Quick update on me. Now 40+5. My midwife friend did another sweep last night. She read my notes and last sweep cervix was prosterior on Wednesday, she said its now central and very soft but still long so I guess on the plus side things have progressed just not as I'd want them to! She did the sweep and it was a lot more uncomfy than the last one. I don't know if it's spotting but since the sweep since I've wiped (sorry tmi) it's been a different colour. Not pink but more yellowy/brown so I'm hoping maybe it's disturbed something. Also have a very light dull period type ache. I'm sure it's all nothing as clearly my stupid cervix isn't quite ready.

OH isn't talking to me as he asked me not to have the sweep (as it was performed at my friends house) and I had it anyway. I didn't see what difference it made in a doctors room or my friends bedroom? She use sterile gloves and all the same stuff they would do at the doctors but he isn't happy with me. Hopefully he gets over it today as I could really do without a day of him not talking to me!

Anyway, that's it from me. Still babyless and induction in 5 days.

Well I think men need to try.and be in our shoes! Especially when your 5 days overdue.......frustrated isn't even the word!! I didnt want Lo to come on my due date but right now I would welcome it will.open arms!

Totally. I feel like saying just try being me for one day carrying around this huge weight and feeling like crap constantly. If you had a chance to maybe progress things you would give it a go. I'm sure it will be fine when he wakes up.

I just want a sign.... Any sign.... A bit of plug or a contraction or something! I feel like I'm going to be here forever.

Aw newbie my heart really does out to you, I was climbing the walls. Also ALL my sweeps were at home, really no difference and if anything more likely to be successful at home where you are relaxed. Big hugs lovely, I really hope things start soon for you. Xxxx

Thanks hun I know these next 5 days will go quick and with Xmas at least ill be busy. When you were induced were you engaged and dilated? My worry is I am not and so it's going to take even longer. I just want to go in, have my baby and come home! The hospital wouldn't even let me come in and have a ward tour as I'd never been to the hospital that does the inductions. Stupid hospital.

I've given up with bouncing, raspberry leaf tea etc - it doesn't work.

I have had the tinyest bit of show which was a brown colour. Early part of bloody show maybe???

I had that after attempted sweep, I think it definetly is. Really hope you get some twinges later

Me too. Other than dull period aches and that little bit - nada. Gonna have a clary sage bath and wash my hair incase it kicks off lol can't be in hospital with manky hair!

Grrr the last few days I have been getting the strongest movements from Lo ever. Last night he hear was like a cork screw and it hurt. Today nothing! Think I have felt a couple of really light movements....... I hate quiet days, they always worry xx

It's Christmas Eve! I'm actually starting to get excited about Xmas now after watching vids of Ella last year and thinking how much she has changed! x
