*** march 2015 mummys to be ***

Here's me last Sunday at 27+2! Bumps starting to go round rather than pointy!

That's a lovely bump GF. Mine looks hugely sticky out rounded compared to you both lol. Tonight was the first night my OH had his hand on my belly and felt him proper kicking away. Really nice feeling :) xx

Looking good ladies!
Sarah it's a lovely feeling! My wee rascal usually hides when hubby has a feel but he has felt a few big strong kicks now!

That's exactly the same as mine!! Every time I say he's moving quick feel to OH, he always stops. I think he's playing games :). I think its been about 2 weeks of me getting him to see if he can feel, finally paid off today.
I still can't believe we are all moving into tri3. I'm still trying to think of a boys name we both like, 2 months I have been thinking so far and am no closer to finding one I love lol xx

Aww thanks Sarah! Its defiantly rounding out now!! I feel huge- my bump hurts so much I feel so stretched, I have no idea how I can get any bigger!
My OH gets so freaked out when she kicks him, he thinks it's so weird!

I've had a constant stitch since last night- it's so painful. Can't wait to see my midwife tomorrow!!

3D scan on Saturday! Eeeeeek! So excited! Xxx

Hi ladies,

Had my 28w appointment today with the midwife. I'm measuring very big and above the 95th percentile. She said it's nothing to worry about and I might just have a big bump but it's still got me paranoid. I feel like I'm going to have an enormous baby and it's making me anxious lol...
She also said he's head down but that can change so it's not important at this stage and he has a lovely strong heartbeat. My next appointment is at 34 weeks to discuss the birth so I'm taking my partner with me to that one. I can't believe we're getting close to that stage already!

I had a right giggle this evening because my partner is away my friend came over to watch a film and we had a cheeky take away and about half an hour after dinner Waffle started kicking away like mad so my friend had her hands round my belly and every time she poked him he kicked back lol! It went on for at least 20 minutes, it's the most active he's been when someone else has been around to witness it so far. We both couldn't stop laughing, it was really lovely.
I'm trying to get to sleep now but I'm so used to being with my OH that I can't sleep if he's not here, so it's going to be a difficult night for me.

Hope you're all keeping well! It'll be nice when the other March mummies join us and the chatter gets going properly again :)

I'm sneaking in a few days early I will be 27 weeks/ Tri3 on Sunday…. Just was saying hi and checking in all going along pretty nicely for me, starting to get the urge to nest and we are moving the kids bedrooms around to make room for baby and I am just itching to do it even though we can't really do it until our daughters bed gets delivered early Jan (she is still in a cot) Hubby just shakes his head when he comes home to yet more bin bags and stuff for the charity shop by the front door :)

Got my first rib shot today! At first I couldn't work out what it was but soon figured it out. Not looking forward to more of those as he gets bigger!

Hope everyone has had a good day! I'm exhausted and ready for bed already! X

Hi all. Just thought I'd come and see how the other half live. I'll be joining you on Sunday. Hope everyone is doing ok xx

I have my glucose tolerance test tomorrow and I'm petrified please can someone tell me what to expect ? I mostly worried about the results but not a fan of needles either :(

Missbx it's nothing to worry about. You have a normal blood test and then they give you a drink of lucozade to have over ten minutes. Then give you a time to go back after 2 hours. They don't like you to be too active in this time as it can impair results so take a book or something to pass the time. Then after 2 hours they do a repeat blood test and you can go. The glucose in your blood should be below a certain amount after the lucozade. If it isn't they diagnose you with GD.

If you do have GD then you will be shown how to test your own blood sugar before and after meals. Then you will see a dietician who will explain the best way to eat to keep it in control. It can be hard to get to grips with the diet but they are there to help you. I went back after a week and a half. I had a few high readings during that time but as they weren't too high they continued with the diet. If you find that you cannot physically do anything else to keep the levels low and you are still getting high readings then they will try you with metformin. If that doesn't work they will give you insulin.

My GD is diet controlled and while it took me a while to get the hang of it im doing very well at the moment.

You won't find out the results tomorrow but when you do if you are diagnosed with GD and want some advice then feel free to let me know.

Please don't worry about it tho. I know you don't like needles but it's nothing more than a standard blood test and if you do have GD it can be controlled. Hope this helps xxx

Hi all,
Don't check in often enough on here :).
How's everyone been? Any more appointments? I just had my first meeting with my Health Visitor. She was very nice and gave me so much info.. I think about a weeks worth of reading!!!! Also got my red book :). She suggested copying my pregnancy notes as well if I wanted to keep a copy nearer the time. 28 week midwife app next week. Eeek then it's Christmas!! Doing my last bit of Christmas shopping this weekend.
Is anyone suffering backache and got some remedies to help? I am seriously suffering! Sitting on a chair all day at work isn't doing me any favours so I keep having to go for walks. Have tried all the back supports and they aren't helping either :(. My sofa is not providing me comfort... I just want to lye in bed all day. Just have to keep reminding myself only about 8 more weeks at work xx

Having a 4D scan done this morning! So excited!! Xxxxx

My GTT went well I should know the results in a couple of days :)

Enjoy your 4D scan GF91 I had one done a few weeks ago it was amazing :)
