***** May 2015 Mummies to be *****

Urg I'm up too... heartburn! Whatever else :(

You're right blueeyes, sleep you'd think would be top of the list

I'm so sick of being poorly! I was never this ill while pregnant with Blake.

I'm so sorry that you two are up as well, 3:30am on a Sunday is no time to be on the forum, we should all be allowed to sleep and relax at this stage of pregnancy :brat:

Yes that's what I think would should be able to sleep while we've got the chance!

Sorry to hear you're suffering too Buttonbear

Xx

Going to need a may mummies night group at this rate haha!!

Its awful, going to be so tired now :( hope you both manage to get some sleep/feel better xx

Ohh noo I missed the night club , I'm an hour late lol.
Absolutely nothing wrong with me right now - just can't sleep!

Hope you all manage to get a nap today.

We were supposed to be going to the first BTCC race of the season today, but decided against it as wasn't sure what the weather was supposed to do, and I wasn't sure how comfy I'd be sitting in a camping chair all day. First time in about 7 years that we haven't gone!

Buttonbear- yes that's the plan if baby plays ball! Really hoping to home birth this time as planned it with my son but it didn't work out.

We also have the same due date! Fingers crossed we both get the home birth we want! :)

Morning ladies. I've been up since 8. Pretty sure im having irregular contractions. Have had a bath and the pain still there quite bad. Can't move when having them and lost lots of mucus plug. They're varying between 10-15-20 mins so definitely irregular. But it feels exactly how it started withmy son. My cervix is very crampy and the pain feels like somethings squeezing my lower back and pelvis tightly and bump goes hard with it. Would you ring the hospital? Like I say they they're irregular and im not sure if they're leading anywhere? Xxx

I'd still ring Casey, you've been feeling that way for a few days and things slowly seem to be progressing rather than stopping? Probably worth letting someone know even if they just advise you to rest/bath etc you'll feel better having had some advice xx

I'd ring caseysmummy just yo be sure and see what they say, hopefully Los stay in a bit longer for you xx

Monkeynuts thats funny we have the same due date and planning homebirth, i REALLY want to have one so hopefully we both manage it. We are planning on a water birth too, sorted pool etc... exciting!!

Yeah im going to ring if I get another contraction as they seem to have eased a lot. Maybe a false start? My oh has put me on strict bed rest today anyways. Crampiness has gone too. Just don't want them to keep me in if it's not the real thing xxx

Hope you're doing ok casey, resting day sounds good.

Just had our feeding choices class, I continue to be amazed at just how clever breastfeeding seems to be! I know it may not be easy mind but was interesting stuff and lots of info and details of available support etc.

Oh my seems everyone of use r on the same no sleeping pattern as me. Its becoming so so hard with not sleeping and working and having a toddler as well as trying to pass my driving test.

Im 34 weeks today and just cant wait for baby to be here already. Oh dear caseysmum i would phone doctors just incase r ur girls head down in birthing position? Where u not due to get sectioned? (Sorry hard to kep up with everyone on here lol)...

Both girls are head down according to last scan. Im meant to be having a section at around 36 weeks if not gone naturally by then due to the risk of the placenta failing after then as they share one. It may not fail if I was to go past then but there's still a risk. The pains have stopped completely now, so think it may have been false labour. Resting in bed seemed to help. If they come back again I will ring hospital and go in to be checked I think. Xxx

Caseysmummy, do you want to try and have them naturally or will you have a c-sec anyway? I just wondered what would happen if you did go I to labour on your own.

If I was to go into labour naturally before my csection date I would like to try to have them naturally. It scared me at first but the closer ive got the more I think I would definitely try natural as recovery would be much more straightforward and as much as it hurts once yourin labour you know there's an end and a positive at the end. There's a chance I could do both anyways as it's common once twin one is born that twin 2 has more space and turns and could end up with emergency csection anyways. Everything I've read says csection is safer but I think recently read a book written by a lady who had twins who made me see it differently and it opened my eyes regarding my options. Im not sure what would happen if I went in with natural labour though, I would hope they would let me try natural first xxx

Goodness me, Little lady seems to be trying to swim out tonight!! Feet firmly on a rib and pushing right down, talk about stingy ouchy cervix pain!! lol What is she up to in there!

Caseys-glad the pains have stopped. Regarding them "letting you" - it is completely down to you the way you choose to birth. They advise and give their opinion but at the end of the day they cannot make you do anything you don't want to. :)

Regarding chicken pox (can't remember who asked) - if you've had it before you should be absolutely fine. Just mention it to midwife if you're worried.

Getting up at night is to prepare you for baby's arrival! :) imagine what a shock it would be if we had peaceful nights sleep for 9months and then bam no sleep! We wouldn't cope. This way our bodies are doing it slowly. If you're not waking to pee then you wake to turn over or because baby is kicking too hard/in an awkward position :) so I am grateful for the waking (even if I am yawning throughout the day haha)

I am much more tired and feel like I'm complaining more this time round...so excited for May to arrive (although I do thi I'm going over I know it's not much longer)

So excited for when our babies start making appearances. :)

I've just had a period like pain for about 15min! It was so uncomfortable. (Not painful at all) glad it stopped though :) baby stopped moving for it...going mad now.
I've been having like split second very obvious painful contractions. I had the first one maybe 2 weeks ago and probably had 3 altogether. Will mention to midwife when I see her. Really not worried hoping it just means I'm in for a quicker labour :)

I'm 32weeks today! Only 8 weeks til due date. Also I like my ticker picture now :)
