****April 2019 Mummies****

How are everyone's bumps coming along? I have a weird one because sometimes it's there and it's quite firm and round (although small), and other times it completely disappears and I can't feel anything at all. I am only a size 8, but have always had a 'wobbly' tummy.
It seems to be more prominent when I'm lying down, especially when I wake in the middle of the night.. I have a loose theory that when I stand up, gravity sort of pulls the uterus back down behind the pubic bone which is why it sometimes isn't there.. anyone else have this??

My bump is round and firm but still quite low down, and it changes throughout the day but it’s definitely starting to pop out now, yay! I had a few people looking at my belly yesterday who don’t know, probably trying to work out if I was pregnant or just fat ha ha

Hi guys. I haven’t really been on much recently so just catching up. So exciting that there’s now two colours on the list. We paid for an early scan at 8 weeks so we’re going to try and hold off until our 20 week to find out instead of paying for another one lol. The 12 week was all good and the downs screening came back low so feeling a little more relaxed now. If you could put me down for the 16th that would be fab :) wishing you all a happy and healthy tri two and can’t wait to see how everyone gets on x

Welcome firstfreakout :-)

Yay two boys <3

Its already feeling like we are progressing really quick with our pregnancy's and i feel like my bump is getting bigger everyday - its obviously not, but feels like it

It really would help if i actually read what i am given :dohh:

So yep, mine says 'discuss results of initial blood test and screening; blood pressure and urine sample tested; listen to baby's heartbeat, further information on a healthy pregnancy given'

Is everyone going with their partners? I was just going to go on my own, but now i know about the heartbeat, i think i would want him there for that :eh:

I took my partner and my Mum because they both wanted to hear the heartbeat :D it was great having the OH there to hear the heartbeat, and handy as well because most things the midwive says to me goes in one ear and out the other so it’s good having another person to be your ears incase you forget something important they say. :) (I’ve got terrible baby brain at the moment) It was so amazing to hear, and you could hear them kicking around in there as well on the Doppler so it’s definitely not one to miss <3

I just told him and unfortunately because of his job, without taking the day off, it isnt easy for him to attend these appointments :-( its at 2pm, so a real awkward time.

He will be gutted, but might see what leave he has left and see if he wants to take the day off for it.x

Record it on your phone 😃 my OH only comes with me to scans and I recorded the HB both times.

My OH can’t come to my 16 week app either so I will be recording it, I really hope the midwife does it as in my notes for the 16 week appointment it doesn’t say the Doppler will be used :-( I will be gutted if i don’t get to listen to baby xx

I’m starting to feel convinced I can feel some movement now, I’ve had a few weird sensations kind of like a tightening or rolling feeling, it’s hard to describe, god knows what it is if it’s not the baby! X

Well it's funny you should say that, because literally a few hours after I'd posted the other day, I went down to the canteen at lunch and 2 separate people came up and asked me when I was due! haha so it must be more obvious than I thought! And since then, my little round bump hasn't really gone away, so maybe I was just in the couple of 'in-between' days when the uterus was making it's way out of the pelvis? I have also noticed a lot of people's eyes are instantly drawn to my tummy

Thankfully i managed to get the time changed from 2pm to 4pm, so my oh can get off work early and come with me

Yeah it’s definitely something I’ve not felt before, I’m also finding now if I get a bit gassy (yuck) it’s a bit painful, like sharp pains, until the gas is ‘released’, maybe cos there’s not much space for it anymore!

Got my 20 week scan on 26th nov, so that’s when I will find out if baby is a boy or girl, but I feel like I already know it’s a girl! X

When’s your 20 week scan IVW? X

I am feeling a lot more bloated in this trimester, which i didnt think was possible when you are pregnant  sounds like bloating and extra wind is part and parcel of this trimester, how lovely

My scan is 22nd November - were always a few days apart with our appointments :-)

I really dont feel like i can say what i think i am carrying, i literally have no idea and actually like you, i thought i would have an idea. I am sure if i start googling my pregnancy symptoms i will soon know what i am having  x

I’m the same, I feel like gas has all of a sudden become very painful!! Xx

I’ve had some pretty painful gas since last night too; I’m 13 weeks today.

So it seems like a few of us are getting painful gas, must be normal then! X

So this is my second kiddo and I swear I'm as big now as I was at like 19 weeks with DS! I did have a bit of extra weight to begin with but jeeeez.

I have heard quite a few ppl say you get bigger quicker with your second, I wish my big bump would hurry up just feel a bit fat at the moment! X

17+6 weeks with DS vs today at 13 weeks (today's is the red top!)
My bump was definitely a lot nicer back then because I was smaller to begin with!
