****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

Oh Shep, that sounds frightening. How lovely to spend time with a little baby as well.

I'm feeling tired but normal again this morning and I did manage a good 5 hours uninterrupted sleep which was nice. Today shouldn't be too bad really. Am ahead of myself on the kitchen so I can sit down regularly which really helps my hip/pelvis/leg/groin.

It's beautiful outside so might see if me and Dan can finish a bit earlier today and go visit a local friend.

Hope you're all okay ladies xx

Thanks ladies for the posts :)
Will update after seen consultant.

GG that sounded awful, hope you're feeling better today.

Aww GG that sounds horrible. I hope today is better for you. Your OH sounds like a real gem though!

Baby was really active last night and its movements felt more powerful than usual so hubby felt it kick for the first time! I'm still smiling from how happy he was.

Hope you're enjoying your weekends ladies. Good luck for your appointment with the consultant MrsLK2017.

aw lovely that your husband felt the kicks! it's so special. I can't wsit for my husband to be able to feel

early lunch for me today, I haven't cut the lawn since October time and husband has been threatening to put some sheep on it if I didn't cut it soon so i thought I'd take advantage of the nice weather. God what a job, it's not huge maybe tennis court size but I was shattered and desperate for food by the end. so glad I've got it done thpugh before the snow comes and before he put sheep on haha

soppy post alert

ladies who haven't had babies yet you are in for some wonderful times

husband said he would take a long lunch today to spend some time with DD as they've not really hung out this week. I nipped out for a big Tesco shop and I've come back to them both cuddled up snoring on the couch

she's nearly 3 and there's still nothing that makes my heart fill with love more then seeing the two of them all snuggled together

I can't wait for this. Dan is in the habit already of laying his head on my tummy and talking to the baby and giving it kisses. I just love it.
Having a pretty good day today thankfully. Nice steady morning prepping everything, nice steady carvery and my mum and dad came as well so we had a nice catch up in between topping the veg up. Just love them to bits. Dan left his chefs white at home and just the ability to give my dad the house keys and know he can go in with the dogs and do whatever and all will be okay is wonderful. Sounds daft to appreciate something like that but the in laws could never be trusted so it really stands out.

It's a beautiful day here and I've been the horses over in the hill from the window as well so I kind of feel like I'm at work and at home.

I'm just praying now that I don't get a repeat of last night ever again.

Oh...and I showed my mum and dad the bump and they both got really excited. That's saying something for my mum...she doesn't do excitement well lol

Shep aw that's so adorable! I can't wait for this all over again. My favourite picture of OH is when Ivy was a week old. And he fell asleep on the sofa with Ivy asleep on his chest. I just love it. Something about men with their little babies lol xx

GG hope you're felling better today, and that you continue to for work tonight! Xx

Amy congrats hun on a girl, I've updated :) xx

So eventful night & day here. OH has pneumonia, a lesson to men everywhere who are stubborn and think they can just carry on regardless and never see a doctor. On the plus baby has been going crazy. My stomach has been moving like mad and now OH and DD have been able to see her. Dd is fascinated watching her move me lol xx

Congrats on your girl Amy, amazing news!
Where are all the July boys at?? Haha (oh wait all in my family by the looks of it) haha

Lol Jem.

Amy, that's wonderful congratulations.

Shan, hope oh feels better soon. Awful thing to have. X

congratulations on your girl Amy

sorry about oh shanivy, is he in hospital or can it be treated at home?

I must have a near identical picture of husband and DD, she's tiny and lying with her back on his chest. I love it. I remember being paranoid though, trying to do some jobs but checking on them every minute in case she fell off haha even now I lie a load of cushions on the floor just in case

Congrats Amy on a baby girl! Can't wait for my scan in just over a week :)

Aww Shep that's so cute. I can't wait for moments like that.

Shan, hope your hubby gets well soon. This winter seems to be lasting forever.

Haha I was the same with them thinking he'd forget and roll her off. I used to check them constantly lol.

No he's home just, so fx it's not too difficult to treat. Had to phone 111 for him because he was like I'll be fine just a cold etc, I'm not going in for a cough. Men I swear. There's no way they'd get him staying in anyway :roll:xx

Hey everyone! hope you are all doing well. I've been AWOL for ages it feels like haha

Not been doing great, been exhausted and feeling really awful, headaches and all sorts. Last Wed I started getting these abdominal pains feeling like trapped wind or constipation or something. I didn't think much of it and just tried to drink more water and eat more fibre. Because we had our rescan that day I was buzzing all day anyway cuz they confirmed our girl!
Thurs, the pains got worse and felt like bad period cramps with occasional shooting intense pains. By friday morning I called a dr who asked a bunch of questions and told me she felt it was maybe due to constipation but if any blood, strange discharge or worsening of the pain to call back. Everything was just the same until about 8.30 friday night when the pains got so much worse and I was lying stationary in my bed unable to move with pain basically. Called the emergency obstetrics unit at the hospital and she asked some questions then told me to come in straight away. We drove up and spent from 9pm until around 1.30 in the hospital. Was a really awful night waiting in this cold waiting room on these uncomfortable chairs in severe abdominal pain. They took me in at 9pm immediately and said BP was fine, urine sample fine, temp fine, then stuck us outside on chairs saying to wait on a doctor... til 1.30 when a doctor finally arrived.

She felt around my stomach and then did an ultrasound. Told me I have a "fibril" in my womb, explained its a type of swelling of the wall of the womb, but that it doesnt affect the baby and that she was absolutely fine, heartbeat all well etc.
So I went home and have been in pain since, the doctor on friday had booked me into the antenatal clinic on monday just incase (obvs this was before all the hospital drama_) so going to go tomorrow to ask all the questions I should have asked on friday night but was waaaay too zombified and in pain to ask. Like how long will this pain last?! I've just been told to rest and no other info than it doesnt affect the baby. Nothing in reference to the fact im in agony and can barely move :(

Goodness Laura that's some shitty week. I'm sure that was very scary, especially being pregnant. I've never heard of a febrile before, I'm glad baby is fine despite it. Did they give you any advice on pain management? Hopefully the doc answers your questions on Monday but definitely get some serious rest. Have oh absolutely pamper you! Xx

Thanks, yeah hubby has been looking after me so well. Plus our new bed arrived friday afternoon so Im able to rest in total luxury! Never had such a good nights sleep considering im in continual pain.

They didn't even mention it and im raging I didnt ask but I was just so tired my brain was switched off haha I want to know how long this will last too, feels like I can never just enjoy being pregnant between sickness and now this! xx

Laura that's very strange, glad it doesn't affect baby though.

Shan hope OH feels better soon, I've had pneumonia and literally couldn't walk it was awful!

I'm having a bit of a down moment regarding things for the baby. Think it mainly comes from the fact my sister is getting everything brand new for her baby. Even though she has no money and it's her 2nd baby - think it's all from her rich in laws.

Anyway, literally everything we've bought for baby is second hand or given to us. I feel really bad that we haven't bought anything new but we just can't afford to! There's absolutely nothing wrong with the stuff we've bought, but then I think Ahhh we spent £10 on the silver cross pram and car seat, £3 on a steriliser, got the baby bath for free, cot for free (given to us by a friend), second hand moses basket given to us by a friend, swinging crib second hand which my mum got us, my sister is going to give us her old baby bouncer and she's buying a brand new one... Just makes me feel like a skin flint and not good enough because I'm buying nothing brand new as can't afford it x

Oh laura hope your OH is looking after you!!

Jem, a baby doesnt give a shit how much things are.. Our baby is basically getting everything second hand cos dd had it which alot was given to us, i mean if we wanted it new we could have but what a waste if youve got it already... Save money. This time round we cant really buy new stuff as we wasnt prepared for 2 babies in 1 year but we manage and if thats buying second hand so be it. Your sister is just being crazy by having everything new if she has it already.
