Hi ladies just got back home. Finally got the all clear but took a long time to get there. Was on the trace for three hours as babies heartbeat was racing at 180-190 for over an hour so the doctor wouldn't let me move until it had a sustained period of regulating itself. Eventually got there though and then had to wait for bloods to come back to rule out per eclampsia and liver engorgement and both have come back clear thankfully.

On a positive note LO has decided to move downwards and is now 3/5 palpable so hopefully she'll stay there now and won't pop back out fx. The doctor says though that even though her head is starting to snuggle into the pelvis her body is wrapped at an odd angle on my right hand side which is causing the pain and swelling on my bump so I've got to do lots of lying on my left, ball bouncing and on all fours over the next few days to encourage her to move, little madam xx

Doob I was 3/5 palpable last week and now she is back to brim hope your lo stays where she is xx

Sophs, Tbh I was very surprised when the mw at hospital said shed started to engage as I feel no different down there compared to Monday when the community mw put that the head was free. Who knows. I've decided to try and not worry about it all, she'll engage when she's ready or I'll just have to be induced and write this Xmas off lol it'll all be worth it in the end. Don't want to stress myself out and have LO stressed out too, really didn't like her hb going so high. At one point she spent 5 minutes averaging 202Bpm and I hated that.

Sosie, being on trace for that long was so uncomfortable. Here's hoping that I can have more mobile monitoring during labour cos it wasn't nice being attached to the bed and that was without contractions which I'm presuming you want to be free to move position for.

Just back from consultant appointment, had a stretch and sweep and was 2cm dilated before it. Being induced on Friday!!!

I'm ok thanks Doob, feel a little bit uncomfortable down there now that's all. No labour signs as yet so at present looks like induction is on for Friday!
Glad you got the all clear, must have been a nerve wracking day

First time in months I have struggled to get to sleep in the first place. I often wake up in the night and can't get back to sleep but just feels like I can't sleep at all!

Ugh hormonal rant alert: OH has annoyed me so much, I went to bed hours ago as I felt rough and told him pls could he make me some food ASAP as ive not eaten in hours and felt sick i was so hungry, to which he said he would do it now. then i wake up hours later at 12.30am and he's still on his laptop and just said 'well you fell asleep!' Grr I'm so mad at him and then he gets all rude with me because I'm upset as I know if im that hungry the babies must be hungry!
Just feel like he treats me like how he is when he's sick and leaves me alone to get on with it, when actually I need him to help out. I'm so annoyed just had cereal and gone back to bed. Being all hormonal now questioning why I'm having him at the labour lol. He does cook food etc most of the time as I struggle to stand for long and cook without feeling faint but he's just so lazy and everything is always done to his time which has resulted in many a 2am dinner!

Think I'm just nervous about induction as well and his constant 'it'll be fine' instead of talking to me about it is annoying, and they say spend time with your OH before baby comes but that doesn't happen much either, just get him on his laptop 24/7. Anyway rant over, I'm sure I'll love him again later lol.

Sammy, no one can blame you for being upset.. Your carrying twins (twice as many hormones ) I'm sure your OH will step up to the plate when it comes to labour. I had the same sort of argument about technology the other night.. He's either on his phone or the iPad.. So I've decided to ban them from the bedroom and the dining room
At least it gives us a bit of time to chat..
Newbie.. I bet your so excited I'd be tempted to put my out of office on now and just relax and enjoy your last two days

Good luck Wilson, I'm being induced tomorrow too so hopefully it all goes well for us!! I couldn't sleep last night so goodness knows what tomorrow will be like!

How does the going in for induction work, do you get a time or are you stuck waiting all day? X

Guess it varies hospital to hospital. I have to call up between 730 and 8 in the morning to check when to come in, am hoping they say early as I don't want to sit around! Guess it depends how busy they are.
Wilson I'm nervous too but will be fine, we will be in the best place for it! Reward is our lo's at the end. Seems weird that today is last day I can think only about myself! I sat there thinking that me and oh should have made most of the past few weeks on our own, he's at work tonight so we can't go out for a meal or anything on our own for last time!
