******August 2014 mummies******

Take her to gp to check her BP or call maternity assessment and see what they recommend Hun x

Keeptrying- I don't have an anterior placenta but I don't think there was a proper pattern to my movements until about 22-23 weeks (and I'd been feeling them since 13 weeks!) Pattern still changes from time to time! I don't think u have anything to worry about but maybe one of the girls with an anterior placenta could comment??....... Not up to much this weekend, just family time and odds and sods around the house that need doing! Nothing exciting I'm afraid! U??

Alanc- your poor Mrs! Hope she is ok?? Drop in bp and blood sugar can cause fainting! I would get her checked out just to b sure but it us quite common in pregnancy! Glad u had a lovely honeymoon x

Lovely blog lianne! Despite the work stuff I'm glad youve had a nice week otherwise xx

Thanks for advice, she seems fine now and she has fainted previously a few times when not pregnant. She is going to take it easy till Tuesday then go see doctor, she has a midwife appointment on Thursday as well so can bring it up there.

She was sitting down when it happened, I saw it happen the first time and brought her round then it happened again worse whilst I was taking to her a minute later. Ice water, ice pack and chocolate seemed to make her better. Baby has been kicking and moving constantly so everything seems ok there.

Must have been scary for u! Def get her to rest up and c someone next week! Xx

Hi mrsm! I'm ok- just my usual whinges!! Achy, tired, feel huge and generally a bit fed up! Lol! Its weird being in the last tri but yet still feeling there is ages to go! Guess its coz I went so far overdue last time- it made it the longest tri of them all!!

How r u?? Been up to much? Xx

Hello lovelies :) so I survived work - always an achievement lol everyone is being so lovely with bump
and I am really bonding with the women I have been looking after since my pregnancy has become more pronounced . Today I sat with this lovely lady in labour and we were both feeling quite hot and were both sucking on ice cubes lol

Hubby is finally ok, he still had quite puffy eyes when I came home tonight but seems to be all down now ! Very scary indeed, when he couldn't breath properly etc. images of loosing him and being a single mum to this baby and the other children really shook me. So glad he is ok. Thanks for asking mum2b and Keeptrying :)

Mum2b, why don't tell me what type of nappies you have, I am sure I can tell you about the different type of nappies there are and would be so happy to point you in the right direction on how to use them etc if you want.

Keeptrying , I haven't had an anterior placenta myself either so can't talk from personal experience, my little girl is very active but I can't tell you whether we have a pattern or not, I am always so busy with life I don't notice a set pattern, I just get reassured when she moves and if I haven't felt her for a bit I stop, having to drink and she usually starts moving so I just go back to busy life again. Don't know if this helps but as mum2b said maybe the girls with anterior placenta in here could help you a bit more ?

Alan, very common to feel faint and if resolved with food/drink change in temperature I wouldn't worry about it too much to be honest, her midwife will her some advice on Thirsday I am sure !

Xxxx

That would b great mummy_midwife- thank u! I will get the bag out and see if I can tell u the brands or at least describe them! Think I worked out how to do one up the other day and I think there is a roll of liners too but still I feel a bit clueless!!!
Glad u survived work and hubby ok! I have awful fears of losing my OH at times and how I would never cope as a single parent- its terrifying!!
Great u survived work! I'm sure the ladies r really connecting with u knowing u r going through it all as well!.... How many weeks til mat leave now??

Bless my OH- Ethan woke up at 6am today and he has got up with him and let me lie in! Just woke and feel much better for it! :-)

I'm good, not really done much apart from tidy the house and get ready for my hols. Can't wait to go now, just need a break. Keep falling asleep on the sofa at half 8 every night :-/ whoops!

Morning ladies, hope everyone doing ok today :).

Today is my last day in Tri 2 - that feels very scarey just writing it down lol.
Not been up too much this bank holiday weekend, just sorting crap out that we seem to of accumulated and that's before I move all my stuff in from my mums - clothes shoes etc ha ha.
Ante natal classes start tomorrow and Thursday is my last day at college :-/ - eeek.

We're debating taking my maternity leave in 4 weeks time. After my 4 weeks sick is up. I just can't face going back or having my employers on my back. It's not an easy decision to make. But we think it's the best thing to do.

It means when I call my employers tomoro & break the news that I've been signed off for 4 weeks with work related stress, I also need to give notice that I want to take my maternity leave earlier (as it's 28days notice)

It means I'll only be 29/30 weeks. It's not ideal or what we wanted, but we'll make it work.

What do you think ladies? X

Hi girls

Glad OH is alright now mummymidwife, must have been so scary for you all
We had a real scare over the weekend with OH having a considerable amount of bright red blood in his stools. Will get him to GP on Tue but pretty now certain it's a fissure (sp?) so that's a bit of a relief, nothing like that has ever happened before.
How lovely of your OH getting up with Ethan this morning mum2b and giving you a long lie- gold star for him :)
Exciting for you moving over to Tri3 Lanny, I'm still a fortnight away! Don't remember being this anxious to come into Tri2..

Happy I think it's definitely an individual thing. I too had planned on working considerably later than I now intend to.. However depending on your company's policy you may be financially better off staying sick for as long as they will allow (I'm not but know a friend who is) main thing is your taking care of yourself and your baby hun. Hugs xx

I think this is what is right for you and baby. If they can't accommodate you in your current condition then it's worth taking the other options

Mrsm- sounds like u definitely need your holiday!! Lovely to have that to look forward to! Can't wait for mine :-)

Lanny- last day in tri2!! Tri 3 is v quiet on our thread so it will b good to get a few more numbers over there soon! Enjoy your antenatal classes :-)

Happy- I think it really sounds like the right thing for u hun! No its not the ideal but at the end if the day u and baby come first! At the other end of your mat leave I assume u will b going back to your original work place and things will b better again! I went at 34 weeks last time- managed to b off until Ethan was 10 and half months because of accrued a/l etc! I'm sure it will work out for the best! Once u have told them u can just forget about it and focus on preparing for baby and relaxing as much as u can!

Weezy- my OH is great like this at weekends! I'm v lucky! Means I really get to catch up on what I've missed in the week!...... I did all the night feeds with Ethan until he slept through at 7 and a half months- so I although I feel guilty sometimes for my lie ins I kinda feel its my turn for more sleep! Lol!
Scary about OH but it may well be a fissure or internal piles or a polyp or something! I know fresh red blood looks awful but I think its less of a concern that old blood! Hope he gets on ok at drs xxx

I don't get paid sick pay, it's statutory, so I don't think it would benefit me staying on the sick. X

Hello :)

Mum2b I will be more than happy to go through them with you, probably easier if you take a pic ? As I said I love fluffy nappies ! 7 and a bit weeks to mat leave but to be honest I am ready to go on mat leave now.

How lovely of your OH to get up early today and let you sleep in, Brilliant you got to sleep in! My DH got up early every single morning for about 3 years and would let me sleep in til he went to work, I used to feel guilty but then I would get up for night feeds and have the kids the whole day so only fair he did the early bird sessions :)

Weezy, yes it was scary , bet you are very scared too with what has happened to your OH???? I would be too but hopefully the GP tomorrow can check him over and reassure you both. And I agree with mum2b, old blood is usually more of a concern.

Today I am feeling knackered, managed to do the bare essential round the house and have collapsed on the couch, kids keep saying they are bored but I am just ignoring it , I don't have the energy to go out so will just stay where I am... Horrible mummy but this weekend has been too full on and it has caught up with me now.

Hope everyone is having a good day xxz

Thanks hun- I will get them out and take a pic!
Don't feel bad- u aren't a horrible mummy! U need a break and there's been a lot on this weekend! Xx
