I'm still at the niggly stage.

Contractions are all over the place and not lasting for very long but they are rather sore. Sometimes there's six minutes between them and other times there's like half an hour! No sort of pattern at all and they are lasting from like five to fifteen seconds. So I've still got a ways to go but at least something is happening! Just hope it continues into proper labour.

I've got to call my MW in a minute to arrange to go in for a blood pressure check as it was raised in Thursday and triage said I need to get it checked over the weekend. Depending on what that is doing I guess will dictate what happens next. I guess if it's normal then I can just carry on myself and hopefully go into labour and if it's raised then I guess it'll be off to triage again and go from there!

Just back from MW. BP still a bit high on first reading but better on second one.

She gave me a stretch and sweep and I'm 3cms and cervix is soft and 1cm thick so things are certainly happening. Contractions have been a bit more frequent since sweep and more painful so it's just a case of waiting now!

You're similar to me Emily. I'm in the delivery suite now. They told me to rest if I can they can see I'm getting frequent contractions just not regular enough. Coz they had me in the bed I think everything has slowed down again.

midwife has just been and aria is doing fine. shes a bit jaundiced but that should go now were out of hospital. im very sore still ended up in tears this morming because i couldnt get out of bed to go for a wee. oh has to inject me once a day for 10 days with blood thinners which is horrible!

Congrats on your little girl Pebbles! (You were team yellow weren't you?) So she came out before your induction?

So you're a mammy Leigh? I'm debating about mammy or mummy. My family are all mammys (North East thing I think!), but my Mam said I should go with mummy torn!

Yes I was team yellow.
Yes I started getting contractions around 8pm last night and they were 4mins apart from the start! Rang the hospital after 45 mins who said to monitor things for the next hour and call back.
But they stayed that close together so they let me come in at 10:30. I was 5cm already! Another 3 hours in the pool with gas and air and I had my baby. I was asking for diamorphine at the end but it was too late, she was on her way out!
I'm so glad I beat my induction.

Nikki I had to have those for a week too, they made a lovely pattern on my belly, I looked like a pin cushion. G was also jaundiced, he was only signed off by the midwife at two weeks old, poor little man had to have a could of lots of blood taken for it, which he hated. He looks fine now though.

His dad took him to the pub last night to meet all his friends!
