lots and lots of good luck for today! can't wait to see your thread. wishing you a quick, smooth sailing induction!

For those not on Facebook, I had my baby yesterday. My waters broke at 5:15 and then he was here by 8:29. Itwas so quick I didn't have time for a water birth or the epidural I screened for three times.
I had just gas and air and can't believe how quick it was. He wifhed 10lb 10oz and because I was on just gas and air I could go with what my body naturally wanted and only got a small graze. I felt amazing afterwards compared to my other two with epidural. I feel so proud.

We have been kept in and moved to transitional care because he is so big and his sugars are low he's not feeding from me enough. I feel so sad, my boobs hurt but I don't want to give in and bottle feed.
I struggle with anxiety sleeping in different places I know that's daft for a grown woman and now he's not feeding my milk just isn't coming through Abbs he's so big he needs it

massive congratulations mummy bear! wow, great weight and fast labour!

hope you are both home soon, i am sure the team will do all they can to get him feeding from you. rest well, hope the anxiety is not too bad!

I am literally about to slap my husband!

He is off today and is moping around the house. He keeps asking, and by keeps I have counted 6 times since he got up (at about 11am!), if I am going to have our baby today.... I DON'T KNOW!

I am getting harassed by well meaning friends and family asking if I have any good news yet. Then he starts asking if I am in labour yet, am I going to have him today etc.

I will go freaking crazy in a moment. I am getting contractions very irregularly and feel very full down there. Other than that, nothing to suggest an imminent birth.

I just said to him if he asks me one more damn time I will be filing for divorce (joking obviously) and he said that I was being mean. I said how does he think it makes me feel when he keeps asking me. I feel like a watched pot. He said he is just anxious.... he is! What about me! I have just served lunch, washed up and done laundry.....

Grr sorry rant over, just have to get it out sometimes!

bless you sax.
nothing more frustrating that people asking 'have you had the baby yet?', 'any signs?' etc! if you had, or there was, anyone who needed to, would know! it just makes you more frustrated doesn't it? your OH is silly, lol. 'yes darling, baby will arrive approx 7pm this evening, make sure you're ready!'.. d'oh.

hope you're not too wound up!

Sax- it is highly frustrating! Having been 2 weeks overdue twice I seriously get just how difficult it is being asked all the time by everyone about baby coming! Try to just cocoon yourself away hun and sit tight- it will all b over soon *hugs* xx

Just locked myself in the bathroom for 30 mins. Had a lovely bubble bath and now have intense tightening in the very front of bump. Not telling him though!

I am going to have a nap and see what happens. Had a good carby lunch so should have lots of energy if I need it.

I am not even over due! I wouldn't be so snipey if I was 2 weeks over due! My EDD is Thursday.

And now the phone is ringing! Grr, leave me alone people! Lol!

It's my mother that does my head in!!! Every hour she texts me asking me if I'm alright. Argh!!!!!!!

Glad u had a nice bath :-) I got the texts and phone calls etc from early on first time round! Its not fair to have a few days of it let alone weeks! Keeping my due date from people this time did help but still kept getting asked 'how r things?' 'How r u feeling' Its tough going coz u do get fed up of responding to everyone!...... Really hope the tightening come to something this time :-)

My mother in law was getting like this towards the end! Its hard not to be rude! I just can't believe people think they wouldn't know if something had changed/ happened!! .....Hope u r hanging in there hun and bubs comes v soon xx

Hello, hope everyone is well? Just a quick question Orla has now decided that she will only sleep on her side (she is 5 days old!!!!) I know that 'regulations' suggest we should only put them on their backs but what are people's thoughts about side sleeping??? Should I roll cellular blankets and prop her in or try to encourage her to go on her back?!
Cheers x x

Camilla- u can get positioning things for them sleeping to stop them rolling......have a google! Personally I would worry too much if they weren't on their back at such a young age but that's only me- I'm sure other ladies let babies sleep in other positions! When I was a baby we were put to sleep on our tummy's! X

Hi all.

Congrats mummybear, super quick arrival and fab weight.

Sax - hope bubs arrives soon, annoying all the "is baby coming" queries!

Camilla, Ethan moves to his side too, but I roll him back to his back. Only time I let him sleep on his side is when he comes into my bed in morn when I'm awake.

For anyone not on the Facebook group I'm thinking I will start an 'August mummies' thread in baby and toddler- be lovely to continue to share the journey and help each other out as our little ones grow xx

**thread now up and running in baby and toddler section**
