Yea I'm 85 but I lived in west London. Moved to Walthamstow to love with an ex 10years ago and my now OH is from Leytonstone x

Oh wanted to live here and we both wanted out the city. Have to say I don't miss it that much , especially the tube!!! It's a tad far though xx

Well guess how the class started...... Grab a picture from the table that will help you introduce yourself!!! All sat in a lovely little circle. Dan managed to remain calm though and 3 hours later it wasn't all that bad. He says he will come next week so that's a good sign. Xx

There was a lot f talk on pain relief and different options of birthing places. I grabbed the water birth pic and said I chose it cuz I fancy having one. I was really apprehensive about the midwife lead unit before but after tonight I really fancy it. It's only 3 minute drive from the hospital and knowing that they have all the resuscitation kit there if they need it sounds reassuring. It's set up like a living room, you're guaranteed a birthing pool and mood lighting and plasma screens etc. what are your views on this? I don't know what to do xxxx

Sounds fab! My only options are home or hospital. I'd be reassured if it was just a very short distance from the main hospital too x

Also apparently if you are having any complications in birth they would notice with more than enough time to transfer you. It's a tough decision because if something did go wrong would I be lads more stressed than if I were in hospital xxx

I really want to go to one but if I needed to go to hospital its 18 miles away xx

Kate, your midwife centre sounds fab. I'd definetly be going to one if there was one nearby. I know Sophs, the nearest one to me is a fair distance too.. Hospital it is

My hospital has just had a new labour ward and ward for after birth (can't think of the name) they opened last weekend and by the looks of the pics, they too are like mini hotel rooms

Kate I'd go for it. Honestly they take no risks, any probs and you are transferred, and one of the doctors told me that the time they've got theatre ready, even in an emergency, it would take 5-10 mins and you'd be there anyway! I've gone for home birth because we so close to the hospital it's the same situation for me.

I know I'm probably panicking over nothing but have had a very quiet baby the last 24 hours. Don't know if I should give it today and see how it goes or give triage a quick call? I was busy yesterday so don't know if I just didn't notice anything but when I have a bath he is usually so active and last night nada. Normally get woken each night too and last night I slept through. Might get the Doppler and have a little check in..... Arghhhh these babies!!!!

Mine has calmed down and i got worried last week, my mw said when we have busy days it tires them out so they just rest the day after, can you push yr hand on babys bum? He might suffle if u do xx

I find quiet days mean growth spurt! If its just reduced its probably that. Phone if you've felt nothing, but try the cold water and something sugary first, I'm sure LO is fine but call if you are worried x

Yes! I went to see a friends newborn and addmitedly she was born at 9lbs but I just couldn't believe 10 days ago she fitted inside my friend, it really confused me lol xx
