Lucy - That looks fab, shame DS wont eat anything 'cheesy' (unless its pizza and then the cheese HAS to be under pepperoni - not on top!)

Will make a list of foods to batch cook and get all the ingredients and start cooking it all next week.

Has anyone started a sweep stake at work/with family on when they think the baby will come, the weight and gender (for those who didn't find out)? OH started one at work and his colleagues have suggested that if they get three out of three then they get to name the child (tongue in cheek of course!) :D Or if LO arrives on Eurovision night (BIG Eurovision fans here!) then we should name it after the winner...LOL

Just back from the midwifes - Baby is now 2/5s engaged and head is unlikely to pop back out of my pelvis! MW said its not uncommon for those that have had children previously to go into labour prior to baby being fully engaged - I know I'm getting my hopes up but would love baby to arrive within the next three weeks!

Had a lovely dream last night where I gave birth to a gorgeous little boy (although big!) who I breast fed perfectly the first time I tried - Was sad to wake up without a baby this morning...

Anyone else getting those types of dreams yet?

x

Yes I've had exactly the same dream Pismo! It was a while ago but I think it is what helped me transition my mind for trying to BF.

Glad baby's head is engaged. I am looking forward to the day I'm told that too though I know FTM's babies can be engaged for a while! x

Aw Pismo, thats great news! Did u feel that baby was engaged? Im so jealous lol x

Nah, not really... I've always carried fairly low (haven't noticed any drop) but I have felt more pressure on my bladder these last few days - Even when I know its totally empty.

Still expecting to go over. I'll be evicting this baby at 42weeks probably :)

Hi girls! Aw that is good news Pismo. Bless about the dream - I am getting so so excited to meet my little baby too but not really had any dreams like that as such!

Got my new car this afternoon!! Woohoo it feels so good to drive, love it. And much bigger than my mini - Tho was hard saying goodbye!

How is everyone's backs doing? Mine is aching so bad now. I actually can't stand for more than 10 mins without needing to bend over. Feel like a 90 year old woman! And God knows how I will feel when baby is engaged! Wee head is sitting either to left or right of my pelvis most the time now. But isn't going properly in that often.

Just noticed your fully cooked!! How exciting :). Happy new car day too!

My blood pressure must be out of this world today. I will save you the details but we live in a small holding type situation with 4 other households and our next door neighbours are the neighbours from hell. They've been harassing me for weeks about something and sent a really rude email today so I gave it to DH to deal with and he's about to blow a gasket. Really he should have stepped in sooner but never mind. I was red with fury for a good 2 hours today and don't know how I'll cope on mat leave when I'm home alone for the day as they don't work and we don't have a proper garden fence (not allowed in deeds) so I'll be forced to see them every day arrggh!! x

Yay! Congrats on the new car coletteypie... Its strange to drive a new car for the first time. Always scare I might crash it/scrape alloys. Have you tried getting the pram in the boot yet?

Belfa - Argh, feel your pain. Not quite the same but our landlady treats our garden as an extension of her own and just keeps the gates open ALLLL the time. Have warned DS on many occasion that if he goes out to play she may catch him and turn him into pies. Needless to say, none of us spend much time out there. What is your dispute about belfa? If you don't mind me asking that is! Hopefully they will back off, not very nice of them to pester a pregnant lady.

Eek I have a mini- hoping its not too much of a pain getting baby and car seat in and out!!

I don't tend to post in here but could do with some advice. I'm 35+5 weeks pregnant with my second but the last few days I've felt sick, extremely tired, headachey and dizzy. I have dipped my urine which had signs of infection and protein and I took my BP which was 126/80 so not terribly high but its usually 100/60. Do you think its worth me ringing the midwife or should I wait until my appointment on Friday? Baby is moving fine and the movements are definitely lower down in my pelvis area. I just don't want to make a fuss over nothing but don't want to ignore anything either!

Hi Kelly :). I think if you're not feeling well in the morning then give your MW a call (unless you can do it tonight?). It could be that she says she'll see you at your appointment but you never know what the symptoms could be.

Pismo they have pretty much fallen out with everyone as they have been here the longest so think they own the place ;). With us though its historical, they nearly tried to take legal action against us over an access road we share ownership of - it's overgrown and flooded most of the time so we suggested resurfacing, they went mental and blocked our access to it until we legally promised not to...

Anyway this time they don't like the location of my horses shelter (which is moveable and I said, to keep them happy, that's we'd move it). Haven't been able to move it as can't get a farmer to help and they told me the council had been up and said I was causing rats (this lead to emotional blackmail about dogs getting a hold of the poisoned carcasses). I've never seen a rat here so called the council today after the last email to get the report and turns out they lied and they've not been out - the last time they were was before our time and it was actually to sort an infestation my neighbours had started.

Sorry to waffle on. I tried to keep that as short as I can but I'm sure you get the idea that it's very petty but stressful all the same!!!x

OMG Belfa... It sounds like something off the nightmare neighbours program that I occasionally catch on tv. It must be awful for you to live in such proximity to people like that. I also hate when people lie about things to get their own way... Makes my blood boil just reading about it! I doubt it'll be so easily fixed but I hope you manage to get some peace from them. They sound like horrid people though!

Kelly, I'm sure its nothing but to be on the safe side just make a quick call, explain your symptoms and see what your MW says. No harm in a quick call. Hope you start to feel better soon though.

x

It is just like that programme Pismo!! My husband can stand up for himself whereas I can't so I get all this hassle and they're as sweet as pie to him and offer to help in the garden to him etc! Luckily I have written evidence of their lies now. Think I'll leave it a couple of days and get DH to send an email to say that if they have anything to say they come and say it to him and leave me alone to get on with having a baby!x

Coughing so much during the night while pregnant is not fun. Definately need to do more pelvic floor exercises unless I want to have my legs crossed all the time, lol.

Lools like it might be ramping up for a few of the May mummies. How are all you lovely ladies this morning? X

Babyscotcher. I see what you mean about the May thread, it's gone crazy hasn't it...that'll be us in no time.

Belfa your neighbours sound a nightmare, you defo don't need that right now.

36 weeks today, eek... Time is going so fast now. Baby was moving like crazy last night, biggest moves yet I reckon.

I need to do more pelvic floor exercises too. I already have an odd small accident when I sneeze/cough, after another big baby I'll need to wear nappies!

Been having some quite bad crampy pains, very irregular though, and suffering with back aches and pains. Going for 3 or 4 wee's in the night too as I'm sure baby must have moved down and is squashing my bladder more. Plus they wake up for Boxercise between 4-5am so I struggle to sleep during that time! Thankfully daughter has been staying in bed a bit later the last couple of days.

Seeing MW on Friday, hopefully book my sweep for when I'm 39 weeks, probably at 39+3 though as you can only see her on a Friday!

Hoping to have DD's room finished this weekend, can't wait to build the wardrobe so I can sort everyone's clothes and things, including the baby's!

Oh no, I hate the old pelvic floor too, the other day had to change undies 3 times just from sneezing catching me out.

Hope the cramps aren't too bad buggy.

For a start I've ordered this for our cot., slowly finding bits to spruce it up. There really isn't much out there...but this will match our jungle/safari theme, also ordered this elephant door stop as the nursery door keeps hitting our chest of drawers so got this little guy too...
