**** April 2015 Mummies ****

I was planning on finishing on the easter bank holiday too aimee but decided against it as the more I thought about it the more I thought I was really pushing it leaving it that late but was very reluctant to take maternity earlier. But then my HR manager said I'm still entitled to my full annual leave so I'm using that instead and my last day will be Friday 13th March! :D 8 weeks to go!!

It is amazing Cossie when I went at 22 weeks my MW said she could hear baby had hiccups.
that's no good having to start again Rooster but at least you know you'll get a proper check over and aren't relying on someone passing over information and things getting missed.
This is my first pregnancy too Aimee so kind of just going with what my body is saying, ive told my boss I could be leaving earlier and shes happy with that. I guess (or hope) I'll know when things get too much.

I measured 27cm at my 28 week appointment. I've no idea what this means xxx

I think the basic rule is, if you are 28 weeks you should measure 28cm. I always measured 2cm under last time. They allow a 5cm leeway either way (so long as baby grows with each check). If there is a greater than 5cm difference then they might offer a scan just to check baby isn't too big or to check baby is growing.

Guessing I might get measured tomorrow. I feel big though!

I think it depends on your size to start? I was 28 at 28 and I was at the top of my "range" so they said if I go over next time they will scan to check growth

Not so long ago I would just be getting home at this time now I'm trying to get rid of heartburn while LO has playtime...everyone else is snoring and I just can't help but think how lucky I am! Wouldn't change it for the world. Think at 26 weeks it's finally starting to sink in that I'm having a baby x

Aww.

I've woken with another headache. Argh. I'd change it for a pregnancy without headaches

You've had a tough time with your pregnancy symptoms Rooster I don't blame you for wanting a bit of a change. Hope your headache eases soon.

Asda's baby event starts online today ladies.
Think its in store on Monday.

Aww, that's lovely CDx

Hope the headache goes soon rooster!

It has to be said, I'm not loving pregnancy. Don't get me wrong, I'm sooo happy to be having a baby, and love feeling baby move, but I'm over the constant pain in my hips, and the lack of sleep cos of said pain! I'm feeling soo house bound at the moment, as I can't walk for more than 10 minutes without being in agonising pain. OH is being lovely about it, but I can tell he is feeling frustrated too, as our weekends are just spent sat at home, where as we used to be out doing things each weekend.

Sorry for the long wingey post :-(

:( my bump is achey, I can't bend and my lower back has started to ache too! Laying down doesn't help, sitting doesn't help, wLking and standing doesn't help. Trying to get up from bed was a might struggle this morning as was turning over in the night!

Think I'll be propping myself up on pillows with a hot water bottle on my back when I get home!!

29 weeks today, we set our pram up last night (we don't have anyone to store it with an I didn't want it leaving in the box) so it's all set up with a teddy & blanket in it ready for him, and our change bag hung on. I love it! Was pushing it around the living room lol. And it was on,y £250, we went for the mothercare orb. We couldn't see what a £800 pram could do that this couldn't do, and we were stuck with a small selection as we have drive a Mini One (buying family car later in year when baby bigger and we have a better idea of what we need)

What has everyone else bought? xxx

chazabell I agree with you I can't believe how expensive some prams are. I'm planning on spending no more than £200 on a travel system as money is tight.

Baby has been moving so much today I would love to see what she was doing in there!

Finally had to take my navel piercing out today. My bellybotton is starting to stretch now and feels quite tight.

We went with the maxi cosi mura 3 plus, which was expensive, but my family decided they wanted to buy it for us, so luckily we didn't have to pay for it. We did fork out on the seat belt version of an isofix base tho!

Xx

My mother in law has bought our pram, but we just couldn't work out what was worth the extra £500, but the Oyster prams were lovely to push and cool colours. The Costatto pram is funky too, free car seat and that's £450, just too big for our boot :(

We have the maxi cost car seat and the family isofix base which beeps when seat is correctly fitted....peace of mind xxx

We have our Oyster from last time so will be grabbing a new colour pack and reusing.
Checked the expiry date on our cabriofix seat from DD yest and it expires in feb! So will get another one but we have the base still so will only be £70 &Then we have Extended rear facing seats from DD which we can use once he's to big for the 0+ so wont have to buy another seat! xx

We've ordered the silver cross pioneer as its a great size for putting in the car and very easy to use plus a massive basket underneath, can't wait to use it. We also bought the britax dualfix to save our backs and it lasts from birth to four years :-) feeling much more organised now :-)

We have the Mama and Papas Urbo from last time. It has lasted well and bought a Buggy Board for my son. Fingers crossed it can last another 2 years or so!

Had a long long MW appointment today as I'll be giving birth in a different county, however they didn't know how this would work out with regular MW appointments and my post-natal care. I now have 2 maternity notes - one for where I live and one for where I'll give birth and receive consultant care. I'm booking in to see my local MW on Monday to see if she knows what the deal will be. It just seems like one big mess and really don't want to have 2 sets of maternity notes! Grrr.

The Dualfix is an amazing seat! DD is still using hers rear facing at 2.5 & has loads of room (we didnt buy it until she was 1 as i didn't know about erf!)
We will get the cabriofix again for the first year as its handy being able to lift sleeping baby in and out in the seat! But when he outgrows it DD will be to big for the dualfix so he can move into that x

What's the expiry on the cabriofix for???

Never herd of this....have I missed something? My mind us mush!! xxx

We got the bugaboo buffalo as a gift from my parents with the maxicosi car seat and isofix. We probably wouldn't have gotten this one if we were paying but I LOVE it.

I'm so achey and I'm nearing my mental limit I think! 29 weeks today and no idea how I'll manage another 11 weeks grrr!
