Bless you - sounds nasty! How are they treating it?? Do you need to take anti-biotics?

I used a combination of tea tree and lavender oil mixed with milk to clean my C-Sect twice daily - and have been lucky not to have any problems...but I do hear infections are quite common?

Hope you manage to get it sorted out really quickly xx

Sat with windows open trying to cool Eliza poor little lady has temperature :(

Poor Eliza is really going through it isn't she! Xx

Heya, docs went well and discussed different methods to help bond and stuff and then we went first time shopping and then over a friends for a cuppa which made me feel so good just getting out and about any way. She was as good as gold. Then we came home and I sat her in her bouncer and was stimulating her senses with Lamaze toys and she done some little smiles with the soft bits rubbing on her skin....I dunno if it was wind though but made me so happy and been cuddling her and feeding her and doing some skin to skin and then she threw up on me lol. But feeling real positive that there's some light :D
Awww shell that's not good! Hope it's not a bad infection and clears with some antibiotics. Xxx

Tapatalking so I can't see sigs x

Babies had their weigh in this morning, and they now weigh 6.1lb and 6.7lb, which is a great increase from birth weight of 5lb and 5.7lb! Yippee!
Doctors have also given me he details of another twin mummy locally who speaks english and wants to make contact :) The nurse has also offered to accompany me to the breastfeeding class next week, for translation purposes, and apparently there are 3 english mums there! I am so excited, lol, i am starting to feel a bit isolated so this is great news for me :) :)

Awesome weight gain! And great news about the other twin mum and bf class! I can imagine it must be hard not speaking the native language so I imagine it's really cheered you up knowing there will be 3 English ladies there. I hope you make some friends there, it'll be great for the twinnies as well xxx

Awww, lovely! Naked time doesn't happy much for us unfortunately as J doesn't like to be naked unless he in the bath! We also had a couple of mucky incidents when I stripped him off lol :-) Not sure how to get round that...

Had a meeting with the HV yesterday - J now weighs 10lbs 6oz! She commented that he was ridiculously long for his age too! (Daddy is 6ft 4ins though.) Although he is following his birth line centile, he has apparently put on too much weight for his age and I have been told to cut his milk to 3oz per serving...he doesn't like it at all and now wants to feed more often and isn't sleeping properly. Last night was awful - he woke up pretty much every 2 hours and because he wasn't fulfilled with the amount of milk, wouldn't go back down very easily...shattered today - was supposed to be going out later, but I quite frankly don't have the energy now :-(

I think he went through a growth spurt last week and on a few days, he did have more milk than usual - but he went back to "normal" soon after - but this could be where the extra weight came from?!?

Do I ignore the HV and go back to 4oz during the day and 1 or 2 x 5oz at night...??

I've got pampers throw away changing mats that I chuck on the floor to avoid my new carpets :)

Yes ignore the silly cow! If he's hungry then he needs to drink as much as he wants until he is contented. Everyone's appetite is different and it sounds like your HV is trying to put him on a bloody diet, tell her to piss off. Here's another example of why I don't like Health visitors. Feed him how much he wants hun xxx

A very cheap alternative and extremely effective is a pack of "puppy pads" from b&m or home bargains. I had some left over from house training my puppy and they are great for letting Scott lie on for some fresh air to his bum lol. They absorb the wee really well too x

Thanks girls..."Operation Ignore HV" is underway. Id rather have a happy baby than adhere to her guidelines.

So p*ssed off with her - and also at myself for listening to her! She is a bit of a snooty cow and both times I have met her, she has managed to get my back up!! Grrrr.....
