im having 1 of those days too i think my DH has given me his cold ive got a sore throat funny nose and feel like i need to sneeze on a happier note my SIL bought me a lil pressie its a romper suit with a me to you bear dresses in a duck outfit on the front its well cute and teh only reason for buying is because it was in a duck outfit (we buy each other pressies on a duck theme for xmas haha)

Im not feeling to bad, getting tired very quickly now but dont think im any moodier than normal though. Ive decided lil one is going to be late though although im determined if i go over i want to be induced at a week over max so my husbands here. I am NOT going 2 weeks over again. So many stu[id people telling me ill go early that I started to believe them and am fed up now

Oh well 38 weeks tomorow yay

Gahh! They'd better not, I definitely don't want to be a queue jumper! I want my couple weeks maternity leave before she makes an appearance and I still have a couple of weeks left at work yet.

Isn't it quite irresponsible of midwives to be telling you you'll go early? Naughty midwives!

Midnight - I love your duck themed pressies! We have a friend who gets called Babyduck / The Duck who we get duck goodies for and it's amazing what an array of duck themed things you can get!

Pink Panther, I say whinge away at this point! Moaning is my only pregnancy joy now with not being allowed chocolate so I'm embracing the moaning.

Feel a bit better today, I went to bed early and fell to sleep more or less straight away. The sun is shining here so me and dd2 is going to do some planting in the garden.

Anyone got any nice plans for today?

Glad you're feeling better Day in the garden sounds lovely! It's quite sunny and nice here too, I'm going to take the dog out soon to get out in the sun. Also I was moaning the other day about MIL not coming to see what we got for the baby or her nursery etc so she's coming down this avo so going to get some cleaning done!

We've just been back to the hospital to have Ella weighed. She was 5lbs 9 at birth and had dropped down to 5lbs 6 when she was weighed on thu. Today she was 5 lbs 10.5 so she has gained 4.5ozs in three days and gone above her birth weight don't have to go back to hospital again either xx

That's really good news Jodie. How are you finding being a mummy? It's the night feeds I'm dreading, I don't function very well without sleep!

Pinky - the bf has been easy in some ways as Ella knows how to latch on well and it doesn't hurt at all (if it dies hurt then get someone to check your latch/babys positioning). However because Ella is prem she's not strong enough to suck hard enough for the hindmilk. This meant that my body thought we needed less milk and so my supply went right down which was v frustrating! However we've fixed that by expressing as well to trick my body into thinking more is needed and we make sure Ella has had enough by topping her up with expressed breastmilk in a bottle

PP - I love being a mummy! I was also really dreading the lack of sleep because before being pregnant I used to need 8 hours solid per night. However I'm pleasantly surprised about how good I feel on much less sleep. I reckon I've had max 4 hours/night since she was born bit I feel absolutely fine! We are generally feeding every 4 hours so if the timings right there is only really one feed in the middle of the night eg yesterday we fed at 11pm, 3am and 7am

it started with them buying us a mr and mrs duck for a joke wedding present so we took them on honeymoon and took pictures of them in various places lol so now all we buy is duck theme stuff i got them a duck bath matt and all other duck stuff but i think we need to change the theme because last xmas i got socks with ducks on and a bottle of toilet duck along with other little things i did want to buy them a real duck but my dh wouldnt let me because they would turn up with something bigger and live next year haha
