**** June & July 2013 Mummies and Babies ****

I've just been out and brought loads of shorts - all 12-18mth so hoping he'll be able to wear them lots. So much easier to dress them in the summer! The weather today makes me think back to the heatwave last yr and my tiny baba! x

:) she hasn't done it again, but I'm so glad we both were here to see that!
Dh is away abroad a lot just now.

CR seems to be cutting down on her morning nap. 2 days running she's not had it.
Normally by tennish she is desperate for her bed! Anyone else had naps dropped?
This sounds bad, but I loved that time in the morning. Sometimes she had an hour and on the odd occasion 3 hours! It's one pm and she's showing no sign of tiring lol me on the other hand.........

We are still on two naps a day, he can have between an hour & 3 hours in the morning, then has between 30mins and 90 mins in the afternoon.

Doesn't sound bad atall! It's nice to have a break isn't it haha x

We're still on 2! Rosie normally gets up between 7-7:30 and morning nap is about 10, afternoon nap around 3, both for roughly 1hr each! Xx

How's CR's walking coming on?? Any more steps?? Xx

She manages a couple then she goes back down lol
Dh is in France so I hope she dosent walk while he is out there, I would love it if he is home when she properly walks.
Xx

Oh and she finally went for an hour and a half at 2pm!
Looks like another change in routine. I really enjoyed my morning break too haha xx

Yes I have to admit ill be upset when Rosie drops her morning nap cos that's when I catch up on my tv and have a cuppa! Although I tell my oh I'm doing housework! Xx

We're on 2 naps here still as well. Long may it continue! A long morning nap roughly 2 hours and an afternoon nap that can be anything up to an hour.

Our routine has been going through a transition phase the past month or so and his sleep at night had been quite disturbed. He was waking at odd times really upset for up to 2 hours! I think due to teething but also down to us taking him off his reflux meds (omeprezole). Thought we'd see how he was without it and the answer is - bad! Never mind, started giving him it again in Sunday and he's improved loads and started sleeping better. Actually slept his longest stretch ever last night - 7.15pm til 7.15am! Hoping it's not a one off. He's been waking at half 5 so this is a huge improvement. Fingers crossed.

He seems to have gone right off his morning porridge though, anyone had this? He'll eat his crumpet so he's still hungry. What I've started doing is getting up, , taking him downstairs for a play, making a 7oz bottle and using 3oz for his porridge (or weetabix now). Then when he's ready for his morning nap I give him the other 4oz. This is the only way I can get him to take milk in the morning now. I was thinking of dropping his morning bottle altogether but will keep doing this til he's one. Then it'll just be a night time bottle. Can't believe we're at this stage! From like 7 bottles a day! The end is in sight!

He's started walking using his push along walker so that's exciting. And can cruise along the sofa holding on. Seems like he changes every day! It's a lovely stage this, although hard to keep up with all the changes!

We are mostly still on 2 naps a day. Morning one can be a hit or miss though. On a good day is an hour and on a bad day no morning nap!! Afternoon normally between 1.30 and 2 for 2 hours. X

I've got one that's gone off porridge too! I let him eat half his crumpet/toast then start sneaking mouthfuls of porridge in too until he's had enough then it's back to crumpet/ toast.

Yep, we went off porridge about 2/3 month ago. Tried porridge, weetabix, ready brek etc and he won't have non of it.
So now we mix it up a bit on a morning, we do a mix of toast or bagels or crumpet or pancakes with a fruit pot and fruit and he has this about 1 hour after a 7oz bottle and he seems fine.
xx

Rosie has stages where she's a right fussy madam with milk and food? Then she will completely do a 180 and be a greedy guzzler! Today she has only drank 7oz, she's being so annoying xxx

My wee man is still not a proper food eater. Hes getting far better but still prefers his milk. Hes eating 3 meals a day in my eyes but a meal can be a small yoghurt. Hes still on 4 bottles a day. Not a thing is put in his mouth himself be that a toy or a spoon etc. Hes never done it. He goes through phases of taking a lot more then back to not so much. Im resigning myself to the fact he will just get there when hes ready.

So ladies who is the first one in this thread that's going to have a 1 year old?

We were having a bit of a nightmare deciding what to do on Josh's birthday as grandparents want to see him but we thought we'd go to the zoo for the day - we decided in the end they could pop round in the morning for breakfast and presents then we'd go out just the 3 of us. Haven't told them this yet... We are having a party on the Saturday so they obviously get to see him then for more celebrations too. So difficult to keep everyone happy! xxx

Hey Becky!! R's birthday isnt until the 26th. Wonder whose first??

We were at our first '1st birthday party' yesterday and it was lovely. Group of 8 of us who all met at a First Time mums' group have babies all born within 2 months of each other were all there. Chaotic but fun!! We literally have a 1st Birthday party every weekend till July!😝

Weve ordered the cake and bought a bouncy castle from Asda and were going for a BBQ/Garden party so heres hoping its good weather. Im going to just pit out all the toys and mats etc and let the wee ones roll around and crawl etc. Were having the party on a Sat and on his actual birthday we have a cake smash photo shoot in the morning then spending the day just the 3 of us. Night time for close family. Cant believe that a year has passed!
