*****December Babies*****

I think part of me feels it's forever away and I've added another two weeks on for being over due in my head. Maybe tomorrow I'll start of those cupboards that need sorting lol x

I feel like this, I'm hoping reality will set in Friday when I'm not at work! Will pack my bag at the weekend I hope, setting birthing pool up then too cos I'm aiming for a home birth but being practical about the real possibility of going in, hence the need for a bag!

I think I'm going to re-pack my main bag and then make a separate one for OH to bring in as I'll most likely be in a few days. Will do that tomo. Wrapped a load of Christmas presents tonight and think even that was too much for me as suffering with BH's now :( I can't do anything these days.
Even with my induction date I don't feel motivated!

Exciting sholou!!

I was right when I said I thought baby had dropped at the weekend. Had my 34w midwife app today (I'm 34+2) and all is well with my urine and blood pressure and baby's hb is all good but he's already 2/5th engaged and she seems to think he's going to come sooner rather than later! Ideally want up get to 37w but trying to make sure everything absolutely sorted in case it's before then (as she also implied that it would probably be quick and instructed me to ring straight away if I get any pains or if my waters go). Eeek!!

How exciting fx LO stays put until 37 weeks though xx

Thanks :-)

Jodied, hope KO stays put a bit longer for you but would love to be told LO was imminent!

Doob I'd be livid too if DH hadn't done his pat leave, he did push it til quite late despite me having a copy of my matb1 form ready for him!

Thanks :-) men are rubbish sometimes aren't they!?

Dysco - 38 weeks wow! time seems to be flying!!
Jodie - Again - wow - I know you want to get to 37 weeks - of course you do but with LO already engaging - its good they are keeping an eye on you.

Me - Help. I am so swollen my wedding rings will not even go on my little finger. Seriously I am not joking my fingers/hands are unbelievably swollen and they hurt. My face is swollen and my feet and ankles. Its insane. MW says and docs that its just excessive water build up. BUt what can i do to relieve it? xxxx

Thanks :-) not sure what to suggest for the swelling Hun as I haven't had this but hope someone can help x

Dani, that sucks :(
Newbie your bump is lovely and neat.
Good luck with the MW appointment.. 36 weeks :)
Ahhh sophs and Jodie:) sounds like your LO's can't wait to meet you.. FX baby's stay put until 37 weeks :)
Xxx

Thanks :-)

Induction booked for December 4th so I will officially be a December mummy! Finally have a date to go by!

Yay!! I'm on standby for the excitement of a twinny labour thread!!! x

Looks like im joining the december babies, im 4 days late, no bh, cervix still closed and induction booked for the 30th xx

I'm sorry your lo is being a pickle Wilson! Come on baby mummy is more than ready to meet you. Still time to be a Nov mummy Hun xx

I reckon you'll have had yours by then :) I'm not sure if mine will have to stay in, it's most likely so got to prepare myself for that too. I feel so unprepared although think I'll always will feel that way. Need to sterilise things, it's all so confusing to me lol

Have they given you a recent weight estimate Hun for the boys? What's the criteria for them staying in do you know? Obviously if they have any troubles then they would but my hospital also had a weight policy so any baby under 2.5kg (around 5lbs9) would at least get sent to special care for assessment. Ella was 2.52kg so borderline and they assessed her song kept her because her blood sugars were low x

Just been catching up as I'm wide awake lol! I'm on constant alert after my MW app thinking I'm going to go into labour any minute! I obviously want him to stay put until 37w but really hope he's here soon after that as I can't imagine waiting for another 7+ weeks if he was overdue!! I can really tell that he is in my pelvis when I walk or do anything now which is strange as I didn't ever have that with Ella. I've decided to start my mat leave a week earlier than planned so my last day will be this Fri. I haven't been working much anyway so it won't make much difference money wise and I don't want to risk being sent somewhere and going into labour. Starting to get myself all organised generally - finances eg VAT return, admin arrangments for finishing work, final bits ready for bubs arriving and now need to make a concerted effort to get the Xmas shopping sorted! x

I didn't get up once for the loo last night!! definite sign lo is back to back. I am beyond pissed off.
going to spend all day bouncing on my ball :( xx

Soph she has plenty of time to change don't worry mine is bouncing all over the place yesterday at one point he was transverse then back to the left then on the right. It's not unusual for first time mums to engage the week of due date so don't panic just yet.

well she's ready to engage but had decided she want's to do it like that! little moo. So sick of this now lol. can when just fast forward to December already! at least that explains why I have felt like I've been kicked in my pubic bone xx

I second fast forwarding December :) I'm sure I'm going to have to be induced.. So I think I will be a January mummy :(

I SO want it to be december! unofficially my last day at work today.....feels weird! I'll probably be in a bit next week, for bits and bobs cos i'm taking annual leave, then I'm due the week after! EEEEEEK!

I think it will be just survival. DH got up at 3.30 this morning for work and i stirred and couldn't get back to sleep, i'm like walking zombie! my last lecture is unlikely to make much sense at all, feel sorry for the students!

lol. I had my last days teaching a few weeks ago and I just stood there and looked at them with a blank expression. baby brain had struck and they all just laughed at me. at least we have excuses :) x

Yes yes yes! Roll on December! Dysco thank god for your last (un)official day at work!!! You must be so relieved

Don't worry Sophs I'm pretty sure my LO is back to back too at the moment but they can turn all the time, even in labour!
Have you checked out the spinning babies website? I've started doing the inversion technique now, but need hubby to help pull me back onto the sofa!

oooo i'll look now! it's my fault. I was reading that you shouldn't sit crossed legged, with your feet up or slouch............ I have been doing all of the above xx
