I'm from the June mummies! Congrats babyslog, what a great labour and birth that sounds. How big was Charlie? Xx

Aww wow congratulations Dani, so glad you got the birth you wanted and into the pool too!! What a big boy Charlie is, can't wait to see a pic.

H4L I hope things pick up for your wife but I agree it sucks that you can't stay if not on labour ward! xx

Wow!!! Congratulations again, you did so well, so good to hear good experiences xxx

Congratulations Dani!!

Any news h4l??

Nothing yet. Last i heard from my good lady she was still the same but in that much pain that she was getting a diamorpheine injection to try and give her a bit of relief so she could get some rest.

Just getting showered now and will head towards hospital for some breakfast and see what the script is.

Im absolutely knackered as ive been gettijg by on 2 hours sleep a day for the last 10 days. I know thats nothing though compared to the great work shes doing. Hopefully today.

Aw god H4L!!!!

Bless her :(
It defo isn't easy for partners either, bet uve been on edge so much not being there too.
Really hope things pick up for her xxxx

Cheers shower has made no difference, coffee now. Phoned in and they said although no change at least shes had a little sleep that she wouldnt have got at home and ready for whatever today brings.

Hows u?

Wow congratulations Dani! So glad you got the birth you wanted :-) how are you both doing this morning?

I thought we were in for a rough night last night after lots of feeding 10-1, but she's only just woken for another feed. 5 mins and she's just dozed off again. Xxx

Im hanging!

Noah had me up midnight friday/sat warly hrs with a bad ear which i think is dwn to his last molars coming in.. Then i was up from 5am anyway with preggy insomnia lol!

6am these on off contractions start. Give birth 8.04pm n ive managed 1hr sleep 4.30am-5.30am ... Otherwise hes either been on the boob clustering or pooing lol!!!

Otherwise feeling so inlove xx

Typical isn't it, when you need to cram the sleep in, you never can! It's all worth it tho :-)

We're back to clustering again this morning I think. So tired!

Hope everything is going ok for you both H4L and little one is here soon :-)

Xxx

Congratulations babyslog! Amazed you managed to make it into the pool with him coming that quick!!

H4L I hope it's not long. Hopefully once she starts to dilate it'll go quickly. Just have to get there, if you know what I mean? It is hard for partners. They get no sympathy or thoughts during the whole thing, but it's still pretty rough!!

Jenni - if the pain is soreness, I got told to think about it that if you sucked your thumb suddenly every day (and think how hard they suck!!!) for hours on end, it would probably get sore. Just because you aren't used to it yet, you know? I found the first week or 2 incredibly sore, but never had any issue diagnosed, his latch was perfect etc etc, it just bloody hurt! But it did definitely improve xxx

Congratulations Dani, sounds a great birth and Charlie an oz bigger than Joe, we clearly breed them large in May! So pleased I didn't go over, god knows what weight he would have been then!

Jenni, my latch with Joe was ok but was really painful first couple of days,.now it's fine so I think what Tigger says is right, it takes a while for the skin to 'toughen up'. Cluster feeding makes it worse. Hang in there.

Scaredmommy I hope all is ok and you're holding your lo now. Good luck H4L.

I think it is more 'sore' now rather than painful, either that or I'm just getting used to it lol. That totally makes sense tho tigger, they've never been abused like this before so it's bound to take some getting used to. Everyone has said her latch is fab so we should be ok in a few days :-)

It's strange tho, it's like she's literally sucking the life out of me everytime she feeds. I can feel fine, but once she starts feeding, I'm struggling to keep my eyes open. And in hungry. So hungry!!! Xxx

What a riot, phoned hospital who told me all well, Mrs then phoned me to tell me she had abnormal bleeding through the night and going to labour suite and possible section. She says youll probably not get her in time.

Land speed records broke to get here and currently out for a break whilst epidural being prepared. Sometimes these hospitals need a boot up the arse, honest to god.
