*** march 2015 mummys to be ***

Me three! Hope you have your bundles ladies :) xx

I.love i'm not sure about the bleeding, I know baby gets Vit k..not sure about mums though. Spinsugar its an iron infusion, have to say I am really scared of having a reaction to it. I keep telling myself this will be better than if I have a nasty bleed at birth. I'm just not the hospital type and usually avoid anything to do with then if I can! xx

Hope tomorrow goes well for you Demaris keep us updated!
Watching out the other threads and Chrissies... Can't see any updates as yet. I've had proper period pains late this evening. The odd few every now and then. Have just got in to bed so hoping they ease off. I hope he stays in there a little longer as there is a house we are desperate to look at and may offer on this Saturday lol!! Stupid open days on houses want people to go into bidding wars. We have pretty much given up on the house we love, it's been nearly 7 months and thy have still not found anywhere to move to. Ridiculous! Soooo desperate to move now...... But eeeek so exciting if bubba came early lol xx

Ahhh I cant sleep... pregnancy insomnia is not fun

Demaris hope all goes Ok. Iron infusions are ALWAYS started at a really slow rate for the first 30 - 60 mins for that reason - if you are going to react it happens quickly. That's why iron infusions are a bugger to calculate! ! Please try not to worry xx

Sarah isn't buying and selling such a freaking nightmare. The markets crazy at the mo. We've just resubmitted planning permission to extend parents house for us to move in but if it falls through we need to look at moving next year. Have a 2 bed flat with no parking nearby in the city. Sadly can't afford to move far. A 3 bed terrace slightly out of town is 250k so we're a bit limited :(

How is everyone doing? I'm finally doing my hospital bag list. What's everyone taking for snacks? X

Just been looking back to catch up. Hoping Rhonda and Chrissie are getting some cuddles by now!!! Starting to get real close for us all now!!!!
I think a facebook group would be fab. Are any of you friends on facebook?! I only know you girlies on here!!!

Hope Rhonda and chrissie are doing ok.

Exciting times Sarah looking at a house and some period pain niggles. I hope you get the house or the baby this weekend! Hehe! I remember what the whole moving process is like, although around here -bristol area, the housing market is beginning to slow and prices are dropping compared with the summer.

Demaris hope your iron infusion goes well, I'm sure you will feel like a new women soon after!

Sorry your couldn't sleep ttc. It gets really annoying when you just can't drop off doesn't it, makes for a long day.

I've got antenatal group this morning, midwive session this afternoon. I'm pretty sure baby has dropped into my pelvis now- in the last week I have been noticeably more comfortable with my tummy and can now eat properly, I feel hungry and the reflux has really settled. This happened in my first pregnancy 2 weeks before baby came so fingers crossed he or she is making his descent! Either way i would rather be having the wee wee stops frequently than having baby pushed up on my stomach!

Snacks for my bag I have oat cereal bars and some hobnobs.....I didn't have snacks in my previous labour as was too quick and I felt nauseous, but afterwards I was ravenous, I think I'll get some chedders to go in to as I wanted savoury too. Bit difficult to put in something healthy, filling but non perishable!

Hope you have a good day guys, x

Demaris all I know is that they offer vitamin K to mothers with obstetric cholestasis as they have a risk of heavy bleeding after labour. But maybe it's something OC-specific. I'm sure they would tell you if you needed it. Good luck with the infusion!! X

Hoping for an update from Rhonda and Chrissie soon!

Good luck Demaris, you'll be fine :)
I had some period type pain niggles last night too Sarah, exciting! I do doubt my LO will get a wiggle on though, he probably likes his bed too much like his mum and dad lol.
Ooh Tiggy didn't know you lived Bristol way :) I live Wiltshire way, towards Chippenham.
For snacks for hospital bags I was just thinking biscuits, cereal bars and crisps for my OH. Also going to get a pack of water bottles and might put some in the freezer if I can remember lol xxx

Period-like pains... Eek, girls, this is exciting! I know it doesn't mean you are going into labour right now, but it definitely shows that things are progressing. It's all getting so scarily real!

I have an appointment with my MW today, and already have a huge list of things to discuss... I hurt in many places and in many different ways (wrote a separate post in Tri-3 about one of the problems I currently have), I feel like I'm falling apart! :-/

I keep thinking about Allthingsgirly... I so hope she is OK :(

Morning ladies!

Ttc the insomnia is bad isn't it! Mine has improved recently and I'm actually getting my best sleep after hubby goes to work as he isn't there snoring!

My baby has definitely moved down, not sure that you could tell from bump I'll have to take a pic and compare but he certainly feels like he isn't pressing down now and I've been gettin a lot of lower back pain. Just ordered some 'labour' massage oil with lavender and clary sage which mw said are potential aids to bring on labour! Pram still not arrived yet though so no car seat! He needs to hang in there at least till we get that!

Snacks wise I've got some cereal bars in, that is all at the mo but I always have some fruit in the house so will just grab whatever is there too. A woman from my Aqua natal suggested a sports drink so I have a couple of bottles of lucozade sport in as if it's a long labour you need to keep sugar levels up.

Rachel, a fb group would be great...you offering to start it??

Didn't post all my post!

I also said if anyone wants to add me on fb I'm Nikki Cannon

And hope today is ok demaris! X

Hey ladies

I hope your all keeping well!

I'm eagerly awaiting a post from Chrissie or Rhonda!

Nik-absolutely I can start one! I'll let you ladies know once I've done it! Out this afternoon but will get my tech hat on once I'm back :-) xx

Facebook group sounds fab!

Ah yes this house malarky is pants! Wow 3 bed for 250K that is cheap compared to where i am. I don't know where abouts you all are but where i am in surrey a 2 bedroom house is between £350,000 - £400,000 at the moment! Doesn't it make you sick. I would be prepared to move further out but for child care and work etc it doesn't make sense. Well this house on Saturday is an open day so wish me luck as i love it, and i kinda believe its a bit of fate as this could be the third time lucky house we go for..... then again i am not getting in to a bidding war.

I hope all your appointments go well today. I had the worst nights sleep ever i ended up on the sofa practically sitting up right in my dressing gown. Woke up baking hot with my cat on my lap lol. She is like a mini heater! I am just waiting for my DPD driver to arrive with my bouncy ball and then im going to get bouncing and turn this baby around haha.

So far the only food i have packed in my hospital bag is bread sticks. I need more ideas, i don't even eat bread sticks lol and those oat bar things give me major heartburn at the moment xxx

This was my favourite snack in last pregnancy: http://forestfeast.com/product/cavendish-banana/

They are sweet and nutritious and well I just love them :) I have 1 pack in my hospital bag already, and 3 more for those breastfeeding sessions at night.

Apart from that I also have a chocolate orange, some biscuits and some lucozade drinks. I am toying with an idea of having ham in the fridge on a standby, and maybe making some sandwiches when the time comes. Heard that if you give birth at night, you will be starving and will have to wait until breakfast to have some food. I personally can't remember being hungry - probably too high on G&A :)

What about nuts and dried fruit as a snack? They are filling and a bit healthier?

My last labour was during the afternoon and I delivered at 18.15pm I had only had two slices of toast in the morning and was starving post delivery. I got two slices of toast afterwards and then had to wait to breakfast, I was ravenous and needed a four course meal....... I remember munching through about four cereal bars, a packet of cheese straws and a tub of Pringles during the night after labour! I'm sure I peed all the other ladies off with all the rustling and munching I was doing in the middle of the night whilst they were all trying to sleep!

tiggy gosh! I think I definitely should do the sandwich thing...

Haha but would you be able to make a sanwich in early labour? And if you had it made ahead it wouldn't be fresh! One of the reasons I'm having a homebirth! Dominoes pizza delivery for me if I can or if not we have loads of freezer meals we can defrost and eat!
