***September 2016 Mummies - the last lap***

Oh naughty baby :) good luck whichever way you end up delivering

Bobby enjoy your last weekend off and then your last week of work :)

How you doing Naomi x

I'm doing ok, no signs though despite the incredibly hot curry I consumed last night! If the weather improves we are going to go for a walk this pm after simon wakes up from his night shift. I'm still hoping so much for a natural labour or for the induction to work as don't want another c section. Feeling less hopeful for natural though the closer the induction is getting, especially because I still don't think baby is engaged.

Has your infection cleared now Caroline?

I wonder how Karen is getting on now.

Best of luck SCL, can't wait to hear if you have a boy or girl! Xxx

Aww fingers crossed its as natural as can be, when you had a section last time were you left with an overhang flap? If so does it ever go and how long does it take?

Yes my infection is gone now thank god, the boys have oral thrush though so we are on that fun now lol x

Yes unfortunately I still had mine when I got pregnant this time. Lost a bit of weight but it didn't seem to shift. Maybe if I'd lost more weight though it would have eventually gone. I hate it as it makes me feel so self conscious. Hoping it might resolve itself now I've been pregnant again, or if not I'm going to make more of an effort this time around to exercise and eat well to lose some weight afterwards. One of the reasons I'm worried about another c section is that it could make it even worse!!

Everyone is different though so hopefully yours will go with little issue xxx

Gosh that's a very indecisive baby you've got there! Hope the propess goes ok!!! Xxx

I told Chris it has a year to go or I want it sorting with surgery lol, I currently really hate my body, love my boys though :). it just sucks that you can't exercise for 6 weeks and then I don't know what time I am going have to excercise lol x

Yeh that was my issue last time - by the time I was allowed to exercise millie was already napping less and there was just no real time to do it!

I mentioned surgery to simon too but in reality we just don't have the funds. Maybe when I go back to working full time but while I'm part time we can only really cover the necessities.

I think mine was worse than it would have been because I had horrendous water retention after millie, made worse by all the time I spent leaning forward in the last few weeks trying to get her to turn from back to back (which incidentally didn't work so needn't have bothered!). The water retention took a good few months to go and left my skin even more saggy under the belly button. Urgh! Xxx

I think mines bad because of my bump size, don't get me wrong babies are worth every pain etc we go through, but then when your hormones are dropping and you are emotional, we get hit while we are down. I won't be completely against a small bulge but I don't like what I currently see x

My mum has an overhang from having a cyst removed and it makes her miserable. I hope yours vanishes after a natural labour x

Here's hoping Caroline.
And yeh well you were carrying two babies for 9 months so it's bound to take a bit of time but like you say it's like getting hit when you're down. Self esteem at that point is usually bad enough as it is! Xxx

My BiL said he will help me out when the dr gives me the ok to exercise.

I'm very excited for more September babies to arrive, it's my due date on Tuesday lol x

Haha that'll feel funny having two three week olds on your due date!
Two more sleeps for me! Having a lovely afternoon with millie after a bit of a tantrum filled morning. Dropping her off at my parents tomorrow morning and she'll stay there til 4 to give me time to have a little clean and a relax.
Is your BIL good with exercise then? If he gives you any good techniques you'll have to share!!! Xxx

MrsB I remember going to a Barre3 class a few months postpartum after my first baby... And the entire room was mirrors and after the class I wept. I just had a total breakdown. Postpartum bodies are so different. I ended up training for a half marathon when my daughter was about 18 months old and that made me feel so empowered and strong. It's hard to be patient with yourself. I'm not going to tell you to embrace your awesome and magical body that just grew two healthy gorgeous boys... Because I know you can do that and still feel uncomfortable in your skin. It's very difficult! I hope the overhang resolves itself naturally and you feel better as time goes by.

I just posted Summer's birth story in the birth announcements section- in case anyone wants to read it :)

I know, it will be nicer than waiting around for labour to start though :)

Yes he's a firefighter in job 1 and a fitness instructor in job 2, but he has been a fitness instructor for as long as I have known him, he doesn't live that near though, so I don't get a free personal trainer :(

I will share any exercises he gives though :) x

I wish I could do a half marathon, the best I managed was 10k. Running isn't my strong suit, swimming is but now it's going to be a matter of finding the time to get to the gym enough, plus I don't think I will be comfortable in a swimming costume. I also know for a fact I would also have a meltdown in a room full of mirrors ... You are very brave for doing that, did the class help? X

I was having a cry about it before and my husband said if it doesn't go he will find the money and pay for me to have a tummy tuck ... Then pipes up with 'are you sure you don't want more children first?' .... He has a knack of saying stupid things lol, I think my body is done making children lol, Sod's law says we will get triplets if we tried again lol x

Aw Caroline sorry it's getting you down so much. I really do empathise though. Your hubby is very sweet saying he'll get it sorted if it's getting you down. But lol about the more kids question -- is he mad?!!

Kholl will have a read of your birth story in a bit. Hope you and your little lady are getting on OK!

I wonder how SCL is getting on? Xxx

Hi ladies
Good luck SCL, hope things are progressing nicely for you xx

Sorry I've not been on for ages, Jacob and visitors keeping me busy!!
We're doing great, Jacob never mastered the art of latching on and he's now just formula fed, feeling more gutted about it than I thought I would be ... still feel tearful that he never managed but he's feeding really well and got himself a routine feeding 3-4 hourly.
MrsB I've got an awful looking overhang too but it's very early days, try not to be too down about it xx
Naomi I hope things happen for you over the next few days xx

A wee pic of my boy
