*****December Babies*****

Just had my 38 week mw appt and I'm being referred in to hospital for a second opinion.. baby measuring 34w, but this could be due to being dehydrated and less fluid, or baby is b2b... BP slightly up and slight prtein too... will let you know

Glad to hear things are ok with you doob, excited for you shoulou and wilson!
Katy let me know how you get on at hospital! Hopefully their measurements are just off and ots nothing to worry about xxx
I came home last night to find 4 lads in my birthing pool....grrrr! DH under strict instructions to clean it out tomorrow!

fx its early rather than later Sholou.

Klferrin, hope all goes well at the hospital for you.

Dysco, I'd be fuming too if they were using it as an adult paddling pool. I bet your face was a picture when you saw them, what did they say? lol x

it was hard to be cross at the sheer ridiculousness of the whole thing. especially when they told me they'd be trying out birthing positions (which they then showed me) and birthing faces (which they had pictures of). :wall:

i also found that they had being weighing their own heads then trying to get the kitchen scales as close to their maximum as possible without showing 'error' :wall: :wall: seriously they can make fun out of anything, they were supposed to be playing poker!

Haha dysco :) I think I would probably have died laughing.. Men are like kids :)
Klferrin, I had to go to the hospital last Friday because I was measuring 32cm.. But bubs was fine. FX everything is for you too.. Keep us updated :)
X

How do you weigh your own head? *ponders the logistics * lol. Was this with or without alcohol involved?

definitely with! they were figuring it out, having weighed kitchen implements and remote controlled helicopters. seriously you wouldnt know they were a mix of royal navy officer, 2 entrepreneurs, an educational psychologist and an executive in aviation sales! Lots of brains between them which seems to manifest its self in weird and wonderful ways and then leave the minute alcohol gets involved!

hehe so funny! I hope their heads don't hurt too much this morning x

Back from hospital now, everything ok! Blood pressure slightly elevated and slight protein in urine at mw appt, combine that with swelling in hands and feet she wanted me double checked. Then when measuring fundal he aight she only measured 34cm and struggled to find HB on Doppler!!

Went into OAU and my sister was working today so she came down to see me too. Baby was fine, heart beat ok and was kicking when on the trace. They sent me down for a growth scan and she is measuring perfectly!
HC = 37+5 (perfect!)
AC= 39+6 (little fatty!!)
FL = 38+4 (so tall like daddy)

AFI was 13.9 and RI (not sure what this is) was 0.59

My poor husband just walked out of his shop and left the staff. He told his parents "Katy's going in" so they were sat in their living room with coats on ready to travel to Cardiff thinking I was actually in labour! Anyway glad all ok in the end- phew!

OMG Emma you were worried poker night would end up with the boys in your pool!! So funny, but how naughty!! Hope he's suffering today!

Katy glad all ok - its such a worry isnt it! Emma - OMG - Id have killed them! x

Very pleased for you klferrin :) glad all measure right :) bless your OH sounds like he was worrying like crazy :) x

*TMI ALERT* I need some advice ladies. Just been to the loo and after wiping noticed this green/phlemy looking blob on the paper. It was about the size of a 5p so nothing substantial, however, I'm not sure stuff is supposed to be that colour coming out of me? Anyone had this too? X

That's mucus plug Hun. I had that for about a month before I had k xx

Is it , I didn't expect it to look like that I thought it was bloody or is that just before labour? So it can go on for weeks? Urgh! X

I started having bloody show 3 weeks before I had him. And it's basically the same consistency but has blood in it xx
