****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

Its not to treat thrush just to help prevebt jt apparantly. Well it helped my burning yday and its not been back! Im not even sure it is thursh you know, sometimes if i dont drink enough i get the bunry feeling... But went on for like days but has stopped dont wanna take stuff fot it if i dony have it and dont want th swabs ahaha.

Shan, i thought about that the other day ... Aftet watching a zombie film, like woule i just let her be eaten. Lmfao random things to make you feel sad ahaa.

Glad you managed to get a decent sleep laura.
Dd had decuded to wake up at 6am everyday. Was 8 then 7 now 6. Shes preparing me for a newborn slowly aha.

I get that too! If I haven't drank much water that day (and I'm terrible for forgetting to eat and drink) then I get this burning sensation as if its the start of a UTI but then if I drink lots within a few hours its gone again. I spoke to a MW about it at one of my hospital appointments and she advised me that its actually a normal part of pregnancy for some women? I had been having it on and off and all my urinalysis's came back perfect so there was definitely no infection

I feel like my own body is preparing me for a newborn, I can't sleep a whole night and I wake up at the crack of dawn haha that's really kind of your DD to help you out like that haha xx

I ALSO REFUSE TO BUY ANOTHER COAT. this winter is just ridiculous. Mine won't do up anymore and hasn't been doing up for a couple of months but it's like hello people, where is spring? We're in Leeds and have been hit so bad with snow the last few weeks.

I think that's why baby feels so far away! Is like... He's due in the height of summer for goodness sake and it's still Siberian... So it must be ages away...

Going to see my pregnant sister in Australia in a couple of weeks, she's like, pack some warm clothes cuz it's really getting cold here now. Cold = highs of 28 and lows of 17.... I'm trying to explain to her why I'll be packing my swimmers, and summer clothes.

haha bring one or two warm things tho just incase as I fell into that trap in India. Because the humidity and the heat is different over there I was like what the hell ill never be cold at 22-26 degrees- omg i was soooo cold haha it was freezing and I ended up living the whole week in a hoodie with a thick blanket shuffling about like i was homeless

Im actually ready to headbutt my mother today. I just about put up with her shit before and now that i have all my pregnancy hormones shes the last thing I can deal with. She just had a tantrum about the age old laundry saga. Cuz we are living with her ive been asking her to let us do our own laundry but she insists that no she will do it, then she COMPLAINS 24/7 about the extra laundry...okay so LET US DO IT??! lol but no, then she'd have one less thing to lord over us

Some of these nightmares sound awful. Glad you've slept well though Laura

Speaking of coats, I love coats! I've got quite a few, all with purposes though haha. I've got a lovely green barbour shooting coat which tends to be my go to winter coat but I've had to buy a size 12 coat, as of three weeks ago I couldn't do the barbour up so bought a pretty rust coloured duffle coat. I've also been eyeing up a quilted/padded yellow coat I really want but husband has said I can't even consider it until after the baby is born. He went to go outdoor's yesterday for a new soft shell for the farm and I was gutted he didn't take me. I need a new work coat to bit as he says it'll be a long time until I'm working properly again.

Laura I swear our mums could be related, my mum I's always complaining about how independent I am and how she could help do xyz but then when I let her do something complains about how much she has on and she should have relaxing at her age

Our first lambs of 2018 came yesterday!

Hi Ladies,

Just popping in for a catch up.

Looks like you are all doing well, Shan hope everything is ok with you now.

I've become addicted to hummus with carrott and cucumber sticks for my lunch, oh and a wholemeal pitta, can't get enough of it!! Hope I am not eating too much thou.

Baby was really active last week, but not as much this week, I have felt him every day thou so I am not too concerned.

Looks like we are doing bump pics, so here is mine I have just taken it at work 22+3!!

xx

Very defined bump you have there Sarah, lovely. At least your craving something decent enough lol. Thanks hun yes I think I'm okay now, midwife on Friday so I'll be trying to sort out my issues with them xx

JaneyJan I'm the same about the coat I refuse. I have loads of them but none to fit over me nice enough. Cheapest maternity coat I've found was £40 and I really refuse when it's almost flipping summer!! OH is just like what's the big deal buy one. No! Lol. Enjoy Australia what a lovely holiday before baby, though I don't envy you with that travelling lol xx

Shep aw how lovely poor lambs must be wondering what the hell season it is lol. Xx

I think I'm going to struggling with the sleep thing to be honest. Dd is four now so we've had a long time of full nights sleep in general. And she always was a good sleeper. I'm going to get shock having a newborn again. At least it's the summer holiday so we can all get into a routine though

Oh is delighted with me today. I wanted a big expensive corner sofa and I've went and shrunk ALL of the cushions in the tumble dryer. State of him trying to get them in before he went to work. Half are in half aren't so duh to me

Laura, Shep...that's the MIL too...hence me never letting her do anything. Every now and then, I tactically allow her to help, but only so that I have two years of, "last time I let you help you broke the hob and complained for the rest of the year" up my sleeve to stop her banging on about it, lol.

it is madly infuriating isn't it? my mum insists on doing things or just goes ahead and does them without speaking to you then throws them in your face as such a chore and how we shouldn't be putting that responsibility on her.

She keeps buying things for the baby and we have told her time and time again to STOP cuz she's buying toys for like 3+ which is really not necessary. Then she complained that she's broke!?!? Then stop buying toys !? haha the baby isn't even born yet and won't even be able to use them for THREE FREAKING YEARS haha xx

GG that's ingenious haha I wish I could do that but unfortunately with living in her house right now she's managed to basically interfere and creep into every aspect of our lives. She keeps opening my post, if I get a parcel delivered she demands to know what is inside and if I don't tell her has the biggest tantrum of her life. She prys and questions my husband constantly when I am at work and he is home to try get information out of him, then tries to use anything he tells her to start rows between me and him! She constantly tries to start problems between us and will take anything we say and twist it and tell the other something completely wrong and different. We have a pact that we will always hear the other one out before making assumptions that what mum has said is correct cuz at the beginning it caused so many fights :( x

Omg laura i couldnt deal with that. As for the parcels, what if you orderd something personal... When i was 18 my mum was moving away to a 2 bed house so i had to find somewhere for me to live, mil said i could move in with them, but nope... If i did i wouldnt have a relationship she holds everything over you!! I said to hubby bk then that i was looking for hostels outside of west mids cos i had nowhere else. So he decided to move out ans we got our own place. Anyways when hubby was still a kid she used to go off on one saying she pays for everything (she didnt work, fil did) and she was fed up of it, so hubby startes leaving money when he was a child even though she got child tax/benefits for them. Thats why were gonna be so different with our kids. Seriously idk what some parents think... Not kids anymore, trying to lord it over.

heres my bump pics, 23 weeks in the blue jeans 26 weeks (today, I'm 26 plus 1 my ticker is slightly out) in the black, I don't see much difference, if anything id say I look smaller now haha

Shep you look fab hun, beautiful bump! I think it looks a little more "out" in the 2nd pic but definitely a very neat bump there. 26 +1 oh my goodness feels like yesterday you were the first one in the 2nd tri thread! Xx

Laura oh no I couldn't be dealing with that at all. I have a daughter and I just don't get mums who do that. Mine isn't much better but thankfully were countries apart. Imagine wanting to know what's in your parcels, no need at all. I'd order some stuff from lovehoney for her to nosey at lol maybe that will make her give your head peace xx

Anyone mind me making up the Tri 3 thread since some of us are getting very close? (looking at you Shep Lol with your 5 days away )

Heres my huge fkinf belly compared to everyone... Heh still ages off what i was with dd at the end think at the end this time ill be same size. Kinda more worried about GD now cos my belly was so big cosa extra fluid casued by GD. Ugh will have to wait and see though.

Ahh all these bump pics you all look so lovely!!! I feel absolutely humungous compared to all of you though! Although I don't particularly mind because I read that being bigger I would hardly get a bump at all and I definitely have one, albeit a huge one, but a bump either way haha!

Anyone else feel weird movements other than kicks? It feels like baby is scratching me or something on the inside, really don't like it and it like echoes all through me! Plus depending on where he is depends on what I feel, sometimes I feel like he's actually going to crawl out of my vagina hahaha what on earth!!

Anyway looking for a bit of reassurance, I keep getting period like cramping and I'm not sure what it is.. Wondered if its my uterus growing again? But read about preterm labour starting like that (genuinely don't think it's that) but the cramping Omg it's horrible x

Jem cramping is just growing pain. Probably get it alot till the end now. I usually get it in the morning. :)

Could be Braxton hicks contractions as well Jem. Not unusual to have them now xx

Ah cool thought it would be nothing exciting haha. I had to rearrange midwife appointment yesterday cos of snow, so seeing midwife Thursday will mention it anyway x

PB you look great, you have a beautiful bump going on! I hope you don't have gd. But if you do I'm sure they'll manage it well. Despite being a pain I'm sure xx

Jem probably just growing pains, I've had a few. And I get that "feeling" like my period is coming too. Could always be braxton hicks though they're not as common at this point with first baby I'm sure. Mine were more like tightening all over later on so if they're like that it could be? See what midwife says anyway. Mine is this week too. As to movement, I feel a lot of little rolls though the worst right now is those bumps and kicks on my cervix! She's been doing that a lot lately and some of them make me jump out of my skin they feel so horrible lol xx

Lovely bumps everyone. Ahh can't believe you're discussing trimester 3. Its not far away at all.

Laura your mum sounds intense haha! She seems very excited about the baby with all her shopping but the wondering what's in your mail is a bit invasive and the prying for information... Not sure I could manage living at home right now so massive respect for you getting through it while pregnant!

I have my 24 week appointment on Monday. When do they normally organise testing for gestational diabetes? Can I expect to hear something about that then?
