**February Babies 2012**

Oh GG, hope they'll agree to do a sweep for you... Sitting around doing nothing gets so boring, and not being able to get comfy must be horrible. :(

I have been booked for induction next Thursday unless anything happens before then. The cramping I was having has stopped :(. So no sign of Little Miss appearing anytime soon. Booooooo...

Ah sorry to hear you are suffering GG. Hopefully they will do a sweep tomorrow for you and get things moving.

Nic at least you have an end date in sight but hopefully lo makes an appearance before then!! x

I suppose that's true... But I'm petrified of induction... :(. Really, really can't bear to think about it :(. Come on little one, you've got to make an appearance before then!

Yeah i know what you mean. Really hoping i don't have to have one either. Sending labour vibes to you lo lol x

Hello ladies!

GG - I am so sorry you're still suffering. Definitely speak to the midwife about a sweep or induction. It's worth a try and they should be sympathetic about it. You still sound very cheery which is good!

Nic - I really hope your LO comes before induction. My midwife today said that only about 5% of people get induced for being over so I thought that was very positive. Have you had an internal yet? Do they know whether you're on your way.

I had my MW today and feeling very happy and positive! I have an induction booked for Monday but she doesn't think I'll need it - YAY! I lost my plug on the toilet (it looked like a clear piece of jelly and really wasn't disgusting for me so I wasn't sure until the MW confirmed it as I was expecting something worse looking), I am now 50% effaced and 1cm dilated without me realising it. My cervix is also nicely far forward and so she could do my sweep today! Felt the top of cub's head and his membranes are in the perfect place so should make labour a little easier and he was very relaxed and happy through the whole process. So the MW said he's just a chilled out baby like his mummy.

So hopefully sometime very soon! If I haven't popped before the weekend I'm going back on Saturday for a second sweep.

I also have continually forgotten to get a text buddy which suddenly hit me today as it could be very very soon! If it's not too late does anyone fancy being my text buddy to update all you lovely PF ladies?

Thats good that cub is ready, glad you got ur sweep done.

Shame on you not having a text buddy - especially when we're all desperate for labour watches. I'll pm you my number if you like.

I just about ended up with a whole bowl of soup on my lap - apparently balancing it on bump did not impress madam - she kicked it hard. lol

xxx

Oh Verity, that's fab news! Sounds like Cub is not so far away from entering into the world now! Fingers crossed it all happens in the next few days. Good luck!!!!!
5% is a very positive statistic... Here's hoping that I'm not going to be in that 5% then! Haven't had an internal, but at consultant appt yesterday, LO was still 3/5 engaged - has been that way since 36 weeks - she seems very happy where she is! Will see the MW again this afternoon.

Ah that is fab news Verity. fingers crossed for you that lo makes an appearance soon - the labour watch we are all waiting for.

Maclean that made me laugh about the soup - they don't like us using them as a resting place do they lol x

If lorna can't do it I will verity. Good news that ur already 1cm dilated and cub is in the right position. Might finally get a labour watch! Lol!

So many posts! So little time! :p

I'll just comment on the last two "big things" as if I try to cover everything I'll forget someone/something...

GregorysGirl, I really hope they will agree to give you a sweep! I can't really see why they wouldn't.. you're obviously suffering a lot now, and I can't see that it's necessary for you to suffer any longer! Baby has been full term for 2 weeks already, and could technically be born any day now anyway!

Verity - that's all quite positive news :) Sounds like we might get a labour watch very soon!! :) Good luck, and keep us updated :)

As for me my cold is a lot better, but I still sleep half the day... going to catch up on all the dishes that have piled up while I've been sick..
I've had a lot of quite strong BH the past couple of days, up to 4-5 an hour, mostly in the evenings. Today I'm having some period type pain, kind of semi constant, and I'm pretty sure my mucus plug is starting to come away little by little, (been checking my CM for the past two weeks, and there are some stringy lumpy yellowy things there now that wasn't there before!) Soooo I'm thinking Pip might come before the end of this week...! Due on Saturday... so I guess it's not completely unlikely that he'll be here quite soon!

BTW, anyone else who feel they almost can't get up to pee or have a drink of water etc at night because their OH will think something's up? Almost every time I get up, or even just struggle a bit extra to turn around my husband wakes up and asks if anything is happening.
Last night I woke up and found him lying under the covers online on his phone, because he couldn't sleep because he was nervous thinking about that I might go into labour! I tried to tell him that if Pip would indeed come he should try to get as much sleep as he could! Poor guy, I think he's more worried about the labour than I am!!

Lewa - glad ur feeling a bit better. My DH is the same - everytime i get up for the loo he asks if im ok! lol. Then he had the cheek to moan the other night he got no sleep - i was very sympathetic and told him to get used to it. lol. I lessen the amount i have to get out of bed by having a couple of bottles of squash on the bedside table, so normally dont need to move for that.

Im just back from a baby shower at work. Was a really nice afternoon - tea and cakes (a whole pile of which came home. lol), got a lovely play mat for bubs, a bumbo seat, and a winnie the pooh mobile - which matches our nursery perfectly. The girls have decided we need a night out to wet the baby's head once she's hear - i pointed out i'll still not be able to drink if im bf - but they say at least that means one person will be sober - bunch of nutters. lol

Knackered now though - the energy burst that had me clean half the bathroom before i went out seems to have vanished - think a snooze on the sofa is needing before dancing tonight. xxx

Sounds like you've had a fab afternoon! And lots of lovely presses for LO!! :). :)
My hubby doesn't seem to notice when I get upu in the night... But he does have blocked ears at the moment so can't hear a thing! Very convenient for when baby starts crying in the middle of the night!!

You'll have to give him a kick when its his turn, nic. lol xxx

Oh most definitely I will!!! Lol. He's not going to get away with it that easily! ;)

My DH is always asking if I'm ok when I get up of a night. Called him last night about 7ish as he was out at a pool game to say I was goin out with my dad and he answered within 2 rigs (very unlike him!) saying "what's wrong, what's happening. Are u ok?" I just laughed! Lol!

He is so nervous, bless him!

Also Pip's mega wriggle today as meant he has flipped from his back on my left to his back in my right. Feels weird to have his kicks in my left hand side, so used to them on my right! Gonna go get my ball and start bouncing in a min to try and encourage him to flip again!

Well, MW said LO is now 2/5 engaged, and will not enage anymore until labour starts. Position of baby is very good also, so was pleased about that. Have arranged to visit again on Monday.
Seeing as we didn't 'celebrate' Valentines Day yesterday, we've decided to go out for dinner tonight... Going to order the hottest curry I can in an attempt to get LO out! Also going to walk to the restaurant and back... (might regret that once I'm full of curry though - but it's not that far!)

Good news that baby is now as engaged as will be. Have you had a sweep yet Nic?

Haha know what you all mean about OH being a tad on edge - bless them x

No, haven't had a sweep yet. Decided I didn't want one yet.
Curry was good though...! Hope it works it's magic! :)
