May mummies and rainbows to be :) the wait is nearly over!

Happy 32 weeks Snowbee.
Hope you got some rest Ery.

I've booked a hotel for a night for me and hubby when I'll be nearly 36 weeks.
Here... http://newton-hall.com/accommodation/hotel-nights/
My sis-in-law is coming up to look after my son so we can have a relaxing night together before all the chaos starts.
I hadn't thought of taking my notes and hospital bag, but I will now.

My bp has shot up :( ive got a monitor at home because ive suffered with high bp since i had my son 8 years ago its always this time it shoots up. It was 128/95 last night going to monitor it for a few days if it stays high ill have to go doctors. I really dont want to end up in hospital again witb the kids at home especially as oh is away next weekend

If in doubt you should go in nikki. High blood pressure can be concerning. If you have to go in to hospital then you have to go in, may just mean your OH has to stay close by xx

Nikki, you need to do whats right for you and the baby too - i hope it goes back down for you

feeling very teary this morning, delivery driver asked me how i was and i burst out crying oh dear lol

Yeah, no point in worrying about it Nikki. If you have to go in, it'll be for the best.

I'm starting to feel like I've been pregnant for a long time now. The house is finally changing bit by bit, but there's still a lot to do. My dad is coming to help in a couple of weeks. I'm finally back in the main bedroom and there's been a bit of sex! :o Baby's clothes have found a home and I'm starting to pack my hospital bag now too!

Ive started packing mine too well ive done babies bag yesterday and a little bit of mine i like to be organised lol

So far ive got breast pads, maternity pads, bottles of milk incase i cant breastfeed, wipes, nappies, nipple cream think thats it lol

You can get some good lists online to give you an idea

I think Ery posted a list a couple weeks back. What kind of milk are you taking? I've bought a couple of bottles.

I bought the cow and gate ready made bottles was like 7 pound for 6 tiny bottles! Our hospital dont allow formula tho

I looked in the supermarket today and they don't sell maternity pads. Are the higher absorbency regular sanitary towels good enough or do I need to order some online? How many would you recommend stocking up on for the first couple of weeks?

Glad things are going a bit better for you Dovekie.

I have started gathering things for my bag but not started packing yet.
What do you mean they don't allow formula Nikki? Do you mean they don't provide it or they are saying you can't take in your own? I would take it anyway, they can't actually tell you what to do in that respect.
I am buying the little ready made bottles as I will do some feeds in hospital but may need to bottles too. I know mine don't provide them, god help any of them if they try to tell me how best to feed MY baby. The beast will come out lol xx

Boots and mothercare do them. Larger tescos do too.
I would say you definitely need maternity pads over normal ones, as the bleeding becomes lighter, you may be able to swap to sanitary pads.
I am not sure on how many will be needed, I have two packs at the moment, I expect I will need more though xx

Basically they wont let you sterilise bottles which is why you cant take formula and have to take the ready made bottles. Ive only got 6 so hopefully im not in hospital too long lol

i was looking at the premade ones but i dont know which brand to go with...

just had my 28 week appointment, im measuring small so im off for a growth scan on wednesday to make sure he is okay, the midwife thinks it will just be because im tall - cant help but worry. heartbeat and blood pressure was all normal.

they couldnt get blood out of me either so i have plasters all over my arms where they have tried told me to ask the hospital to do it on wednesday! ive also got my consultant on wednesday and i have my private 4d scan so busy day for little bean xx

Dont worry too much yet hun the midwives measurements are so inaccurate! How far behind were you measuring? Good they are being cautious tho

i was 26cm which is below the 10th centile on my chart, im tall tho so she said that will probs be the reasoning for it.

every time ive seen the midwife they have commented on how small my bump is - just hope hes okay in there soon be wednesday :) can help but worry especially as its my first, and i dont really understand the charts :(

Aww. I hope it goes ok Leigh. Try not to worry xx How tall are you?

I'll try to get some ready made bottles then. I'm a bit confused about all of this bottle equipment, for heating and sterilising etc. I couldn't find maternity pads either. I'll try Boots.

I got maternity pads in tesco lol

Hope everything goes ok on wednesday leigh :)

My bp seems ok today which is good. Got major fanny daggers today tho and a proper waddle i wonder if shes moved down lol
