All of my family including OH seem to think I can't do anything or go anywhere but labour will go off and it's starting to bug ,e, I have a shop like 2 mins walk, 5 min waddle for me lol. And OH was like are you sure you'll be ok at the shop? I'm like it's not going to start and boom hes here! LOL xxxxx

Hey girls, just had my second sweep. So painful! Different midwife and she said I am 1-2cm dilated and she could still feel a little of baby's head out of the pelvis. Hate hearing conflicting views! Feel like I just want to cry as feel like I am going backwards now! About 10 mins after midwife left I started bleeding. Is this normal? Is it the bloody show? Sorry for tmi but Soph, was your bloody show bright red like a period? I could feel it leaking like a period, normal?

still time before induction, i went into labour 12hrs before mine.. i walked for 5hours that day xx

Bliss, the book tells you it's normal to bleed after sweep however just keep a eye on it, the sweep might have worked and you might be on your way or it might just be some disruption bt not labour.

Thank you Russell. Thought is was normal but was surprised at the colour being bright red! will keep an eye on it. I doubt very much it is the start of anything. Feeling totally negative now! Silly really as nothing we can do! Thank you for your help and support. Hope you are ok. xx

Also, every midwife has told me different things. lo's head has been engaged, not engaged, 3/5th's engaged.......all over the place, they all have conflicting views x

I only know because I was reading on sweeps the other day lol, but yeah it is normal.

Yeah the MW at my antenatal classes says that it depends on the MW interpretation, which is annoying. They should have a system if you ask me rather than just making it up LOL xxxx

Bliss my second sweep hurt a bit too. made me go all hot and red! lol mine definetly made my plug come away and kicked off some back ache, I also dtd the next morning......well attempted it for a while lol otherwise we are still stuck here I keep mistaking my pains ..... it keeps turning out to be needing the loo. so annoying. Did she book an induction?? xx

have any of u tried nipple stimulation to bring on labour yet? I was reading about it the other day but my nips are sore as it is never mind trying to stimulate them that much I contract LOL xxxxx

yes the sweep hurt me too. v uncomfortable. She did say labour wasn't was bad as everything is ready and they weren't trying to interrupt things that don't want to be interrupted, if that makes sense?!
I have been getting back ache too. and body cleared out a little yesterday but i wasn't sure if that was just the effects of the curry the night before?!?! xx

I don't think I could do nipple stimulation seriously lol and if my OH touched them at the moment I would thump him. My Hypnobirthing cd is great as she takes you through imagining your cervix opening up ect..... that's my bedtime fun now! x
