May mummies and rainbows to be :) the wait is nearly over!

My baby has been breech the whole time we thought she may be head down lady midwife appointment but that would have meant her hb was in totally the wrong place lol. It's a mystery!
Ice got a scan on Thursday and midwife at 35weeks I think.

Ouch Snowbee, that sounds painful.

I've got my 34wk midwife appt on Tuesday. I want to find out which way baby is lying now. It was presenting feet first at the last two. I've been trying to figure it out for myself but it's really difficult. I don't think it's breech because I can't feel a lump for the head at the top, but I think it might be transverse because I can feel baby just above my belly button and if I trace what I think is the outline of their back it goes across my tummy, not down. And I can't feel much baby wise lower down. I occasionally get kicks/punches in my...lady parts...but I think that's consistent with transverse baby facing downwards.
Midwife says it doesn't matter until you get to 36wks but I would prefer baby to be facing the right way so I don't have to worry about an inversion or a section. My son was head down from 31wks.

My bubs was transverse at last appointment and she said you know as you can press down on top of bump and no baby there. I also feel baby start just above belly button. I would have thought they would make plans before 36 weeks (maybe just with second, third baby's etc) as they apparently do sections earlier with transverse baby's as can't risk you going into natural labour and waters breaking etc.
I hope our bubbas move for us xx

My baby has been head down since 16 weeks so im hoping she has stayed there! Lol got growth scan and consultant wednesday, birthing plan midwife week after and normal midwife week after that lol busy busy!

So not looking forward to cooking for 9 people today lol

My baby is still spinning around. I guess it's normal at 30 weeks though.

Can someone send me a link to the online antenatal classes please? It's been a month since I sent off my form and I haven't heard a thing.

My boyfriend thinks we should do the NCT courses. Has anyone any experience?

Mine has been head down at all our appointments but then lays twisted with legs and back going across the bump rather than up it. I wondered if it was because I'm short but wide and he has more room that way.

I'm doing the online courses through inourplace . co . uk. I thought about doing nct as it is our first and I'm clueless plus people have said it is a good way to get to know people but after I looked into it more it was a huge time commitment (at a time that wasn't really suitable for me) and very expensive, so I decided not to.

My thumb hurts lol! I haven't looked at it today but I can see it has just started to bleed through the bandage so will have to investigate. I'm actually surprised it didn't hurt more in the night, as I have been waking up with tight fingers for a couple of weeks. No swelling to my wrists or ankles yet but my fingers are very slightly bigger than they were, just a tiny bit and noone else would notice it but I can tell.

I think my boyfriend likes the idea of meeting people.

I have been very windy through the night lately - it's quite embarrassing! I dreamt that I had clubbed fingers last night, and then realised it could be preeclampsia.

My lil lady has been both head down and breech at various appointments and scans. I've got MW on Monday so we'll see what position she's in now. I think she's head down at the moment as I feel her hiccups right at the bottom of my bump and there's a hard lump at the top which I think is her bottom but I don't know for sure!

I'm 33 weeks today! Can't believe she'll be fully cooked in four weeks!! Going to crack on with getting my hospital bag sorted this week and getting all her bits and pieces washed and ready. I'm still feeling a bit nervous and anxious about things but I'm also really excited to meet her and see her little face!

It sounds like this one might well be transverse then Lisey. Yes, let's hope they turn!
I'll see what the midwife says on Tuesday. The last two times baby was more in a breech/oblique position so she probably wasn't worried about transverse then.
I think I read somewhere that with your second baby they have more space to turn in and they leave it a bit later to get in position.
Plus I went to 42 wks last time before I was induced, so I don't have a history of baby arriving early.
My hospital notes say they recommend inversion around 37 wks, but I'll see what she says.

Oh I see. Is the inversion thing when they try to turn them?
I had to be induced too but I am a bit scared of the risks of waters breaking with a transverse baby. I read various things about timings of c section but most were 38 the latest but prob depends on the hospital. My little one seems very comfy but I am hoping she gets turning!! Xx

Think I'll be giving the hospital a ring in a bit. My lil miss hasn't quite been herself today - I've felt her move but no sustained sessions like she normally has. I'm not in a complete panic as she has been moving but I'm going to have some tea and then give them a ring. No doubt I'll have to go in for monitoring and no doubt as soon as I get on the monitor she'll wake up! Lol!

Cheeky bubs Emily, best to call in though, let us know how you get on xx

Well, as soon as I started eating tea she really got her wiggle on and she's still going!

I think she was in a weird position as I couldn't feel a hard lump at the top of my bump like I normally do and I can now. I can feel a hard lump at the top which I assume is her bottom and the last couple of days, I'm feeling sharp pains right down low when she moves when I'm sat down and I'm getting that now too.

She's still on the go! My whole tummy is on the move!!

I'm not too concerned now that I've had some good, strong and sustained periods of movement from her. I do have a midwife appointment tomorrow afternoon so I'll discuss it all with her and make sure I'm doing the right thing.

She's still going! :-)

I'm needing to pee loads too now as well as those low down pains. I wonder if she's starting to engage?

XX

So glad she got wriggling for you :) I have needed to wee loads too today, mine isn't engaged or even head down though!! She's a heavy little baby though so I assume it's just pressure on my bladder xx

Glad she started moving Emily. My baby did the same thing the other day. He seems to have a few days of craziness, then a day or two of rest! I was about to ring the hospital but he slowly started moving again. The last few days he doesn't seem to have slept! X

Still feeling plenty of wiggles :-)

I've obviously needed to pee quite a bit anyway, but once she started moving and I was feeling the pains I had a sudden urge to pee. I often get the sudden urge to pee when I get Braxton Hicks too.

I've got a good few questions/ things to discuss with the midwife tomorrow. One side of my vagina is really swollen and although I know you have increased blood volume in pregnancy which can make things more engorged, I don't get why it's just one side? I'm not sure whether it's a MW question or a gp question, but seeing as how I'm at MW tomorrow, I'll start there and see gp if needs be.

I feel very swollen down there too Emily. It's not sore or anything just feels puffy. Pregnancy glam at its finest :) xx

I've had a look in the mirror (lol! :-) land it's really only on one side. I've had a bartholins cyst before but this doesn't feel the same as that. I'd rather just get it checked and know it's all OK rather than sit and worry about it and whether it might impact on a normal delivery etc. I'm sure it's all fine but better to be checked and not stress.

Im 32 weeks tomorrow! 5 more weeks till my next milestone lol

Glad bubs started moving emily these babies are being naughty already!

Lunch was a success but were all so tired now lol having a bath and then straight to bed! Cant wait till sunday when hes home! Going to spend next weekend finishing my hospital bag to keep me busy and washing all babies clothes
