**** April 2015 Mummies ****

congratulations :D wonder if any of us will have our babies the same day as kate middleton, ive seen that they are giving specials coins to any one who does :)!
I wasnt supposed to be offered a sweep or examination until 41 weeks with max, i think it depends on the area and whether
you have any issues as some places seem to offer them at 40 week apps as standard! im at the midwife tomorrow too :-) then got my second sweep on thursday! i feel abit off today, sicky :( xxx

I'll be 39+5 so not sure if they'll bother or not. I went the full 42 weeks last time with no internal checks at all as my sons head never dropped enough.

Would love a Royal Baby!

Hey guys, so many babies here already - not long now! I had no definitive proof of labour starting really, mine was very sudden and intense!

Thought I'd share a couple photos of Ashley now she's 11 days...

Aww what a beaut! Can't believe she's 11 days old already?! How can that be?!

shes gorgeous!! cant wait to dress my little girl eek too cute xxx

Just noticed that my bump has definitely dropped and feeling more movement and a bit of pressure down there - no pains though.

I had a few pains earlier and was hoping that they might turn into something but nothing now :(

Oh no Rooster, hope you feel better now and managed to get some more sleep.

Hi ladies, hope the last few of you are doing ok! Can't believe that this time last month we were starting to say that our month is next and wondering who our first April baby in April was going to be! And now there's a few April babies left and the pregnancy threads will be no more!

Quick update from me. Alex had his heel pick test yesterday and was possibly more painful than labour for me :-( night times are hard as he really suffers with wind and it's difficult to get up but we'll get there. We were brave enough to give him his first bath at home this morning, he looked so cute in his towel!

I had to phone the hospital at 6.30am to find out when to come and in. So I was told to be there at 8.30am. I am waiting now and by the look of it it's going to be a long wait.... Internet isn't great here so will update when I can...

Good luck!

Got more cramps today which are more painful than yesterday! More like a constant period pain though.

Hope things get started soon Graci.

Alex looks so so cute in his towel. Awww.

Midwife appointment went well. Baby 3/5 engaged but means diddly for second pregnancies as babies go in and out all the time. Measuring small at 36cm but they weren't worried. If still pregnant at next appointment then will get an induction date. Sob. Come on baby! Be on time please!

all ok at midwife other than still measuring 5 weeks behind, was just told to bring it up with my consultant on thursday when I go for my second sweep! baby well engaged apparently! just wish something would happen! xxx

Hi Snave - so pleased you got your waterbirth - jealous of the no of hours though! early labour 24hrs, established labour 16hrs, 5 hours pushing...all on 5hrs sleep across 3 days....also had a fun time of it with the head - no one can prepare you for how that feels lol...wierd also halfway through as she turned her head upon exit lol and kicked once as if to say 'get me out of here!' - giving birth in water was the best thing ever though! ace for pain relief and meant could effectively float whilst pushing (with assistance of 3 ppl of course) - nothing is more motivating than feeling your babys head during the crowning stage either...feeling lots of hair in my case lol...oh and picking her up from within water was so calm and empowering...

Yay!!! My baby boy was born today just after 12pm. Weighed 4.1kg and we are both doing fine.

Thank you Rooster. He is so good at breastfeeding. He has breastfed 3 times in 3 hours no problem :) so happy for that. Myself not in pain so it makes even better. All in all good experience.
