May 2018 Mummies....Tri 2

yeah i would not be comfortable with a man like that having keys to my home... what will you do if he starts just turning up unannounced ?

I wasn't expecting him today he just turned up and said he needed to wrap pipes around boiler so I left him to faff about upstairs and in loft then after he came down stairs, usually before he comes my friend texts me or calls to check im in and not busy, when lanes finished having a shower I'll have a word with him I just know he will go nuts he's always been very protective of me he's even more protective now I'm pregnant he won't let me lift a finger or if any one looks at me wrongly I have to calm him down, we've got cameras up on house but they aren't recording at mo as he did it in summer and I mentioned it to lane then and it took effort to calm him down so I know he's guna go ape when he knows he's done it again xx

its illegal for a landlord to turn up without giving notice

oh yes. I hope the results come quickly for her

19 weeks today and i have a distinct lack of bump i've just got a bit thicker round the middle as you can see from the second pic at 16 weeks

Just for the record, i'm not normal lol! I've been like these both my previous pregnancies and people are always amazed its a bit embarrassing really. I do have a tilted uterus so it takes longer for a bump to show out the front. Even though it looks easy, when i'm more pregnant its actually incredibly painful as so much baby is squished into a tiny place. (and my babies have been pretty good sizes aswell)

I've been alot bigger this time around . I'm dreading to think what I will end up like, thank goodness baby will be out by the time it gets very hot . With Emily I only put on 1 stone through my whole pregnancy I won't be that lucky this time lol

Has anyone started buying anything yet? I don't need that much but I keep seing offers but I dare not yet until after the 20 weeks scan.

Hey all.

After an agonising 13 days waiting for the results (thanks again, Royal Mail) I am OVER THE MOON to tell you that the test came back in our favour! It’s not definitive like the placenta / amniotic sampling but the risk is showing at 0.1% which I’ll take over risking either baby with the other test any day of the week. And the false result rate of this test is 1:1600 so we feel pretty confident the babies are both clear of all the disorders tested for.

The test also determined the sex of the babies; it detects Y chromosomes. None detected so we are clearly having two little girls!

After almost two weeks of sleepless nights and tears I feel 10 years younger and like the world is off my shoulders again.

Thanks for the support and messages both on the thread and PMs. Sorry I’ve been AWOL. When I’ve had my dinner I’ll catch up properly.

Hope you’re all doing ok and thanks again xx

Oh wow CJ I am so happy for you ! That's brilliant news it's made my day ! X you can relax abit now and enjoy your pregnancy and get thinking of girls names lol

wow that's amazing news, so happy for you! I'll put your pink storks on the first page. When I had my boy, almost everyone in my month group had a boy, this time it seems almost everyone is having a girl!

i picked up a double buggy off facebook because it was a bargain £40. And a swing off gumtree, because i was regretting selling mine. I still have the moses basket from last year. I'll get clothes nearer the time but i wont get much, i bought a big bundle off someone last time and never wore half of it, so i'm going pretty minimal with clothes this time, just half a dozen of the basics like sleepsuits and vests .

I just need a breastpump, I had a tomee tippee electric one and it was terrible and I'm keeping a eye out for bargains on a highchair as the one we had was also terrible lol. We have neutral clothing and bedding so won't need anymore , that's about it. Oh and I want to get a poddle pod too.

That’s such good news CJ, must be such a weight off! And congratulations on the girlies!

It’s funny to see everyone’s bumps, they vary so much in size. I’m feeling pretty cumbersome already but that’s because I’ve put on nearly 2 stone already and that’s mostly fat. I’m now having problems with my pelvis, even walking is painful and it feels like things are grinding together, I have a GP appointment tomorrow and hoping to get a physio referral.

We haven’t bought anything yet but we’ve been given a Moses basket and a cotbed, we can’t really afford anything until after Xmas and I’m reluctant to buy much before my 20 week scan because I get so nervous about these things.

My growing bump.

5 weeks.
8 weeks.
12 weeks.
15 weeks.
