Chart Stalkers February 2008

Thanks Kitty  You're a good chart stalker pal. I hope you're not still here in July but would of course be happy for myself if you were :)
I'll be in touch via email re: our trip in June/July.

 To Sookie too, sorry I must have posted my last post just after you and didnt see your post. My heart goes out to you, it must be really difficult for you and I dont think Id be able to come on here myself, but I dont want you to go! Hope July comes round quickly for you.

Thanks Loola   I just don't know that I can put ttc on the shelf. I know that July is not really that far away, but it just seems so silly to have to stop when it's what we both really want and are ready for. DH thinks we should just keep trying and leave after 1st tri if we did conceive. But I find that really daunting. But I do (obviously) want a baby more than I want to be here. I just have a hard time with confrontation, which would involve work, friends and then my family who have planned and paid for their trip here already. DH says it's not a reason to stop ttc if it's what we want, and that everyone else will deal with it or understand...

Im sure your friends and family will be so happy that you are pregnant that they will understand. Perhaps now you can put TTC at the back of your mind a bit whilst you try to sort out moving, new job etc, but dont stop it completely. When were your family planning to visit?

My mum and sister are coming in October for 3 weeks. They have already paid for their tickets. But maybe dates could be changed if I was pregnant.

Im sure they could. Who knows what might be by October. Im sure if you become pregnant and have to move your mum and sister will completely understand.

Morning

How are we all today?

My AF's finally off on her way for another few weeks

When I put my temps in this morning it gave me a circle rather than a dot. Is that because I put sleep deprived down? I woke up at 5AM but thought it was too early to take my temp so just went to the loo, but then it took ages to fall back asleep, so I didn't get the 3hrs sleep it says to get B4 taking temp. Thats why I put sleep deprived. Should I not have done?

 This is so confusing lol.

Yes the open circle does indicate deprived sleep. Thats absolutely fine though! It just makes you remember that it may not be a true temp, so if in the future that temp looks really out of place, or prevents FF from making a coverline you can know that that temp may not be correct.

Loola - I suppose we'll just see what happens. I'm far from being fertile this month anyway so that gives us some time to think about it all.

Skairdy - even if you wake at 5am you should still temp. You can always temp again later. If you get up to go to the loo then can't get back to sleep, it does become your most accurate temp. In those situations you can either leave it as is and FF will put an open circle there to show that it was a different time than usual, or you could use the temperature adjuster.

Right time for some stalking :D

ROM - highest temp so far today plus EWCM! Do you think that you may be ovulating now instead of when FF has predicted? I hope so as you have done some BDing. Hope those temps stay high :cheer:

Kitty - looking good that you ovulated today too!? Hope your BDing has done the trick :cheer:

Chrissy - Fab to see another rise today! Praying this is your month

Chill - Whats happening with you? Are you due to test soon? 17 high temps is a very good sign! Should we be very excited for you?! Do you have any symptoms?

Kmac - nice to see crosshairs on your chart! :cheer: Good luck for testing on Friday!

Lynsey - Your chart is looking great too, good luck for Friday! :cheer:

Choklatemunkey - Good luck to you too

Satch - Where have you gone? Any symptoms?

Hara - good to see ovulation on your chart :cheer: Good luck for this month

Hi to everyone else. Hope AF goes away and stays away for 9 months for anyone shes visiting now. Good luck to everyone at the beginning of their cycles or waiting to ovulate. Im still feeling very positive, and even more excited now due to the greatness of pre-seed! :cheer:

I do wonder whether in fact I have now had a nervous breakdown and my non-stop joy is just a sign of madness :rotfl: Being happy is so unlike me, my OH had never seen me smile before!

Thanks Loola...and i bow down to kittykin who got it absolutly right about ovulation..although i could have sworn blind i was due this coming sunday!!

A little gutted ass we didn't bd for about a week as hubbie wasn't having the best time with MS. To put things in perspective tho...I'd rather he got better then have clinical unfeeling bd for the sake of ttc. Would not feel good about that, and it's also about enjoying the experinace,

oh well...here's to having more fun trying!!

hi all,

this is a quick one from me cos DH is shouting at me to hurry up...

Hara, I had a quick look at your chart, and the temps for the past couple of days seem very low. I can't remember - were your pre-ov temps all taken at the same time? I've seen so many discussions of charting in the past few days I can't remember who's done what and when! And have you switched thermometers or are you still using the same one? The last temp seems to be a 2 dec place one. Different thermometers can come up with different ranges, enough to make your chart look confusing. However, it does look like you ovulated, it's just that I would expect those temps to be a bit higher...

Sookie - personally, I believe in fate. I'd carry on ttcing anyway, and assume that whatever's meant to be, will happen! I know you've now got close experience of Columbian hospitals which has put you off, but chances are you wouldn't need to go in one before returning to Australia anyway. If you did conceive, I would bet your mother and sister would be so thrilled they'd want you home asap - and who knows, they might be able to change their tickets to come and fetch you earlier, and have a holiday into the bargain...

ok, gotta go or I might be getting divorced, not pregnant!

:

All temps were taken about the same times, apart from the ones in circles not dots, I woke up late for those.

I haven't switched thermometers, but because i woke up early i used the rough calculator that Loola pointed out to me on Fertility friend to calculate the temp with the 2 decimal places...I'm waiting for my thermometer to come.

It certainly does look like i've ovulated, but i'm a bit confused as i thought i would AF this sunday. I guess it might be because i'm thinking about it? A watched pot and all that...Either that or i've really buggered up the chart for this cycle...

Soz I haven't been stalking charts. I don't seem to be having much luck interpreting them, my own is driving me mad atm :wall: :wall:

Can't work out whether I ov'd on the 16th (in which case I'm poss pG now, but have cramps and spotting so v. prob not) or the 23rd which seems more likely now. Although I had no other signs of ov'ing around then. Even went for a smear on 22nd and cervix was well in hiding, they thought I was post ov. (Sorry TMI  )

Anyways I am fairly certain that AF is on way, so didn't test today. I have only one left so don't want to waste it.

Still at least I can have a few drinks on val day and not be ovulating when the folks visit at the weekend. Have got some ov sticks in, that egg is not getting away so easily next time !

Will be rooting for you all on the 15th :cheer: :cheer: [edit: and obviously before and after too!!]

Hi everyone

Sookie   I also believe in fate. I think if you just let things happen they should work out for the best. Good luck anyway.

I'm a bit confused with my temps - last 2 mornings I woke up about an hour early, so took my temps and they were low (below my coverline). Both times I have gone back to sleep (for about 3 hours - as I didn't have to get up) and my temps are nicely above my coverline. These are the ones I have charted - if I chart the lower ones ff takes my lines away!! Is that the right thing to do?
I don't want to be told I didn't ovulate now :(
I'm still having twinges but no other signs of AF.

morning!

Hara - hmmmmmm, thing is I really would expect your temps post-ov to be above 36.8ish - there are so many pre-ov temps above the coverline... always difficult to tell on the first cycle though, especially if you didn't start temping on CD1 and you don't have a BBT. I wouldn't put too much faith in this month's chart, just keep temping and see what happens. If you can start temping with a BBT on CD1 of the next cycle, though, that would be good.

Chill, you're not going to like this very much, but I think you probably ov'ed around CD23  . It looks to me like you probably geared up for ovulation around CD14, but it didn't quite happen. What detector are you using? what happens if you switch detection modes? Are you using OPKs at all?

kmac - your temps would be nicely above the coverline if taken 2 hours later than they should have been! Even my pre-ov temps would be high if I took them at 8am instead of 6am. What were the early temps? If you didn't ovulate, it's better to know. Personally, I'd use the temps an hour early. Don't worry about FF and crosshairs. You could try the temp corrector, see what temps it gives you for normal waking time, and possibly use those. Otherwise you can try other detection modes (research might well give you crosshairs with the lower temps when advanced doesn't) and if all else fails, and it seems clear that you did ovulate then do a manual override. Personally, I'd do a manual override on CD11 at 97.1. If the temps are below this, I'd be inclined to think that perhaps ovulation hasn't occurred - if above, then I'd be happy with that coverline. The low discarded temp on CD16 and the open circles don't help. The post-ov temps are quite low (view your chart in celsius and you'll see what I mean) but I do think that there is a second slightly higher range of temps.

Kittykins, I'm glad i'm baffling you a bit. LOL..

I've got the new thermometer on it's way to me and with ovulation kit. I guess we'll only know when AF comes. I think it's probably me just wanting and hoping and my body going...you want it...you can't have it! LOL

Thanks for your input

morning all.....

:puke: :puke: is all I have to say about me at the minute!!! I've been poorly all weekend, my voice hasn't come back properly I've got a really bad chest and I'm wheezing like a 90 year old life long smoker everytime I breathe in. Worst of it is....I've never had a cigarette in my life!!! I've been the docs this morning and I've got bronchitis  I've been ordered to have rest, plenty of fluids and keep warm. If it gets worse I might have to go to the hospital to be put on Oxygen....

My post ov temps look like a mountain range because I'm hardly gtting any sleep so they are being taken at all hours of the night. I'm spending the day in my jammies with the spare duvet on the sofa having a Jack Bauer marathon and watching series 1 of 24 agian..... apart from this little break to pop on here and say hi of course :D

Sorry I feel to poorly to stalk any charts, but I will catch up again as soon as I'm recovered

Testers - not long to go now.... still no symptoms for me but the illness seems to be taking over slightly. What about all you..... anything happening yet???

Anyway....gotta get back to the sofa, Jack is about to save the world with a paper clip, a biro and a bit of kitchen roll......... he's so tough.. :rotfl:

speak soon
c
xx

Oh dear Chrissy - I know you said you were flu-ey but bloody hell sounds like you are having a horrid time of it at the moment...I hope you get better without having to go to hosp!

Enjoy Jack Bauer and his world saving escapades....!

Hi Kittykins thanx so much for taking a look at my chart. I think the problem is that I discarded 2 temps that I took late on in the day on CD 11 and 12. When I add them back in FF shows ov on day 23. I'm pretty sure that's the case. I have sneaky eggs, keep missing them :)

Next month I am going to use OPKs

Hope you caught yours!
