I don't know what my clinics policy for sweeps are, I think 40weeks but not 100% I have been too fussed, still a couple weeks before I need to worry about sweeps and bringing on labour, little man can stay snug whilst I get everything sorted for his arrival lol xxxxxx

Doob I asked the same question , I go to my doctors to see my midwife and it's in stirling where my hospital is in glasgow. in stirling they can only do a sweep from your due date so the hospital are doing it earlier because they have a different policy . they could make it a little less complicated!!!

LO is still engaged but 4/5ths, last week it said 3/5ths?? I think every midwife has a different opinion on that!!! also she said period pains and all our twinges mean the body is getting ready but have no effect on when LO's will come...........BOO! x

I could cry right now. Had argument with OH. He wants to go back to his parents (1.5 hrs away) next thurs and Fri when I will be 39+2. I have said I don't want him to go as too close to dd. he wants to go and sort out the engine of his race car ( don't ask!) and said that I haven't let him sort it out for the last 2 months. He has been down without me and we have just got back from there today. He already has planned to go in January. I feel that baby and I are so unimportant to him. He said he has been really supportive but I have been trying not to moan or anything when actually I feel really pants and can't wait for it to all be over. I am constantly uncomfortable, constantly swallowing sick and having acid reflux, suffering with carpel tunnel, not able to relax or sleep just to name a few things. But do I moan, no.

Sorry ladies, just needed a rant. Feel so alone right now

Sophs, it's so bizarre the whole policy thing being different all over the place. Did your mw say if LO was 4/5 palpable or engaged? I think if engaged then going from 3/5 to 4/5 means she's dropped more if palpable it means gone back up?

Bliss, I'd be a bit stresses out about that too. Can it not wait until the new year when LO is here? Xxx

He said it needs to be done now so that in the new year he has time to send it away to be repaired and then put everything back together so it's ready for the next racing season.
Oh well. I'm sure nothing will happen so I may as well just let him go and keep my legs crossed! Lol. Thank you Doob. Xx

TMI sorry but got nobody else to say this too been having pains all day and im being induced at 8pmbut had the loose bowels for the last hour which has made my piles so painful and now there bleeding! Feel so uncomfortable and know that within the next 24h a baby is coming out aswell any advice for piles!

Yeah I'm booking into the southern general. I don't know what my gp policy is but it's the same midwives etc from the southern so it may be the same? I think your best goin to the southern anyway soph, gps are usually too busy to fit people in for sweeps.

Have your booked in for one then? Xxxxx

Ooo ouch, sorry to hear you're suffering. I've no experience to help I'm afraid, sorry!! But massives of luck for the induction I hope it goes swiftly for you. Let us know when LO s here, how exciting xxx

Yea they booked me in at 35 weeks. My doctors offered me it the day after boxing day but I'm going into southern for the 21st Eeek!! X

I see, I don't know if I want to just see how I get on myself.. Mind your I'm fed up already. I know a few midwives at the southern so prob could get one sooner rather than later but not made up my mind yet. 21st is my little brothers 18th

Hi ladies!!!!!!! Just got home.......omg I wasn't expecting all of this, I can't believe our little boy is herexxxx sosie thanks for letting lol know my lovely xxxxx well I got to Hosp just before 10 and I had him at 4.10 pm so quick!!!!! XXX thy examined me and I was 1cm dilated they were gonna send me home, went for a walk for 20 mins and was in agony nearly passed out, mW checked me and I'd progressed to 4cm in twenty mins!!!!! I got in bath for half hour n mW said I will prob be in labour through the night with him being my first, half hour later I was 6cm and in birth pool I couldn't believe it!!!! I can't believe how quick it went. Right at the end they got me out of water n on to the bed and finally delivered him.........the contractions and pressure is the worse feeling ever lol the head coming out was easier!!!!! Xx I had gas and air till thy got me on the bed and then no pain relief whilst pushing him out cos I felt like it was slowing me down XXX I love him to bits its the best feel in in the world xxxxxxxx
