****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

Malagueta your gd is around 28 weeks usually. At least in Scotland it's supposed to be 28 hun unless you're higher risk. 24 weeks is usually just urine, bp, bump measured and heartbeat, then any worries/concerns you have. xx

Yeah so... I am effing hugeeeeeeeee. Concerned that I'm only 24+3 and got a while to go yet. Fml

Lovely bump pictures ladies.

Malagueta have you already been told you'll be tested for GD? I think when you get all the questions at your booking app they're looking at your risk level for it

Great day here today, the weather has been so much better so we've been in the garden all afternoon. In coats obviously but the sunshine was lovely on my skin

Got my physio app tomorrow and I'm so glad, this pgp is awful at times fingers crossed I get some relief

Perfect, thanks Shan. They've actually just phoned an hour ago to change my appointment from Monday to Thursday this week so I'll get to hear baby's heartbeat again sooner, yay.

Shep, in Spain I think they test everyone for it, I don't think they care about risk level tbh. They mentioned it the test taking place lster in pregnancy at my first appointment but there's no history of diabetes of gestational diabetes in my family. I'm also not classed as a risk pregnancy so I guess I'll see what they say this week.

Great bump Jem. We all grow at different rates, don't worry!

Evening ladies. GD test is at 28 weeks here in Gloucestershire and everyone gets it regardless of risk factors. Also get tested for Iron, Vitamin D and something else which I've forgotten about.

I went and picked up a swing cot today for £20. Hardly used, beautiful and the perfect size to go next to the bed so I can use it instead of a next to me crib and one little catch that I can unclip and just rock the baby for any minor grumbles through the night. Dan was going to make a new frame for a next to me crib to allow me to be able to rock it but honestly, this cot is just beautiful and it feels so good to have finally bought something for the baby. We also got a photoframe last night that has 12 little frames in it to be able to pop a picture for every month of the first year. I love it so much and can't wait until we can start to add monthly pictures in.

Oh...and the heartburn has hit. I've been reaching for the Gaviscon a fair bit since last night. Guess that's hear to stay now, lol.

Lovely bump Jem! Xx

Shep good luck for your physio tomorrow hun, I really hope they can help you with it before you get any further along xx

GG wow sounds like you got an absolute bargain! Though the new next2me does allow you to rock it. Believe me DD was driving me crazy rocking the one we bought for baby but with her baby born doll in it. It's now away back in the box for now lol. Ah heartburn and acid reflux have to be my least favourite thing in pregnancy, the amount of Gaviscon I'm going through is ridiculous. Will definitely be getting a prescription on Friday so maybe you should too lol xx

I so wish had started before last night as I'd have asked for a prescription yesterday.

Oooh my god I'm uncomfortable tonight. Baby keeps giving me those kicks or whatever she's doing right on my cervix and some of them wow! Some are just uncomfortable but some actually sting! She's not for moving either

GG have you had your appointment already? I thought it was sometime this week, must be someone else? Baby definitely has bad timing lol. I'm sure you could call them though and get a prescription put through over the phone hun xx

Oooh, never thought of calling. Yes, my 24 week appointment was yesterday, where she told me I would definitely have an elective C section so I'm feeling very lucky that even my stand in midwife is lovely.

Not felt baby much tonight. Just the occasional move about. Typical that as I typed that...it moved, lol.

We started watching Santa Clarita Diet last night and are already on the last episode. It's absolutely hilarious. I hate finding something we enjoy so much and then it's over. lol

Duh me I remember it now I even commented on the section! Baby brain maybe lol.

Oh they love making idiots out of us. Every time I think I've not felt her in a while and say to oh about it, she starts up, I swear just to make me look like a liar lol Xx

Lol, you did but would be easy to assume that was an extra appointment.

She was so lovely. Refreshingly sweary as well. She asked me what reason they gave for not giving me a c section so I told her they'd said about me being immobile for 12+ hours which would be worse for me. She said...direct quote, "Bollocks". Lol
She explained how a section works with the catheter and the recovery and for someone active like me, they d help me be up and moving in 4-5 hours but until then, there would be loads they could do to keep my leg changing positions so it was, again a direct quote, "an absolute load of bollocks" that they had told me. She was quite angry, lol.

GG that's great they automatically test for GD in your area, I think they should everywhere for that and Group B Strep. It makes no sense in my head why they don't. My midwife is funny she deliberately doesn't remind you you'll be having blood tests at 28 weeks so people don't freak out and worry (not that needles bother me)

I hope you managed to sleep in the end last night Shanivy.

Morning Ladies! I hope you all are doing well and babies are being good to you! Sorry not had the chance to catch up as we are currently visiting my mum for a week +. I have been here for 3 days now and already feel like packing my bags. DD is running wild and they let her get away with murder. Nothing I do or say to my own daughter is right; when I tell her off I am being to harsh and when she does something naughty apparently its because I don't discipline enough. I give up. I am actually questioning whether or not I should invite them to stay in July once I have the baby, I feel like it would cause more stress than good for everyone. Ok... rant over x

Lovely bumps ladies, remember we are all different so don't worry how big/small you all are!!

Ugh woke up this morning feeling dizzy, read it's a common symptom of pregnancy in the second trimester, has anyone else been suffering? It's gone off abit now and feel like i have abit of a tension headache coming. I can't complain i've hardly had any problems during my pregnancy, I've been lucky.

OH put his head on my belly last night when baby was kicking and he said he could hear kicking noises.....amazing, wish I could hear it but I think thats pretty impossible haha!!

Have a great Wednesday.............half way through the week yippiee!! xx

KHTW my in laws do that! I always find dd plays up more after being with them for a few hours. And when she's naughty and I'm there they'll laugh about it I have have to be like "uh no that's not okay you idiots" *in my head* I'm told I'm being too harsh as well but I'd rather have well behaved nice little girl than a little brat. I hope your trip picks up before you come home. And if they still want to come over, maybe talk to them about your rules for dd and what will be helpful/what won't for them being there for the baby. You definitely don't need extra people stressing you out xx

Shep I agree with the testing etc. I still don't get how every area in Britain can be so different with maternity care. How the lambs coming along? Xx

Sarah if it exists I've probably had it with this pregnancy lol. I'm glad I'm starting to pick up from all the crap I've had the past few weeks. Still have my sinus headaches but fx they start to go in the next week or so, and they're nowhere near as bad now. Hopefully it's just a one off for you though xx

JaneyJan lovely bump! Xx

Doing really well eating healthy today, bacon sandwich for breakfast  went from having such little appetite I'd happily be drip fed to eating my house out of food in days!! Baby is going bananas so obviously she's a fan of well done bacon haha. Had something else to ask you all but it's disappeared out of my head
