Well ladies my beautiful baby girl is here born 7 lb 5oz at 0016 on the 10/11/12. Say here at home exhausted feeding her honestly the best thing in the world! Will update with my labour story when I'm in a proper pc and not my iPod! Good luck ladies the pain is all worth it if I can do it anyone can! X

Just back from the vit d thing. Apparently they scan baby at 2 weeks, 12 months and at 4 years old. They also need a cord blood sample, all very thorough. It's interesting what your OH said about vit d benefits klferrin xx

Doesn't look like I'm gonna have chance to get on the pc so ill do it on this sorry for spelling mistakes in advance.

Went to be induced on Sunday at four even though I'd been contracting every 10 mins since early hours of Sunday. Went on the monitor for about an hour coz kept loosing trace of baby. Got examined at about 6pm 0 cm dilated so they inserted the 30 hour pessary to see what that would do. Everyone said they'd examine me the following day after 24 hours so I fully expected to be in it for the long haul lol. After an hour or two the contractions were 5 mins apart lasting over a min and were very painful! They gave me paracetamol but it didn't even touch the surface. I wasn't coping at all so they have me codeine an hour later and then I felt loads of pressure downstairs so they examined me and I was only 1-2 cm I was gutted because the pain was just so bad an they won't give u anything when your bot very progressed. So at about 8.30 ish they ran a bath for me to get into because I was becoming really agitated and couldn't control my self the pain was so bad. The bath helped but the pain was still intense and I could tell I couldn't handle the pain any longer so asked for anything and all the midwives said no its too soon it won't help u later on but something had changed in my body and I was pushing but they didn't believe me because I'd only just been examined an hour before and wasn't very far along. And all of a sudden at about 9.30 ish my waters popped in the bath and I was pushing!! None of the midwives could believe it. They got me out the bath and into a labour room and on gas and air and examined me I was 8-9 cm and was pushing baby came at 0016 gas and air only small episiotomy need ending stitches. Baby had pooped in me thick meconium so a paed was called but she cried abd was showing no signs of distressed so came straight to me for skin to skin! And all the pain and screaming just disappeared totally worth every minute! I felt so sorry for all te midwives though I was a nightmare screaming swearing everything I didn't handle it well at all but she's here now .

I think all my times are wrong in that just talking to my other half and he said it was too quick to keep track of anything but the pushing stage he says was reli unicorns coz everyone as rushing and panicking and trying to make me stop pushing haha.

Aaaarrrrggghhhhh. Sweep was unsuccessful, babies head is basically now completely in the way. Come on cervix, get with the program and dilate!

Evening ladies, well the winter wonderland was nice, we just walked around a lot, ate some food and had hot chocolate it was nice to get out in the air for a bit.

Random question but I have a whole chicken in the fridge, it had a date of 10.12.12 on it, surely it'll be ok eaten today wouldn't it? It didn't smell or look funny and as long as its cooked through will it be ok? I mean we are only talking a matter of hours since the date....

She went in a few hours ago and they were going to decide which progesterones to use depending on how favourable her cervix was, that was last I heard. Hopefully they've started her off now but could be a while x
