I think next time I'll say that 1 feel is quite enough.

It does sound like there were a lot of people poking about! My MW does that to me sometimes to make me feel LO's head if it's particularly prominent and you can move it around in between your hands. But she's never got OH to have a feel. I'm sure LO is fine though even though your tummy hurts. You'll probably find that your stomach is just lightly bruised from the pokes!

Traci - I know what you mean! The last two days my legs have been in agony! Baby definitely isn't engaged so I don't really know what's causing it, he's still floating around in breech position! Feel better soon xx

Ft90, does your tummy hurt after that sometimes? Mine is still a bit uncomfortable even after a nights sleep :-/

Yeah mine hurts afterwards sometimes as well. MW seems to always have issues finding baby's position (here's a hint, he's ALWAYS breech or transverse ) so instead of using her palms, she really prods about with her fingers, so sometimes I feel like I have little bruises under the skin!


I can't believe our first october mummy has had her baby!!! Her due date was even after mine! Seems so real now!!!

I am I'll inbox you my name to add me! Although on my facebook you won't see any talk of pregnancy! Only a couple of my friends know I'm pg, most of them don't... And because I'm not married, my Dad hasn't told any of his family! He's palestinian, and although he said he'd have preferred it if I was married first, he's still excited about his first grandchild!

Shame that most of my family wouldn't share his happiness! I'm always so jealous about people who can post all about it on FB, but have to keep my family happy!!

DW should I add you too?

If it makes you any better I was really scared to tel my family I was expecting the first time even though I am married lol. Don't worry I will not mention anything on the FB page. How are you hiding it ten or do you just see them? xx

All my family live over in the middle east, so I never really see them... As for my friends, I was at uni in Cheltenham, but I just finished in May and I wasn't showing too much, so I just wore looser tops! I've just moved down to Hampshire, so it's not like I'm bumping into anyone! Have my grad ceremony in November, so I'll have had LO by then, I'm taking him with me, but I think it'll be hilarious with the shock factor!

Haha speaking of being scared to tell family, I told my Mum by text message, and she then told my dad! OH and I had been TTC for 5 months, but we just told everyone it was an accident, so they don't go on about the marriage thing. OH's parents are quite religious too so they wanted us to be married. I told them all that we'll do it in our own time! I don't want to look back and think that I only got married in a rush because we were having a baby!

Same birthday and same due date. Bizzarre lol. What is TTC I saw it in forums but unsure of what it stands for? What were you studying?
We told no one we were preg until after first scan both times, with first I remember taking the pic with me to my aunts and but ended up telling her over phone when got back lol.
SO does your dad live here? Bet it can be lonely with your family being away. I be the same I wouldn't wanna get married for the baby sake as I will always doubt why my hubby to be married me and for what reason xx

I know, it's so strange isn't it!!! TTC means trying to conceive! So we were trying for 5 months, then we found out my sister in law was pregnant, I was so gutted! But then 2 weeks later we got our positive test!

I was studying law... Just a bit of light reading for three years haha!

My dad lives and works over in holland, but my mum lives just round the corner, so that's why I moved down here, so I have people around when OH is away working.

Yeah I feel like that. I know we'll get married, OH is dying to propose to me, but he wants to give me the ring I've always wanted, and with a baby coming, it's not like we're having money fights with our spare cash! We'll just wait until we can do it properly!

WHat ring do you want? Thats nice that you got your mom near you. How long is OH taking off?
Law? You wanna be a solicitor? I haven't the brains to study lol. Both times I got preg it was when least expected. 1st time we tried for 3 months and the time I found out I was a week late (miscalculated last cycle) and OH said I was a week late so took a test and he our miracle baby. Good job one of us was keeping track lol.
This time OH said he wanted another one back in Sept last year and so began to try but without knowing I was preg again I said to oh best wait for later in year as work committmentsand think best to wait but I was grouchy and checked when I was due. Found out I miscalculated again by a week lol and we did test Val weekend and when away for the weekend of val day pregnant. Over the moon. xxx

The ring I want is a cushion cut diamond with a halo. Like the Tiffany legacy... But it's more the setting that I want rather than the tiffany name. I found another jeweller that does it, but they're in new york. So we might have to take a trip over to NYC again this winter. I love it there! And it can be LO's first holiday!

We did our test the day after valentines day! We bought two cheap tests from poundland haha, just to keep in case. Then I took one in the morning, got two lines, freaked out and took the day off uni, went into town and got a clearblue digital (OH didn't trust the cheap ones), that one said 3+ weeks since conception, and the rest is guilty! Felt guilty though because OH treated me to a bottle of veuve cliquot the night before and I drank it allll!!!

Definitely won't go into law... Didn't really enjoy my degree! Got a 2:1 though so it wasn't a total waste. Think I might wait a couple of years then might do my PGCE primary with special interest in spanish, we'll see!

My feet didn't even look human last night. I was up cooking dinner, then when I went to bed they were HUGE!

It's really creeping up! So weird to think that I only have 35 days to go! I'm more excited than nervous really, just want LO to be here now!

Hey everyone

I've not been on that much and I blame it on me being so slooowww at bloody everything in daily life, I need a sit down after 15mins & after work/school pick up it takes me basically all night to do everything!

My body is absolutely aching, i've never felt this bad in last pregnancy or this one. I was in tears yesterday coz my pevis, shoulder, hips, feet were sore & everything swolen - maybe i'm doing too much, walked for 3 hours in the rain yesterday!

I'm getting soooo nervous at how quickly things are moving, i've just devoted my full wage to something & I forgot its my last wage til baby comes so i'm stuck with what OH can give me for the remaining bits, and i'm really worrying!

We have another October Mummy ladies - PrincessPeanut gave birth to her little princess in the early hours of this morning -
Isabel Jane born at 1.21am. 5lbs 11ozs on 8th Sept 2011.
Very healthy little bubba who hasn't stopped feeding! Didn't get induced in the end. Was 4cm dilated when mw checked. Hour later 6cms, then 20 mins after fully dilated and out in 3 pushes on just gas/air x x x

wow 2 early babies! im excited but Im worrying mine will come early and im not ready at all. i have nothing except 2 baby nappies (yes nappies not packs) and 2 cloth nappies ..... and im not even back in the country yet!

I feel im having so many signs of impending labour. Ive been carrying very low for over a month, 2 weekends ago my discharge changed, then i had period pains for 4 days, i had a mad nesting day on tuesday leaving me with major back ache yesterday. Ive also been very constipated for the whole of this pregnancy but have been to the toilet 6 times in the last week!

The baby feels likes its gona fall out and now ive been emotional for 2 days... and a bit moody.

my first 2 pregnancies went over due 42 weeks and 41+3 but i cant shake a feeling that this one will be early
