***** October 2015 Mummies ******

It was hr who said it unfortunately :-( they said that if they felt that my absence would be a reoccurring thing then they could force me to leave early :-/ they also said that I wouldn't know if I'm entitled to smp or maternity allowance until 12th September, I rang maternity allowance and they said that they would of known the 12th July but I've got to wait for them to send me my smp1 form xx

They cant hun. I would call maternity action and acas xx

They said that unless i do a different job I would have to leave, they wanted to put me on checkouts but physio said that because of my back I wouldn't be able to just sit there for 4/5 hours. They said if I hadn't received my smp1 form by 10th August to ring them so do you think I should wait till then?

Work have always been a bit funny with me cos I was only there for 3 weeks then broke my ankle/leg so was off for 3 months then the day I went back I told them that I was pregnant xx

Work need to give u an alternative job that's suitable, or provide you with time to take sufficient breaks, so your not sitting stagnant for 4/5hrs. Don't think they can force you to leave this early! Is there no office work or anything you could be helping with. It sounds well dodgy to me!

I've no idea what I'm measuring but I had a growth scan last Friday and he's measuring two weeks ahead and his head circumference is in the 95th percentile!!!

 eek! This is what I'm scared of! Similar position, this boy looks mahoosive! Next growth scan is on 12th August

My poor pelvis is knackered apparently according to the physio. She's given me some even sexier things to wear for support, and a pair of crutches! Arg! Supposed to be "touch weight bearing" to take pressure of R hip and pelvis, but haven't had the courage to actually use them. How the hell will that work with a toddler and my job?????

Will be great to have everyone over soon :)

That sound ridiculous! They must provide you with alternative option if you can't return to the same position after maternity!! Perhaps you would be better of at another place after your maternity ends!

first time mum - I would seek legal advice as soon as possible before agreeing to anything...do you have a union rep? Try and get hold of work maternity policies too.

Well ladies you are all LOADS more prepared than me I have a half done nursery, a moses basket, some bottles and a 3 pack of baby onsies! Aaaah I've got so much to do!

As far measurements go mines odd as I look really really huge - like 40 weeks but when tey have measured the baby on my back she is measuring bang on average. I guess I must have a water park in there again. I'll find out at 32 week scan

Well I don't know if I'm going back anyway after maternity but they are making me not want to as it is. They said u can do checkouts 8am-12pm which I wouldn't get a break so would just be sitting there the whole time, I carry on with my job which is home shopping so I'm walking around constantly for 5 hours a day getting people's shopping or I do checkouts in the evening which I can't do because I have no one to have my little girl that late.

I think if I have received my form by the 10th I'm going to ring them and I'll ring the people that you have all suggested. Thanks ladies xx

They have to pay you sick pay for spd even if you have it til birth
Theyd pay it til 35 weeks and only then onwards could they force you to begin maternity leave early
They also have to provide you with something more suitable. Have they done a risk assessment with you??

They said I don't qualify for sick pay because you don't get sick pay until you've been there a year, for statory sick pay you have to earn at least 112 a week which I don't so won't get that either.

They do risk assessments every 4 weeks but whenever I said about my back they just said they would put me on a lighter department eh bakery. But I would still be on my feet for 5 hours constantly x

You poor thing! There is nothing fun about crutches at all!

A glucose tolerence test isn't standard here in Ireland, I think I'm going to ask for one, maybe that has something to do with why I'm growing such a big baby!

I don't feel prepared at all! still have so much to do, I've a list a mile long I need to get started on... But I got paid today and the plan is to get quite a few things organised now that I have a bit of dough. It all disappears so quickly!

God! The money seems to be disappearing VERY quickly! Me and hubby agreed we won't spend a penny this month on baby stuff just to give our bank accounts a chance to recover  Anyhow the only thing we still need to buy is the isofix car base and some soft toys so we are going OK, I think x

Welcome to Tri3! Everyone must be here now :)

Just phoned for delivery date for my cot & it should be here in the next 3 week, that will make hubby happy as hes bursting my head about getting it!!

Hows everyone today? xx

I decided to come up home for the weekend
Home as in back to Scotland where i grew up
Im sat outside braehead shopping centre sobbing
I just dont feel like i belong here. It doesnt feel like home anymore
I took the day off to get up here early to spend time with a friend who has messaged me saying she doesn't want to see me cos I'm pregnant and shes feeling too guilty about an abortion she had earlier in the year
And my other best friends working apparently. Id take time off for her but doesnt seem the case for me... And i suggested i could come round and cook tea for us when shes finished but she said no cos her house is a mess from decorating
Ffs i dont care. We are meant to be best friends who see each other at our worst. Insult one another. Help ourselves to food thats in their cupboard. Borrow stuff with no intention of giving it back in a hurry...

I just wonder why I've bothered coming up...
I feel like those people who go on holiday alone... I feel very lonely
