****July 2018 Mummies - Tri 2****

Sorry, was busy last night just popped on to tell you guys gender.
Well you could definitely tell it was a boy, I saw boy bits before they even said lool. I was really hoping for another girl, feel bad for being abit let down but I'm getting used to the idea, gonna go shopping today for boy clothes, might make it more real lol.
Here's a scan pic not very good, baby really likes to be upside down haha.

PB is there a sale on in mothercare near you? Only I bought £300 worth of clothes last week for £49 everything was £2 or less got loads of items for £1 and £1.50 too, it’s not on line only in store but I’m not sure if it’s every mothercare as the sheffield one wasn’t but the Rotherham one was - could be worth a look especially as most items are £15+ the cashier told me too that the sale was lasting till everything in store had sold, I know some of the girls on my thread had the sale near them and some hadn’t - lovely scan photo :-) xx

18 weeks today omg (Happy 18 weeks GG lol)

I find out the gender today!! Fingers crossed anyway. This day is going to drag so much because my scan isn't until 6. Think I'll be adding another boy to the thread lol. Dd is coming with us for definite. Not just because of yesterday's major fuck up. She wants a brother, no a sister, no wait a brother, both? No a sister. Okay okay lol.

. I had to explain last night "You know we're just finding out, we don't get to choose what you want."

aw bless Ivy, good luck for this evening I'll be watching the thread later to see.

go and see your in-laws get that over with then you can concentrate on the scan and you'll feel much better

if I'm having a boy I might go to mother care after my scan Monday.

is anyone asking for a GBS test? I was positive for it last year so asked for it at my booking appointment but I've just been reading an article about it to.

Lovely scan PB!

Boys are awesome, I bet he will be mama's boy :)

It is so funny when it comes to finding out gender... We all say that we really don't mind what it is, boy or girl we will be equally happy. And I really believe that we mean it! BUT only at the scan (or birth) we get this split second after hearing the gender where we either get a sting of disappointment or feeling of ultimate happiness. It doesn't last long but at that moment we REALLY know what we were hoping for.

Have fun buying clothes! xx

Can't wait for your scan results! Hope you get the one you are slightly hoping for x

I hope Ivy takes it well too lol She may want an exchange haha

If we find out this one is a boy I am definitely invading mothercare that day lol! Actually if this one is a girl (which it is!) I may still go and buy her a few things. My mother the other day told me off for wanting to put this new baby girl in her sister's clothes. I was like - she won't even know!!! But mum was all like my granddaughter is not wearing hand me downs only, crazy haha

What's GBS?? Can you just request a test? x

Shan, I don't really trust anyone with her, years and years ago it happened in my own family (not me) but makes me more aware of stuff.
Also my MIL thinks its acceptable to change a baby's nappy in the middle of a restaurant. I said I was taking her to go change her bum and she was like give her here and I'll do it on my lap I was like WTF no. She was like fine got up and came with me to the baby change. Next we was at a party in a family house, and she decided just to strip her to change her nappy in the middle of everyone I didn't like that at all but didn't wanna make a scene but obviously you never know anyone is what I've learnt from my own family. So my baby just lay their naked you don't even know who's looking. If I have to tell her it's not acceptable to change a nappy infrount of strangers and stuff how on earth do I leave her with her?

My mothercare isn't in walking distance :( will take like 3 hours ahaa.
Might go on weekend with hubby. Was gonna go primark and asda today

Absolutely. I think in situation like this you should make a scene. I know I would. My baby - my rules.

But speaking about changing baby in front of people I think I petrified 2 of my nephews lol They are 12 and 8 and I had to change DD in the room with them and they well both so embarrassed bless them! That was the first time they saw her getting her bum changed. Now, many months later they don't care anymore but that first time was priceless :D

YAY shan for your gender scan today! I'm sure you're bursting to find out! I'm dyyyying to get through to next wed but at the same time have a uni assignment due the same day so I want it to never arrive too cuz I am no where near finished with the uni stuff, barely started!!! xx

Not been on in a while as we've been busy with our house move.

Shan, you have every right to go nuts at your FIL and I hope you do today. You hear of bad enough things when people leave kids by accident but the fact he willingly left her there is mind boggling. She's 4 years old! I hope she forgets about it soon, I know it will be a bit more difficult for you to forget about!

Yay, more gender scans! Congrats on the boy PB. Good luck for your scan today Shan.

There's me all 3 weeks today until I find out boy or girl and everyone else is beating me to it!!

Good luck today Shan :D

Breaks my heart reading about your daughter and what she went through yesterday, poor girl.

I think I have an ear infection in my other ear!! What is wrong with me :( haha x

Agree it's your baby your rules. My mil does that on her lap thing too regardless of where she is. I never liked that. I ended up saying in front of her mum and entire family, just get up off your arse and change her or I'll do it myself. I think the worst thing for me is I finally started to worry slightly less when she's with them and now that's gone.

Haha kids are brilliant. I remember minding my nephews when dd was very newborn. They were 5 and 2 then. The oldest obviously learned everything about babies from his brother. He was so fascinated with her and followed me everywhere. But he was absolutely horrified that she didn't have her penis haha. Xx

Thanks everyone I cant wait. The rest of you are not far behind! It's so exciting for all of us. And thanks for opinions on what happened yesterday. I needed some sane advice to know I wasn't overreacting.

Dd has decided on the way to nursery that she thinks it's a boy. And that would be better because it won't want her toys then" I was like okay lol. Xx

Lol Jem just cut them off. Seriously though if it goes the way it did last time don't hesitate to take time off if you need it. Work need to get their shit together xx

Hahaha did you have to explain that to him lol?!

Mine are obviously older so they knew all that. They are actually very sweet with her and let her walk all over them (sometimes literally). The older one is also super protective and watches over her like a hawk! I really like that. He is already saying that once he gets his driving licence he can take her to cinema lol well I don't know about that but still sweet :D

Shep do you need another if you test positive once? I had a strep test with dd when I had tonsillitis. I always thought it was for strep B but I've been reading and I'm not sure now. I was only swabbed at the back of my throat. What did they say at your booking when you asked? xx

Well yes haha he wasn't for letting it go since he thought something was wrong with her lol. His mum explained it more when she came backl. He wasn't too fussed after that just said he was glad it was boys who got a penis haha.

It's so cute seeing boys suddenly become so gentle and protective of little ones like that. I got emotional the first time I let the older one hold her. He's so rough constantly but he held her on the sofa like she was made of glass. This time it will be dd holding the baby which will probably make me more emotional haha xx
