Yeah they didnt check mine till my 25wk check with Noah. Which i was fine about as i had my gender & 20wk scan before then anyway.

Cant believe we dnt see mw now till 28wks with 2nd baby lol! Thats like middle/end of feb!!!!! Gotta call surgery after xmas to ask her for my MATB1 xx

Nice guidelines say they shouldn't check until 24 weeks now because they won't always find it.xx

This is what they told me last time, so had to wait until 24 week apt which seemed like forever!!

I think I still get a 24 wk apt, I'm under a different area this time (I've lived here for 3 years but never got round to changing to the local docs until Oscar was born!) so some things are slightly different. I'm also medium risk - which I didn't even know was a thing, I always thought it was high or low - I think I'll be seeing a consultant at some point to decide whether I'm high or low risk. Maybe that's why I'm getting the extra appointments at the minute? Xx

I've got my 16w appt today and i assumed they would look for hb like they did last time I was pregnant. I'll be gutted if they don't do it anymore, been really looking forward to it. Especially as my scan isn't till end of Dec.

Some still do bobkat (hence my friends panic!!) but I don't think they're supposed to. I reckon most would if you ask though? I heard baby on the Doppler on Sunday - it's such a lovely sound

Day off work today because my 2 year old isn't well (he's fine in himself now but had a bit of diarrhoea on Sunday/Monday morning). Already been into work at 7.30 to meet some deadlines!! I was home before the rest of the office even started!! Think it's going to be a long day full of peppa pig and Ben and holly today!!!

Fun morning for us so far.....
Oscar generally had dry skin on his cheeks, but nothing too bad. Woke up this morning just as I was getting ready to drop him off at MILs before work, his face looked so sore bless him. Rang work and said I'd be late cos I was taking him to the docs. Doctor said impetigo (as I thought) so prescribed antibiotic cream and medicine and said to obviously keep him off nursery until it heals as its v contagious. So another day off work for me today, yay lol. He's fine in himself, just looks nasty and sore. I'm trying to sort someone to watch him the rest of the week while I work, although I'm not trying too hard tbh haha xx

I've got midwife appointment today. Really hoping that we will hear the heartbeat.

Mines the same, after today no appointment for ages with MW though at least I have first consultant appointment early January.

I dodnt mind as they never with Noah either, ive found HB from 10wks with my angel sounds anyway.

Last time I dud and they do apparently check. I'm in thst awful ple e r/n where I do t feel pregnant and not getting movement yet so feel distinctly in-pregnant. I also had e a touch of white coat syndrome.

I got to hear the hb too today at my 16w appt, so happy, it sounded great. She didn't ask (I would have said yes) so at the moment it seems like in my area its an ordinary part of that appt. She did say tho that with all changes to nhs and to pre-natal care, the 16w appt might not be done by a mw in future as all it is is a quick check of blood pressure, hb and urine. I was in and out in 10mins. Although I don't like the idea of that, what if you had questions/concerns. She didn't agree with it either. I have a 20 week scan on 30th when I'm actually 21 and a half, and then back to see the mw when I'm 26 weeks for my 24 week appt cos she's on holiday beforehand when I would have needed it. Hopefully despite all my appts being a bit after when they should be, baby wont get lazy and go overdue.....by much anyway!

Glad to hear that your appointment went well too. It's so nice to hear the heartbeat isn't it. I was grinning from ear to ear

I wasn't asked either, in my blue notes though it says that this is routine at this appointment. I'm surprised areas vary so much.

I heard hb at my 16 weeks appt but that was only for reassurance as I'd had a small bleed the wknd before.

Had a few good kicks today so I'm happy plus my sister had her baby today...little girl 5lb 6oz so will be able to get my baby fix x

Yeah half the size of what my babies usually are lol...she'll be home today so I can have lots of cuddles.

I bought my crib yesterday...collect it later this evening-it was on eBay with no bids so felt the need lol x
