The heartbeat is distinctive either as horse galloping, chug chug of a train, or a combination of both. Wooshes and glugs tend to be placenta or other things. The blip blips are baby moving.

Wow leesey. That bump is ammmmaziing. Well jel. I just look a porker ha.

Inkfairy. Your mum sounda amazing!!. Bless her been so excited. Oooh i cant decide wether to find out gender. Last time i knew i wanted to know. But now im not sure

lanny dont blame you for not going to college!! Does not sound fun :)

hope.everyone else is okay. . .

Im desperate for me tea. Im eating way too much today haaa xxx

The obstetrician tried to hear heartbeat last Friday at 14 + 6 with Doppler thing, he just about got it then lost it again so did a scan, maybe it varies woman to woman (I have a spare tyre too!), I am hoping at my next mw appt at 17 + 4 she will be able to hear it. I have considered getting a doppler but I am a bit obsessive compulsive so have decided not to...for now!

My mum has been amazing. She's helping loads which is great. Even though she's in Scotland and I'm in wales. Not sure if it's not sunk in for my oh yet but he doesn't want to shop or get excited about stuff so it's great that she does!

Heartbeat sounds like a train but not very fast. Will have another poke about later :) running out of gel though as you only get a tiny tube. Anything else I can use that's just as good but without waiting for the proper stuff to come?

Hope everyone is well! Less stormy today it seems.

Inkfairy, aloe Vera gel (after sun type stuff) or lube ;) seems to work just as well!!

I improvise with all sorts, vaseline, bepanthen, moisturiser, just try it! xx

Perfect bump Leesey!

My ultrasound gel has ran out too, will have to see if we've got any lube lying around lol. I listen in every other day to check up on baby. Think I'd send myself a bit crazy if I didn't get the reassurance of hearing it every couple of days! :)

I found a faster train in my belly!

And thanks for the gel tips. I think we have a couple of those lying around :)

Happy valentines ladies!!

Just had my 2nd CMV test - fingers crossed all comes back fine & I can put this whole thing behind me & we can start enjoying the pregnancy again!

Ladies, after your nuchal scan/downs screening tests did you get your results thru the post or did they get sent to your midwife? X

Thanks happy! Good luck for those second results!..... I got my screening result in the post straight to my house xxx

Hello,

Nice to read everyone is well and things are good for some many of us!! All same here still sick most days but I've just accepted that's how it's going to be!!
Question: I've developed 2 2 pence size patches of dry skin around my mouth, I've always had quite dry skin but my usual Liz Earl moisturiser doesn't seem to be doing the trick..... Does anyone have any suggestions of a good moisturiser??? I don't minding spending extra on it so all suggestions welcome. I can't have anything overly perfumed though. Thanks in advance ladies x x x x

Hi Camilla- might sound like an odd suggestion but there is something called 'oilatum' that is for babies/children for dry skin and mild exczema.....it does wonders for dry skin if u feel like giving it a go?? Handy to have around with a little one too! U can just get it at the supermarket xxx

Thanks I'll give it a go..... Its starting to get itchy and red now which is not a good look I can assure you x x x

Well providing I don't get a late delivery, I am due 29th July....chances are ill be late...can u add me sweet xx

Hey everyone.

Inkfairy. Glad your still hunting with your doppler! My hubby was the same. Didnt get excited until i was huge. But now our lives are so baby / family related its not so odd to be shopping in the baby section lol.

I was gonna suggest oilatum. Its about £7 i think for a massive tub. I use it on my daughters exczema and its pretty fab. Doesnt smell amazing tho.
Good call mum2b :)

how are you and little bean xx

Thanks lottielou!
I'm a little better thanks. No more bleeding but a bit cramping this morning but its passed and bubs has been wriggling. Trying v hard not to worry about it all!

Of course Emma- we have a little end of July gang in here! I will add u in xxx
