****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

No I won't be having a joint one. My sister said she's already had one so doesn't need another one lol and we also read somewhere that you're only supposed to have one for your first but no idea don't think it really matters at all!
My sister has actually been okay about it and said she will throw me one and won't have one as it's about me this time. Not sure how much I believe her but hopefully she comes through for once x

Luckily I'm blonde so you can't see the hair, but I know I have a long patch on my face which is really annoying lol

Hi Ladies!! Gosh I haven't managed to catch up SORRY!! Been very busy this weekend (OH had a bug and DD didn't want anyone but me!!). And work this week is going to be busy as well *cries!!

Baby has been moving loads which is nice.

I love a good baby shower. We may book a few rooms in a hotel with spa and spend the night, just a few friends, spa, dinner, movie night, drinks for them. Can't wait x

Oh yeah i second the nithing wrong with 2nd hand clothes and toys x

Hey ladies. My day went totally to shit, lol so not got on here again until now. Busy day rounded off with a farrier visit and one of the horses looked a little lame. Farrier picked his hoof up to check for an abscess but Mickey slammed his foot down...and with that was a huge explosion of blood!

No secret facebook group...hardly used it with the two other members of this group actually. This thread is more interesting.

He's a bit of a twat with his feet as well so tonight we just managed to pop a poultice on and wrap it and will get the vet out in the morning. Bloody horses, it means he's on box rest now which means two horses in because it's not fair to keep them alone. Means a shit load more work for me over the next week or so. I'm just glad I had today off so have this evening to get a few things prepped.

KHTW that sounds nothing like the showers I've been to haha. I go for that no problem lol xx

KHTW she's so cute omg. She looks like she's away to take a dive though there haha xx

Since we're sharing...lol. Found this on my laptop last night. Ivy's first Halloween. Feels like forever ago. I'm starting to realise I'm losing my baby when I get my second baby. :oooo: It's a strange feeling!

Oh my goodness, your babies are all super cute.

Mickey will be okay fingers crossed. He's a bit of a twat for the farrier at the best of times but he was awful today so I literally just got a poultice on it straight away and will get the vet out to sedate tomorrow so we can have a really good look. Bloody horses. Still, it means I have one of my boys in the next stable to keep him company and my horses nickname is sex pest because he literally won't leave you alone, lol. So I'll really enjoy having him in for extra cuddles and whatever other stupid stunts he pulls. If I give him a gamer handle, he will hammer the walls and door. If I give him a brish handle, he will try to sweep the floor...he's just the best. And yes they are big but being around horse is like to me is like being around my own family. They are my home :)

GG They sound like so much work but I'd love to be able to see and work with horses all the time. I'd be completely useless and have no idea what I was doing but still. I'd stroke them for you lol.

Have you thought about what you're doing when the baby comes with the horses? Tell me if I'm sounding really nosy but can you take baby with you in a sling etc for some of it. Or no...xx

All these cute pics!!! Shan Ivy has got some lush brows on her!

GG I'm in the scared of horses boat here but I do think they look lovely and am slightly jealous of people who have that connection with horses x

Yes, baby will be able to be with me for pretty much everything bar riding although it already has 4 ponies of it's own waiting for it lol.
I'm very lucky that I've had horses for 36 years and we weren't rich so from 6 years old I shovelled the shit of other peoples horses to pay for keeping my own. It has literally been a lifetime relationship so whilst I wholeheartedly believe that the day I think I know it all, I should give up and get a rocking horse...the years and experience has taught me how to read them. On any given day I can walk into the herd and tell you in seconds what mood the herd are in as a whole and what mood the individual horses are in. This baby will literally grow up surrounded by them. I won't mind if it never wants to follow in my footsteps but honestly, when you feel that first connection with a horse, they get under your skin in a way that's very hard to describe.
It's more special than any other pet relationship. Cats and dogs are predators like us. We naturally fit together. Horses are pray animals. They are flight animals that should run from anythinf whose eyes face frontwards but yet, they choose to trust is so deeply they will literally jump off a cliff if we ask. They are big enough and strong enough to kill us, yet they will blow the gentler of warm kisses on the cheeks of babies. Dan spent 7 years of our relationship not understanding it. Now, he will tell anyone he meets how utterly amazing they are. They really are magical. They are the most sentient creatures and are used in a wide variety of therapies because of the unknown, unrcordable influence they have on people.

Ooops, sorry, went on a bit there but Yes, being scared is perfectly understandable as they are huge and both ends have the ability to hurt but honestly, everyone at some point in Life, should get to experience the feeling they can give you.

Shan what was Ivy dressed as lol?? She looks so sweet on this pic, like a proper cheeky monkey :)
Ps. That pic of Nina is her in mid air!

GG that horse sounds like a lot of work :D

That's pretty cool you can take him or her with you. Chances are being brought up with them baby will be just like you with horses I should imagine. That will be a amazing bond to have together! Xx
