based on temps, and assuming that 11-14 should be lower because taken late, then you could have ov'ed earlier - around CD14. However, that would make your post-o temps potentially very low. It's hard to know where the coverline would be, because of missing and inaccurate temps, but the temps on 18, 20 and 21 are the same as 10. Of course, if there were 2 decimal places, it's possible that CD10 was in fact 35.46 and the later days were 35.54... so not the same at all... :wall:

This timing would fit with your normal cycles, and would give you an interesting dip at around 8dpo.

HOWEVER - that dip also looks like it could be an ovulation dip, especially when seen in conjunction with the EWCM. In this case, you wouldn't be expecting AF for another fortnight. Are you sure about the CM? it's quite easy sometimes to confuse creamy with EW, and creamy is quite usual post-ovulation whereas EW isn't...

If you have had a cold, that can easily delay ovulation by a few days. Sadly, there's no way of telling until AF shows - or doesn't show!

I think your best bet is to keep temping for this cycle, but try to get hold of a BBT before next cycle begins, and make sure you temp at the same time every day. If you want to read more, the Toni Weschler book (there's a sticky at the top of the TTC index) is very useful. It also has pictures of CM - :puke: :rotfl:

I think i need a lie down after all of that! LOL

Have to say the the CM is confusing... Pictures might be EWWW but i think i need them...Now that's soemthing i never thought i'd have to worry about!!

Looking for BBT now....I feel like i'm taking Science GCSE all over again not TTC!!

Morning all  Not been about much recently, I've actually got down to some work :D

OK I know its cheeky but can you look at my chart please - I am not convinced I ov'd when ff says - infact last night definately had ewcm and again a little this morning and just poas and its almost + obviously its going to be a long cycle again!!! But as we have now had the all clear we took advantage of the situation  Having said all that my temps are really odd still and I do sometimes get ewcm just before AF!! I vote for colour coded tummy buttons - red for fertile, blue or pink for pregnant depending on the sex of the baby...... I think that may catch on.... :D

Hmmm, not sure ROM, think you might have to wait and see if your temp shoots up tomorrow?

Im up for the belly buttons - someone must be able to invent some kind of attachment :rotfl: ....although Id go for green for fertile!

Just bought BBT with ovulation kit and early pregnancy tests for just under 9 pounds...Thanks kittykins for suggesting Babymad...Lovely and cheap...Looking forward to next cycle now! LOL

ROM - I'm not convinced by FF either. I can see why it went for the earlier day, but if your temps rise further over the next couple of days, I think the CH will move... looks like it could have been an attempt at ov earlier that didn't quite come off?!

8/9dpo looks a little early to be thinking of AF. Especially if the OPK line is getting stronger...

I would expect your coverline to be around 36.64 this cycle, so if your temps are above that over the weekend, I'd definitely be inclined to go for a later ov date.

oooh, how exciting, we might be testing together

HI all! I feel a bit more human now but totally forgot to temp at the most important time of the month too! Please don't expel me for rubbish charting! On the plus side I've had a lot of EWCM and a + on OV stick so going off my more normal months I think I'm due to OV tomorrow or Sunday.

ROM - i agree with Kitty (queen of charting) i don't think you've OV'd either.
Welshpolly and Chrissy - sorry you're feeling poo too. Let's all feel sorry for ourselves glass of wine and a bar of choc tonight in front of the fire.
Hi hara - once you have all the correct stuff things will be alot easier

Hi Skairdy -   Nice to have a familiar face/name stalking. I nearly put old face but didn't think that'd go down well!!!! :rotfl:

Hope I've not forgotten anyone. I'm off to Petworld to spend a fortune on Bruno. DH took him out this morning and he's made lots of new friends! Might just keep the dog and forget this baby nonsense!

Just wanted to pop on and

Feeling really fed up today and don;t know why!!!!! :(

Hi everyone!

OK - think I am starting to symptom spot.
I can feel twinges down there ( it's not an early AF)
The small of my back is sore (sometimes get this before AF)
I have felt dizzy a few times.
Is it not too early to feel anything? - only 8 dpo.
And I am really tired!! I slept a bit better last night, so expected to feel less tired today... oh well...it's probably nothing.
I fully expect AF to arrive before testing day, sending me into a fresh panic over the length of my luteal phase!! :(

Anyone else got any symptoms?

Kmac - :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: You symptom spot girl......

I've not got anything yet. My bbs were a bit tender last night when I took my bra off but I think of just the weight of the big mamma's being released from their harness that makes them hurt.... :rotfl:

I can't tell if I've got any symptoms because I've got this damn cold type thing that is making me feel like poo so I can't feel anything else.

I want symptoms too.......

Chrissy - Im with you - zilch nowt nada this end so far.
Kmac - SS is precisely what the 2ww is for! Go girl!

Hi there-havent been here for a few days.
Ive decided Im not going to temp, I keep forgetting and just dont want ttc to be the be all and end all of my life so I have started going back to the gym and doing davina at home (hmm that sounded so wrong....)(dvd I meant!!)

Im still going to chart my BD on FF and all the other bits and just hopefully rely on my body's signs

  morning stalkers........ I've had a pants nights sleep last night because my damn poorly throat kept waling me up every time I swallowed!! I've still got no voice at all.......DH thinks it's christmas again!! :rotfl: but it hurts.... :(

Scones - Don't worry if you don't want to temp....it's not everyone's cup of tea. Only defence of it I have is that it does become 2nd nature to do your temp before you get up. I still have an odd day where I find myself sitting on the loo and realising that I forgot to temp  but missing an odd one here and there doesn't make that much difference. Monitoring your CM is probably one of the best fertile indicators you've got anyway.......good luck ttc

Gypsy - Are you feeling any better today??? Sorry you were feeling down yesterday, do you have any idea what it was about yet?? I had some winter blues a couple of weeks ago but I've now booked two holidays and it's cheered me up no end.    for you in the meantime

CB23 - Hope your AF pains have calmed down a little now

KMAC - hope you temp is still up today. Any more symptoms yet???

Lynsey - Your chart looks like you managed to BD at the right times so I'll be keeping my fx for you this month.

choklatmunkey - your temps are rising nicely now......lets hope they stay that way

Hara - Looks like you could have just OV'd.....hope you temps keep in the higher range and you get an answer soon.

Testers - Anyone got any sypmtoms yet??? Apart from Kmac I feel like we're letting the side down by not having a million symptoms :rotfl: :rotfl: NOTE TO SELF: must symptom spot harder in next few days....

    to everyone else. Hope you all have a lovely weekend

Forgot to mention the other day but I had my 3rd Weight watchers weigh in and I've half a stone altogether in 3 weeks..... :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: get me..... I'll be in those size 12 jeans before you know it!

Got to go shopping this morning :( .... I hate it but I've got so much to do that if I don't go soon it will take me a month to get it all done so better bite the bullet and get my shopping shoes on and get on with it.

speak sooon

chrissy-congrats on the weight loss-welldone you!!!! :cheer:

I am relying on my cm and the fact that my cycle is 26 days i have a fairly good indicator of when to bd. oh is on earlies and had to go to bed early last night so I 'put him to bed' and then came back to watch tv last night-so if we are bd every other day then fingers x we might catch the egg sometime soon.

Morning all

Can't be on long - we're off to see the in-laws, no poor weather excuses to delay it any longer!

My temp has dropped a teeny bit today, but it's still in the vague region of where it's been - if that makes sense! Kitty, after your suggestion I just imagine the coverline being a little lower and it looks OK. Hope it stays up!
I'm still twinging and I feel quite grumpy, but that could be anything!!
Have to go, we've got a long drive!

Hope everyone is ok and I'll catch up tomorrow.
xx

Well weirdly enough I didn't need an alarm because I woke up just 20mins later than my alarm normally wakes me up.

I've discsarded my 2st temp because I took it at 2pm and thought it my affect the whole chart. Is that the right thing to do? Also I've just received my new thermometer which has 2 decimal places rather than one which the one I used for this AM's and yesterdays temps. Should I discard those two as well and start a fresh with the proper one tomorrow or not?

Hi guys

Well I'm back. I started charting again this morning and I imagine that I will continue to do so to get a clearer idea of my cycles while we are NTTC :(

I think that my last 2 cycles may actually not have had longer LPs of 14/15 days, but that the Ov dates were wrong (they were ambiguous) and that I Oved even later than first thought (last cycle day 42 :( ) and the LP is only 11 days like the first cycle. It meant that I had no chance last cycle anyway as DH was in hospital. We have had such bad luck with timing lately that he made a joke as I left the hospital that night that he was surprised I wasn't ovulating. And haha hehe, I bloody well was.

Anyway, it's for the best but it is hard coming on here and hearing about what you're all up too. That is selfish I know, but it's just kinda disappointing. I'm not that upset or anything, just a bit down about it all. The good news is I can go back to my weekend vodka tonics on the balcony.

Alright, so don't think I will be around here much. Will check in occasionally to see if any of you have a BFP  and while I selfishly would like to have familiar avatars here when I come back in July or August, I couldn't hope for that for any of you.

Love you lots.

Skairdy, I would discard the 2pm temp, or a least go to the menu on the left hand side of the screen, go to data and then temperature corrector. FF will put an approximate temp in for your temp at 2pm. That may help. I wouldnt discard the other temps, not yet anyway. See how your future temps look with the new thermometer in comparison first. If they are completely different, then Id discard them. :)

 to Sookie.

I completely understand where you're coming from - but July's not very far away. And don't forget to email if you want to meet up when you're over here!

Chances are I'll still be here anyway - we're likely to miss March and April cycles cos of DH's op, and then we have most weekends in June taken up with hen/stag weekends (so separate, obviously!) and I have a couple of week-long conferences in July. So if we don't conceive this cycle, our next chance is likely to be May, then we'd have to be bloody lucky to catch the fertile window in June or July... hence why I'm not going to get too worked up about ttc for a few months!

Skairdy, I'd completely discard the 2pm temp. As Loola says, you can use the temp adjuster - but to be honest, a 2pm temp is going to be so different it's not worth it. The temp corrector works if you oversleep or wake up early, ie you still take temp on first waking, but if you take your temp in the middle of the day, it's clearly going to be lower if you've been walking outside wearing a t-shirt and shorts, and higher if you've been standing next to an oven, cooking a meal... as for the others, leave them in there for now. If they screw up the ovulation detector, discard them then, but it should be early enough in the cycle that those temps won't make much difference anyway.
