Chart Stalkers February 2008

Hi ladies,

just got back from the consultant and she doesnt want to see me for 3 months now - had my scan and its all gone. So its all system ahead for next month if we want :D Dave says that we need to be more relaxed about it (no chance of that)!!!!

Anyway I will catch up with all your charts later but I thought I would let you know I'm back to normal.... :D

Oh yes and I think my testing date would be 14th feb but really no reason to test this month - hmmmmm bet I still do :rotfl: :rotfl:

ROM thats great news! :cheer:
Oh and....
Just POAS with the rest of us anyway - you know you want to :D ....it could even be a fake stick if you want so it doesnt cost you any money! Just cut out a small bit of card off a breakfast box or something and draw some lines on it :rotfl:

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: that's great news ROM.

I am NOT testing until AF is due. This is to make up for last month when I over tested due to my Cherri22 prediction......... :shakehead:

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: Yay ROM that's such great news.......all sytems GO now then

Gypsy..what day are you due?? We could hold of testing for another day if you want to join in the joint test

My AF isn;t due until 25th I think.
My chart makes no sense this month. My chart says I haven't OV but i have had OV pains so not sure what's going on so please, don't wait for me.

Hi all

I'm up for testing on the 15th if AF doesn't get me first.
Although I can't help hoping we did the deed at just the right time.. But absolutely no symptoms apart from tiredness, but that's from my restless nights!

Thanks for all your advice, especially you Kitty - it calmed me down a bit before i went to work! I have been talking to one of my friends about my charting ways. She is threatening to come and confiscate my thermometer

I am so tired now I hope tonight I get a proper sleep and get a higher temp in the morning. The plan is to stuff myself with pancakes then hopefully doze off!

Here's to a good night's sleep, I know I could do with one as well.
I had a race (running) on Sunday and every since I have felt like my legs are going to cramp up, apparently it is because of all the lactet and axti oxidents in my muscles........... bloody awful.
Not even BD took it away.... :rotfl:

ROM that's great news, good luck :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

AF is on her way, spotting this evening.

Oh meh, I am sorry to hear that CB. Good luck for next month hun.

ROM - that is excellent news! So glad you can start getting back on track. Good luck for next month.

Chrissy, Kmac, Choklatemunkey and Satch, HUGE amounts of luck in your 2WW's and for your testing day! As you are all testing, I should be ovulating.
:cheer:

Trudy - congrats on getting a pooch! :cheer:

Sookie - sorry you may have to stop TTC for a while

Hope everyone is ok and happy :D Sorry I havent been around much lately, its part of my 'trying to put TTC at the back of my mind'. It has been working at the moment to an extent, but then AF is still here so it would as I havent got any BDing to do and Im not waiting to test. Hopefully the month of lots and lots of BDing will commence tomorrow or as soon as AF has buggered off!

hey all,

 to CB23

 to Trudy and hope your cold gets better - by the way, your 'weird period' sounds really similar to my weird last one!

Sookie - you can have a  too! If you do give up TTC for a little while, it's probably still worth charting - if you can bear it - just to make things easier when you start TTCing again?

kmac - glad to be of use! but don't panic at all. The other thing to remember is that the range of temps that the FF chart shows stretches during your cycle - so if you start with, say a temp of 36.1, the chart shows a range of 35.9 to 36.2, but the boxes are really tall. Once you ovulate and your temps move into a higher range, you suddenly find that the scale changes, and the temps on the y axix range from 35.9 to 37.0, in the same space. Oh, and if you measure in fahrenheit, the charts look very different from celsius so don't compare two charts in different measurements.

gypsy - what race did you do? I'm trying to plan this year's racing schedule at the moment, having decided to proceed on the basis that I won't be pregnant! Get yourself some Badger Balm (sore muscle rub) - it does what it says on the tin! Failing that, the Weleda arnica cream's good too. But tbh, the best thing for post-race muscles is - you got it - a slow run of half the race distance two days later. So if it was a 10k, you should do 3 miles, if a half-marathon, 6 miles. It works everytime. (Except if it was a mara, I wouldn't want to run a half 2 days later - I think different rules apply for silly distances! But then, every time I try running more than 15 miles at a time, I injure myself, so I'm no expert on maras!)

Talking of races, I noticed there was a distinct lack of take-up on my suggestion that we all do the London-Brighton cycle ride... only one of you sounded remotely keen. Pah!

ROM - fab news! Guess you'd better start practising then

 to everyone else and good luck to those in the 2ww.

I'm knackered, going to bed now  pathetic, isn't it?

Oh, and it being Ash Wednesday tomorrow - I'm giving up alcohol and caffeine for Lent. And yes, that includes the caffeine in chocolate. Is anyone joining me in abstinence? I'd better go and stuff the last of the choccy in my mouth now, to remove the temptation later this week!

welcome to welshpolly!

also to eveadel who's joining us - just waiting for the link so that I can add it to the front page.

It was an off road 6km for breast cancer.
I have a 10k in 5 weeks, a half marathon april and a marathin september.
I used to do triathlon and have done 3 Ironman triathlons if that means anything to you..........

legs feel better today. I am off for a run later.

Morning ladies

Hope you are all well...

Kitty and Gypsy... all that talk of excersize makes me feel tired just reading it!! Sorry I can't do the bike ride but I'm in Stoke and travelling all that way just to ride my bike even further just doesn't make sense.

Gypsy..... I don't think I could persuade us all to hold out until 25th even if I wanted to :rotfl: so I think we'll stick to the original test date and we'll be egging you on when it's time for your tests

Testers.... Looks like our testing date will be 15th then, everyone seem happy enough with that. Let's hope AF stays away from us all until then. Any of you have any symptoms yet?? I've not got any at all.....no matter how hard I look!!

Nothing much to report with me, I've got my CD21 day blood test at the docs today and I'm going to chase up my DH's sperm test while I'm there because I've still not heard anything about it

Oh, by the way.... when I logged into FF this morning it said I'd got a new private message?? When I opened it it said it was friend request so I opened the mail but there was no message to explain who this person was who was asking to be my friend or why they wanted to do it!! I ignored it.. Have any of you had this before??

Chrissy,
it was me. I just added your chart as a friends chart but you have to agree to it...... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Gonna do it again, you can ignore me again if you like.....

 OMG! I am speechless at the energy you must have!

 CB23

Loola - so you could join in our mass POAS - although yours would have to be an ov stick (but I think you might have said you werent going to do them)....oh well - thanks for the good luck wishes!

Chrissy and Kmac - me either - no symptoms at all! U looking forward to testing though? (Chrissy - hope the test goes ok later)

Kitty - Well done you giving up alcohol and caffeine :cheer: Im just not strong enough though with regard to chocolate  although Ive been craving white choc lately which I used to hate - but it has no caffeine! :cheer:

Welcome to the newbies Welshpolly and Eveadel! Woohoo more recruits!

:rotfl: at Chrissy ignoring Gypsy! Though if you haven't entered a username on FF, I think it comes up with the url instead, which is quite confusing - I accidentally rejected a couple of friend requests on there cos I didn't know who they were from...

Gypsy - which Ironman tris have you done? you clearly don't need my recommendations for Badger Balm then! :rotfl: (though I still reckon it's the best thing... I'm just addicted to the smell!) Are you affiliated to a club, or do you go it alone? A lot of my friends do IMs, but I couldn't even do a maratho. Every time I try training for one, I get to 15 or so miles and my knees get screwed up - I've had arthritis since I was a kid, and spent years on painkiller/steroid concoctions. I'm fine with 10m and half-maras though, so got into triathlon simply to extend the challenge without landing myself in hospital again each time - and because the rheumatologist at the hospital refused to treat me again if I continued running :( . Oh, and because I'm the world's slowest runner, but a decent cyclist and swimmer... :rotfl:

Which races are you doing this year then? I'm probably going to do the White Horse 1/2 in April, as I've done it before and it's a beautiful course, then do a couple of sprint tris over the summer. Until I had a heart seizure, I used to do the New Forest 1/2 and Thanet 1/2 in September and then Amsterdam 1/2 in October, so I might just do those again, but I was wondering about the Vitruvian tri in Sept instead - have you done it, and if so what do you think? The problem is I really hope to be pregnant by then... and I don't want to stump up £95 or whatever for the entry fee, plus accommodation, only to not be able to do it... but then sod's law dictates that if I don't enter, I won't be pg anyway!

aaaargh, it's back to the thread (was it Loola's?) on 'what have you put on hold?'... don't you all think the most frustrating part of TTC is the not knowing? If you knew you'd conceive in, say, August, you'd get on with your life till then... men get it so easy... rant rant rant

Which races are you doing this year then? I'm

I have done Longest day triathlon (Ironman distance, not official) twice and Austria Ironman in 2003 which is where the twins came from!!!!!
I have fradley 10k and stratford 1/2 booked. Then I shall do wolverhampton marathon.
I used to belong to a club but now I go it alone.
I am a good swimmer, crap cyclist and a very slow runner..........
Only managed to break the hour once for a 10K!!!!!!!!!

sorry folks back to TTC................
Can someone look at my chart and make any sense of it please!!!!!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all ok.

I shall do some stalking later :D

Yesterday I had a gas engineer round to service the applicances in our house. This is done yearly, by law. We found out that our gas fire in our front room has been pumping out carbon monoxide for god knows how long so that has been condemned. :( We dont have central heating in out house so that was our only form of heat downstairs. Thankfully we have 2 electric heaters so its not too cold. The thing Im most worried about is how long the carbon monoxide has been escaping for! It certainly explains some of my pregnancy symptoms, nausea and tiredness, and also some of the depression and temper problems that me and my OH have had. Also we have both had fevers, so that certainly does explain that too. Does anyone know once the problem is resolved is the poison still in your system for a while or do you recover straight away? Its a good job I didnt get pregnant earlier really as it could have caused serious complications with the foetus and miscarriage. Its such a scary thought! I look forward to having a new fire put in, and my Landlady must get us a carbon monoxide detector!

Hello all. I'm feeling a bit better thanks dying to get back to normal life. Pick up Bruno today!!! :cheer: Don't work Thurs so if I feel up to it a long walk/drag tomorrow.

Welshpolly & eveadel welcome to chart world
ROM - great news. Get BDing girl!!!
kmac - hope you get some sleep soon. It's a vicious cycle isn't it? Worrying about not sleeping then not sleeping because you're worried. Hope you find the solution soon.
Gypsy - How do you fit all of that training in with 3 boys? I've no excuse now.
Kitty - I hate cycling sorry. I'll ask DH he loves it. Can he be an honorary Chart Stalker. Don't like his chances of falling pg!!! Your last cycle was scarily like mine. Can you fall pg on this one so I can copy you again!
CB - sorry she's on her way. ....but it ain't over til it's over
Chrissy - i'm not due til the 25th ish either. I'll still POAS of some kind to feel united with you all!!!
Loola  thats terrible. I hope you both start to feel better soon. I thought rented properties had to have a detector by law?

Erm.... hope that's everyone. FX to anyone in the 2ww.

I have to find some energy to BD tonight as it's getting near the big O. Lord knows I don't feel like it. I guess I can just lay there and think of my ironing pile!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

gypsy - a runner after my own heart! Actually I think that's the problem with marathon training for me - it's not the distance, it's the fact that I take so long to cover the miles that buggers up my knees :rotfl: I usually do around 55 mins for a 10k, and between 2:00 and 2:05 for a half - I'm desperate to break that 2hr barrier... but really embarrassingly, I've only done sub-30 for a 5k twice, both at the end of a sprint tri  now, what I need to find is a bike-swim-bike event... But like Trudy, I was wondering how on earth you fit the training in - none of my friends who do tri have kids (in fact, very few of them are in relationships  )

Trudy - time for a red-hot chilli curry, I think! Hope you get better quickly - and woohoo, glad you've got your dog now! (I want one... DH won't let me  ) What is he?

loola - that's so frightening! Your landlady had better get you some heating quickly too! You can buy carbon monoxide detectors relatively cheaply in B&Q and places like that - we have one by our gas fire, because I'm paranoid - so if your landlady dithers, send her that way immediately or get one yourself and invoice her! My brother had a similar experience when he was a student - he and his flatmates got a month's rent knocked off by way of compensation. They were at law college though, so I think they did a bit of threatening  - but definitely worth pushing for, as you've been feeling sick, tired, etc. And I think you should go to the doctor's immediately - s/he may be able to give you a note certifiying that those are symptoms of CO poisoning, which you can then wave in your landlady's face. I don't know how long it stays in the body (sth else to ask your doctor?) but my brother felt much better within a couple of days of the problem being sorted, so I'd guess not too long?

off to look at Gypsy's chart now...
