*****December Babies*****

Ooh I may try the ironing sitting on the ball! Having a horrid night, had my whooping cough and fly jab yday and my arms are killing me, pelvic girdle pain is bad and carpel tunnel. As a result I just can't move in bed at all or get comfortable!!

I'm awake again even though Ella is sleeping! Been up most nights with her since we put her in her new bed but so far tonight she's sleeping through (apart from a little moan at midnight and I didn't have to go in). I've been up twice to pee and wide awake since the second trip at 5am!!! Grrr x

I'm wide wake now too! A few loo trips in the night (which isn't easy when you literally gave to roll out of bed!) and I've just had to feed the cats cos they were bothering me too!

I've had to reduce my hours in work for the next 3 weeks. I can't cope with full time now, I'm so tired!! I was almost sick on Thursday driving to work and was in tears by the time I got there. By the end of the day my feet and hands were swollen.. Not great for a dentist with swollen fingers and restricted movements!! Ended up in bed by 8pm, but felt so much better the next morning!

So yesterday I went in and cancelled a load of patient check ups so I could work half days instead. My cankles were back by mid morning so hubby went out and bought some compression socks to wear! Socks are hard enough when they're normal socks - these are something else to get on!!
Roll on the next 3 weeks when I start maternity! Why I thought I could work full time to 38 weeks, I don't know!!

Klferrin I'm glad you've cancelled some appointments, don't want to push yourself too much.

I've been awake most of the night just sleep the odd hour then it's up for the loo again! Babies are awake and kicking and my very old cat is snoring loudly on the bed so not sure I'll get back to sleep now. Back ache finally easing off!

Good for you cancelling appts Katy, your job is quite physical, I'm struggling with a flexible, mostly office based job! I think I've managed to sort out using annual leave to finish at 38+3 rather than 39+3, two weeks to go :)

I know.. Glad you can cut your shifts klferrin and dysco.. I didn't expect to be as tired as I am from work. I'm glad I saved up holidays and I finish next Thursday :) yay :)

I've been up half the night too ladies... Think we're the new insomnia club.. Been up with trips to the toilet, Oh snoring and kicks and punches ( from LO not the Oh). The worst thing is everyone keeps saying make the most of you chance to sleep... You won't get it again... I would if I could ;)

Lovely day planned today, taking the OH out for breakfast.. then were having a trip to the shops to start christmas shopping then we are going to antenatal.. will fill you all in..
Xxx

Sounds like a lovely day Sosie :)
I have good nights and bad nights I don't know about anyone else, the tiredness and sheer lack of 'bothered ness' at work makes work tough!

This weekend is DIY, creperie for lunch and fun with in laws as well some relaxation :)

Not too much DIY I hope Em!!
I was so exhausted on Tuesday I couldn't even bring myself to go to daisy birthing! I came home, did everything like I normally do, just when that time came to get in the car, I couldn't actually move from the sofa!!

Is anyone else suffering with swelling? Or is it just me for now?

Oh and Dysco, I forgot up say, is it that new pancake house by Victoria Park?

Katy I have been like a swollen monkey since abut 22 weeks! My hands are like shovels and my cankles have taken over the entirety of my legs!!!!!!! Seriously! Its so not humorous! Yay to cutting down on work ladies! I gave up the ghost on Wednesday x

My fingers have been swelling up then going down but mostly in my hands I have been getting alot of cramps/spasms..

My hand goes into a claw thing I have to physically pull it open LOL xxxx

I have had this with my hands! It generally just happens in the morning when I wake up but it's bloody sore and my joints ache, have absolutely no swelling anywhere else though?

Afternoon ladies! hope your enjoying your weekend?? I have spent to morning putting furniture together. Feels so strange seeing our cot up :/ xx

Lovely cot hun! It does seem strange seeing things set up.
We've just got back from our anti natal classes, which actually turned out to be very good. We had a session on early labour and what to do at home/when to call. One on pain relief, another on first days after baby is here, one on nappies and bathing and one on breast feeding. Very informative as I was expecting them to be a bit naff but the mw's leading them were very good. The only thing I thought of when I got in though was that they didn't go into anything about breathing techniques, do you think this is important/something I should look into?

Also apparently my hospital won't allow inductions until 13days after dd is this normal? A little gutted as I still think this LO will keep me waiting even though I've not evidence either way for that yet lol x

haven't felt bubs as much today? i'm guessing it's going to slow down a bit now? still makes you paranoid xx

it is worrying isnt it - although by the looks of things you have done DIY today so been busy!! xx

yea she is quiet when i'm active but i'm being lazy now so expected movement but have not had too much. but when she does move I can definitely feel it! i'm still a bit worried about this pain under my ribcage. someone said that that pain and protein in the urine can mean pre-eclampsia!. my mw never seems worried though? might mention it again on wednesday x
