thought I'd share my team blue cupcakes I made for my baby shower yesterday!

Loving your cupcakes bunnykins!!

Feel like i have still got so much to buy! So far we have on order a wardrobe, chest of drawers, cotbed and travel system. We have also bought a moses basket, bouncer, a few clothing bits - sleepsuits, bodysuits etc - but nowhere near enough yet, got a few packs of baby wipes too but that's all for toiletries. Think our next purchase will be a steriliser and bottles.

aw thanks, I am quite proud of them I made them all on the sunday morning, including the sugar paste bows cos I'd been in hospital Friday and Saturday so it ended up being a bit more last minute than I had planned! but I was determined to do them as I make cakes for everyone else and thought why shouldnt I have some for my own baby shower!!!!!
It was a lovely day tho my sis and mum and cousins who organised it did me proud, they had decorated the garden with balloons and bunting etc and done loads of games like a baby quiz (which I won he he!!) and pass the parcel, and guess the babies name (as Ive kept it a secret!) and other things, and the prizes were all blue things to keep in with the baby boy theme, it was all so cute I had to wear a yummy mummy sash and everyone fussed over me, it was a day to remember!!!!!

Aw wow those cakes look great.

We painted the nursery and have eventually gone with a typical blue... i was jubious as i really wanted orange but it didnt look that good and the blue looks great, its all empty at the moment and my bedroom is full of baby stuff, i cant wait to get the furniture in so i can put it all where it belongs

Im turning into a major clean freak and i dont want anything in his room until the furniture comes but i also hate having my room a mess with his stuff piled up all over the place... i just cant wait.

I do need a chunky foam square approx 1mx1m for a seat im making... kinda like what is on bay windows but chunkier... does anyone know a place that does that kind of stuff? im not good at textiles and dont have clue where to start looking :-/

Bunnykins, your cupcakes looked fab and your babyshower sounds lovely! My best friend is doing one for me on sept 25th and she is great at cupcakes so am secretly hoping I get something similar!

Nusery furniture is coming tuesday (not mothercare addington as I originally wanted- cotbed out of stock and is now discontinued.......so we have gone for the jamestown range instead). Can't wait to get it up and start putting things in his room!

Do any of u have the 'my favourite things' range from babies r us? We have had problems with the musical mobile.....the tune it plays is 'london bridge' but the last note is sooooo out of tune it sounds awful.....have already exchanged it once but the new one is just the same. Am going to return it but will have to find another muscial mobile now......anyone got a good one with in tune music?!
