**** April 2015 Mummies ****

Congratulations emma! :-) and I know exactly what you mean! Tbh I still don't believe that I'm pregnant! It's my ever expanding belly that reminds me every so often when I feel stretched or when it gets in the way!

Headache and nausea this morning. Super. Just sent my OH to get me some toast to settle things down.

Congrats Emma on officially being in Tri 3 :-)

Mothercare sound like they are being a right pain. I've never ordered anything from them, and doubt I will now!

Hopefully you get good results this morning Prettypee.
We got our pram from mothercare, ordered online and got it delivered to store which actually arrived a day or 2 early. Thankfully we had a lovely sales assistant who loaded it onto one of the small trollies with 2 wheels and helped us out to the car. Surely this should be standard procedure for any bulky items to avoid damage? I would mention that in your complaint. Hopefully you get it resolved soon.

We had a nightmare with mothercare and our travel system last time! infact the courier(yodel) was mostly to blame and kept losing bits!
It resulted in us getting our full Oyster travel system for free though so although I've stayed well clear this time it wasn't all bad as we saved £600!

Bloods are ok but they are going to recheck in a few weeks.

Mothercare drive me nuts. I think I'm going to get oh to call mothercare today as I've lost the will to live with it!! They have agreed to compensate but they won't confirm compensation until everything is resolved.

Welcome to tri 3!!

Argh. Feeling absolutely shattered today. I've been awake since 5am as I had headache and nausea, plus preggo, plus a 2 year old. Sooooo tired! How the bobbins will I cope in 10 weeks?!

Prettypee, am now skint thanks to 3 Sprouts  My son has been treated!

I've had period type aches and niggles the last 2 days and wind. Feeling very uncomfortable and waddling when I was despit not gaining any weight other than bump. So glad I finish work in 6 weeks!! xxx

I've had similar niggles chazabell. I think because the aches are paired with tummy feeling really tight and heavy they might be braxton hicks?

I finish work in 8 weeks!! It seems like nothing! Hopefully it'll go quickly!! :-D

Got my 28 week midwife appointment at 11:45 this morning. Any ideas what I can expect at this appointment?

Not much- they did normal pee test, prodded belly, measured, listened heart beat, asked how I'm doing etc same as 25 basically!

How many weeks will u all be when you start maternity leave?
Is anyone doing nct classes? We had booked onto one but due to low take up we've been moved onto another which is more our area anyway but the dates means it finishes towards the end of March, what happens if baby arrives a few weeks early?

Sounds nice and simple then :) I guess this is how it's going to be now until our babies are here!! Thanks prettypee!

I'll be 36 weeks on my last working day but I am using annual leave for 2 weeks until 1st April and then I'll start maternity :) I've not booked into any classes as yet but I might ask midwife about them today if I remember!

My original plan was to start maternity leave at 36 weeks, but now I'm not sure if I'll be back in work at all (been signed off for 2 weeks and doc said he would extend it as needed). Part of me is glad (was sooo painful trying to teach) but at the same time I don't know what I'm going to do if I am off til I give birth!! Not that I can do much.

As for classes we are doing some private ones run by a local midwife, much cheaper than the NCT ones, and the are in march.

Glad your bloods were all ok prettypee

Xx

I'll be 34 weeks when I leave for Maternity leave. Really glad I brought it forward from 36 weeks as I'm already feeling a hey and I want to relax with bubs before he arrives, it's not fair on him to go to work and come home feeling all achey.....and he moves very very little when I'm working!! I'll have 3 weeks annual leave then my maternity starts.

I've just booked onto my antenatal class, we are doing a full day as we can't guarantee we can attend. Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Ours is 21st Feb as next was 21st March which is cutting it a little hit close to our due date!!

Going shopping this evening for some bits for my hospital bag and some maternity jeans and a few button up blouses or shirts..,,rather excited :) xxx

morning ladies,
I'm officially tri 3 today. Getting a bit inpatient now and I think this baby is in a weird position as I'm always uncomfortable/in pain. Got loads of appointments the next few weeks with midwives, consultants, vbac team, scans etc. Just wanting some time to rest but not looking likely, especially with a 2 year old lol

xx

I just finalised mat leave with work yesterday. I'll be 36.5 weeks when I finish up, last working day being the 31st of March. Using annual leave and then mat leave will start the Monday after my due date so 27th April. I've used some other leave to break up what I have left so I'm in for 2 weeks then off for a day or 2 to relax. First of those days being today and I'm not even out my PJs and just going for a bubble bath...Bliss!

I'm lucky, I don't have to worry about Mat Leave as I quit my job after having my son. I probably won't be returning to work until this baby turns 3 when he/she can be in preschool for 15 hours a week for free. Even then, I only plan to go to work part-time in an office somewhere (preferably a college or school so I can have school holidays with my kiddiwinkles), who knows, it's a long way off yet, thank goodness!

My son just survived another session at preschool, he only started just before Christmas for one morning per week. It hasn't been going all that well just yet, but just letting him get used to it before I panic! I picked him up today and he wasn't crying and didn't say 'I don't like preschool' I'm hoping that we're getting somewhere!

Good news rooster, fingers crossed he's getting used to it! :)

Appointment with midwife went well. I'm measuring on the big side but she said it could be for a number of reasons and not necessarily because I'm cooking a whopper in there! She took bloods and tested urine as per usual and listened to his heartbeat which I still find incredible :) She even explained what the other noises we could hear were! There were some swooshing noises which she said where him moving around! So exciting!! :D

Awesome! I'm glad it went well. The first time I got measured with my son at 28 weeks, I measured 30cm, at the next one at 31 weeks I measured 29cm  Take it with a pinch of salt sometimes! I measured small for the rest of the pregnancy - seriously doubt I will this time though. I already feel pretty stretched!

I have my MW appointment tomorrow, and it's essentially going to be another 'booking in' appointment so it's going to be a long one basically. I think my old notes are going to be scrapped and they'll give me new ones. I'm looking forward to seeing the brand spanking new maternity area at Telford.

This is my first pregnancy so I had/have no idea how I'll feel closer to my due date. But I want as much time off as possible after the birth. So I'm finishing at Easter and due 11th April. My job is now home based and flexible so I'm lucky in the respect but do u think working that close will b too difficult? I'm hoping baby will arrive early but u never know lol baby will arrive when it's good and ready.
