***** May 2015 Mummies to be *****

I had an emergency section and I couldn't even give you a "horror story" yea it hurts but you get over that. :)

I'm actually really looking forward to the labour (I was last time too) I just want to do it all already haha

I am torn between wanting her out, and wanting to keep her in where she's all mine and I don't have to share her!

I think that's one of the main things I am worried about actually, that I won't get a look in because all the family will want to hold her and cuddle her at every opportunity. Of course I completely understand why, but still.

Yeah with that you just have to put your foot down, people just get really excited and think you need the rest etc they want to help and such. But honestly all I wanted was my baby on me, I was breastfeeding as well so lots of skin to skin and cuddles were best for us.

Tried to play catch up :s lots to read. I'm ridiculously nervous about labour, having even spoken to mw about elective c section as that I find far less scary, although I know it's major surgery and not to be seen as an easy option at all. She talked me down and made me feel a bit calmer and came up with ways to try and help me get the info and feel better. Getting there slowly. I'm finding the tea and biscuit chats after my yoga class really helpful as people talk about their experiences and things in a non scary but matter of fact way. The exposure to talk like that is helping me.

Trace this morning and hospital went really well and had lots of movement although hb was harder to keep track of I guess because she was moving about so much! OH I think enjoyed it and had the sound of the hb in his head for ages after and was kind of singing it haha x

I cannot wait to give birth, I'm so fed up of this pregnancy!! I know that is awful thing to say, but I'm so fed up. On the other hand I have nothing ready don't really know what I need or what I'm doing, and my mum is not around to help or ask, so feel quite alone ( I know I'm not ) but with everything that has happened in the last year have really missed my mum!

Ah, flosi :( what do you need to sort out before the baby's arrival?

Everything for the nursery and got no clothes, need to pack a hospital bag. All little things I guess but feel like mountain to me.
Just feel lost I think xx

Sorry for the woe is me rant

Flosi - I'm getting there slowly with sorting thjngs but it takes time. A list helped me focus, I just pick something and go for it. I will say Im also really missing my mum, I always do, but especially these last few months. X

Flosi look put for a baby sale / NCT type hing near you! They're fab honestly you'd come away with everything you need xx

Just had the first half of the labour antenatal class - next week is about the actual pushing and pain relief etc.

It was actually reassuring to get the info rather than scary. Got loads of hand outs to read through tomorrow too. Also got the health visitor coming - no idea what they do before baby is here but I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Flosi, it takes time, but honestly - don't worry. My friend was in the hospital when all her baby stuff was arriving at home!!! Everything was soooo last minute! Her MIL had to go and buy her "maternity bag" items!!! My friend managed fine. So don't worry, not everyone gets ready for the baby months in advance :)

Thanks guys! I'm sure everything will be fine and my OH is amazing, and as always will help me and make sure I am ok.
Just a bad case of being over tired and grumpy. But only 12 days left of work and then I can relax a little x

12 days? That's amazing!!!! I am jealous :( I still have 7 weeks left!!!! Chin up. You can do all the preparation when you finish work, stress free!

Caseysmummy. Hope everything is alright x

Her profile says she was online at 4.06am today, I hope she's ok x

I've had a bad night, baby was very active and I was too hot. I kept waking up uncovered and after going to the toilet at 5am there was no chance of more sleep :(
