**** April 2015 Mummies ****

My midwife just called saying my bloods showed low iron. To be honest, it's good to know as I have been feeling really just 'off' lately and couldn't explain it, seems like my blood results have explained it for me! I'm glad it wasn't all in my head!

I'll be getting iron tablets. I can't wait to start feeling more normal again.

In a weird way that's great news rooster! At least you know why you've been feeling off now :)

i was told i was aneamic last week too, Rooster, hoping the iron tablets help a bit!

Absolutely fuming just been pulled up for my flexi time in work as I'm in the negative, I'm 28 weeks pregnant and travelling 2 and a half hours each day give me a break!! I asked to get moved from an out based role to an office based role when I had lower back problems and they placed me the furthest office from my home. I then had to produce a physio report for them before they would spend about £10 on a back rest. Mat leave can't come quick enough!

That's one of the many reasons why I consider myself lucky that I don't have to work!

I'm feeling completely drained today, my low iron doesn't help, but it's largely because my son has a nice list of (non serious) health issues and gah. Too much. Constipation, sore bum, sore tummy, wheezy chest, sore throat, teething - all at once! Plus pregnant, anaemic mummy. We're not doing too well here

I wish I could have told them where to stick their job Rooster.

Aw your poor wee man having to deal with all that at once hard, I think you both deserve lots of cuddles and naps for you both until the iron tablets kick in and help with your energy levels.

Started packing babies hospital bag and feeling a bit overwhelmed, I don't know what we'll need and think I'm packing far too much. Does the hospital provide blankets or are you better taking your own? We bought some swaddle ones but don't want them going missing in hospital. OHs mum has knitted us a shawl as well. We have sleeping bags as well but I am guessing best leaving them at home?

I've been told our hospital provide nappies and bottles as well but packed our own as I want baby to have what we are planning to use long term straight away. Got a cheap baby soother blanket/teddy thing as well to give baby a rub over with and to get their scent so OH or my mum can bring it home for our dog to try prepare her as best as we can.

Also realised I have a slight obsession with buying bandana bibs.

Oh gosh. I haven't even considered the hospital bag yet, and we haven't got a nursery yet either! We're really not doing that well to be honest!

I posted this picture on another thread that someone else was asking about it. My friend works as a care assistant in an MLU and sent me this pic to help me out :-) she said it's the one they give out to women that are under their care

Oh gosh. I do not have the mental capacity for that amount of packing! Definitely putting off that task for another month yet!

My baby at 28 weeks. Babies legs are above its head in a somersault position! A gymnast already! Any gender guesses?!

Aww rooster that's a fab picture! I'm crap on guessing but I guess a girl, not based on anything lol

I'm not really looking forward to packing our hospital bag last time i got it packed and ready by the front door by 34 weeks as the consultant kept saying i wouldnt make it past 35 weeks but i proved him wrong and got to 39 weeks as had to be induced due to pre-eclampsia.

After 3 previous pregnancies i should know what to pack already but i keep forgetting lol i know the basics like the scratch mits hats babygrows and vest, nappies wipes, milk etc but i almost always end up forgetting to pack something for me that i need and end up having to send OH down to the hospital spar shop to pick it up lol. i think im going to pop round town on Tuesday to pick some stuff up from the baby event in morrisons and make sure i have a list written down with what i need lol.

Rooster - such a lovely scan pic i'm rubbish with guesses but i'm going to guess girl also :) I have a scan on Monday to double check due date and growth as they think lil one is going to be on the small side again but will have to pick up my eldest lad from school early and more than likely take him with me even though he will be bored with all the waiting around lol x

Awwww, rooster that it a gorgeous pic! Can't wait til mine, a week on Monday.

Hi ladies, how we all doing? So I've finally ventured over to tri 3...how exciting!?

Can't believe I'm here already, especially when tri 1 seemed like the longest time ever!
Hope you're all doing well? Lovely scan pic rooster!

X

Welcome to Tri 3! Do you know your babies gender?

Thanks, I can't wait to meet our new little bubba. I'm feeling very unorganised though. I really do need the next 11 weeks

Hi dodsy, welcome to tri 3 :)
I've generally felt good for a while now but woke up this morning feeling like crap. And also kept waking up with backache and also checking on my youngest boy cuz he isnt well. So now todays gonna be a very long day gonna try and nap when oh gets back from his dads later. My eldest two are really good and will do what they can to keep themselves occupied and play with Ollie when he feels like playing but at the moment he's sat on the settee with a blanket watching Thomas the tank engine. so if anything will be a film day today starting with aladdin.

Hope you're feeling good?

Xx

Yay dodsy!! :D I guess this means all April mummies are in tri 3 now!!

What a gorgeous picture rooster! I'm so jealous that you got to see baby again! I'm considering booking another private scan just so I can see him again, but there's part of me that feels it would be a waste of time as I can feel him and in 10 weeks I should be able to actually hold him! :)

Thanks! I'm lucky as I have two more scans before baby arrives. I'm taking my mum next time as she's never seen a baby on a scan before.

I hope your youngest feels better soon emmalouise. My son is also unwell at the moment, so similarly we are have a pyjama day.

Welcome to tri 3 Dodsy!

It's all feeling quite real now.... Only a few weeks until our little ones are in our arms.... Anyone scared yet? Cos I'm terrified (in a good way of course! Lol)

Xx
