The cool, calm, chilled 2ww thread

Hi girl's I know I haven't commented much but have been reading your posts everyday and they have helped keep me calm and level headed so thank you all for that.

I managed to resist testing until today 14dpo and no AF did a cheepie HPT and it's BFP for me it's only a faint line but it's defiantly there :)
good luck to everyone.

Wow hun - congrats!

Are you going to make an announcement or do another test to confirm??

xxxxxxxxxxx

Thanx still in shock never thought it would happen I'm going to re test on friday just to confirm

oh wow so metformin is working for you then! Thats excellent! Are you also on a low GI diet?

I have been prescribed a very low dose metformin and stick religiously to low GI.

got a lovely egg this cycle so somethng must be working, but whether it will be enough to get a BFP this month who knows.

Are you hopeful for testing? x

Hi just read about your chemical pregnancies so sorry to hear about it
I have PCOS and have been on metformin for years it really heped with the weight loss but none of the other symptoms.

I had a chemical pregnancy in December and my GP just gave me the brush off so He told me it was because my progesterone level dropped and I couldn't maintain a pregnancy also why a fertilized egg won't implant coz my levels drop

I started using natural progesterone cream a month ago and just got a positive result was told to continue for the next 12 weeks at least to maintain healthy progesterone levels
hope this helps don't give up hope xx

This is my first two week wait on progesterone so hope I have the same
Luck as you. Did you find any side affects from
The cream or false symptoms on your unsuccessful cycles?
X

Aw, congratulations!

I'm bored with no symptoms to spot or 'am I, aren't I' worrying to do! Can't wait for my period to arrive so we can get back to trying! It's interesting though, as I'm experiencing the exact things last month that made me wonder if I was (sore nipples and occasional cramps). It's very useful to know they're clearly things I feel every month and have never been attuned to before.

we inseminated mon and tues so test day will be 19th march. fingers crossed ;) xx

Grats on your BFP stepaul.

Lara_M - I'm always hopeful for testing but always get dissapointed :(
Not on a low GI diet as I'm a multi allergen so have to be careful what I can eat anyway which isn't much. However I have stopped putting sugar on my shreddies in a morning and hardly eat any sweets etc now - only when I need a boost and don't have much at that.
I eat lots of pasta, rice and chicken with salads and fruit instead of ready meals and junk which has also helped immensly.
Hope this helps :)

how early can symptoms show? im trying not to make myself believe im pregnant but its soooo hard :(

I dont believe in symptoms Im afraid. Its fun to symptom spot but some of my heaviest most tender boobs have been in BFN cycles and then when I've been pregnant I've had no idea!

ITs such a pain the AF symptoms are so similar to pregnancy!!:wall2:

You know what I do believe in though - potentially some girls get a temp dip at implantation. Not everyone, but a couple of my friends did who ended up with BFPs. I guess that could happen between 6-10 DPO.

How many DPO are you now?? x x

Isn't testing just soooo disppointing. I love testing and then I hate it!

What are you allergic too?

I hate PCOS and all the crappy things it does to us. I have had it since I was 15 but never imagined it would become so such a pain in the neck for me with my fertility.

I think anything before 7dpo is just normal ovulation stuff...

Between 1dpo - 7dpo implantation will take place, normally closer to 7dpo...

Symptoms from 8dpo can count BUT symptom spotting doesn't bode well if you are trying to remain cool, calm and collected :)
